Had a great experience for a group where we made a reservation! Waiter and food was delicious. Wanted to make another reservation for a group for graduation, because on Yelp & google it says they are still taking reservations. When I called, said that they are not taking reservations anymore at all but when I asked how busy they are on thursday nights, for the specific day that I asked about they said that they are booked for that night. This place was awesome! I can see why it has so many stars, the food is cheap fast and big portions.

I have eaten several times in the bar area & usually order the firecracker chicken tacos but substitute the chicken for shrimp. I do not eat chicken. The bartender has always been happy to do it & there has NEVER been an up charge for the substitution. Today, in the dining room I ask Tyler, our waiter if I could substitute the chicken for the shrimp & he said yes. I received the check & was charged $11.95. The menu said $8.95. I ask him why & he did not know & said that is the price. I explained that I had ordered it many times for the $8.95 price.. He did not understand, so a man from the kitchen came out & explained that the $11.95 price is not on the menu & the waiters don't know the price until it is rang up. He then begin arguing that the staff was giving away too much food & costing them a lot of money.....not my problem. If you are going to charge me $3 extra for something you need to give me the option to except the price or choose something else. He also tried telling me the shrimp cost more than chicken & it cost more to prepare...not my problem!!!!! I am a customer & a loyal one & I believe the professional & proper thing to do would be to take the $3 off my bill & I would know next time not to order the shrimp tacos. ALSO, you might add this to the menu as a substitute with the price...what a novel idea Gene Marsh@!! The person with me who was elderly & ordered a regular margarita on ice with salt. Tyler did not refer her to the drink menu, which would be the logical thing to do. He brings a mango margarita frozen???????? She liked it but that is not what she ordered. PLEASE TRAIN YOUR WAIT STAFF. If I were in a better restaurant they would have done the right thing!!! They didn't inquire as to if we want a booth or table and sat us in the very middle of the room, my boyfriend and I both have an issue with crowds and noise and it made dining extremely unpleasant. I guess I was mistaken that this was a more relaxed dining experience without kids screaming and running around tables like duck duck goose. My boyfriend's medium steak was well done. Our drinks were bland. The matchstick vegetables tasted like nothing. Good thing our waiter was so nice and informative or we would have walked out. Okay so even though I wasn't craaaaazy about the fish tacos, I think that was more of a personal preference thing. Everything we ordered was amazing. I just realized I didn't get any pictures.. Probably because there wasn't enough time before stuffing our faces! We started with the calamari and firecracker shrimp.. Which had our hearts hooked as soon as we laid eyes on them. Almost as soon as we got started on our apps we were already talking about coming back next week for our friends birthday. The ribs were just how the waiter described them "fall off the bone". The chicken tenders were so good, not greasy and thick but light and super crunchy! The kids alfredo was more than enough to fill our little ones belly..... AND there house salad dressing amazing! It's a lemon vinaigrette that you just have to try! Happy dining, you won't be disappointed! Our go-to for a great dinner. The cedar plank salmon is always excellent and the bourbon glaze sauce should be bottled! The ribs are fall off the bone and better than any specialty rib place on town. This was our first time trying it out. I heard about FD's from several friends. We really enjoyed our dinner, the prices were very reasonable, and the atmosphere was casual and upbeat. We went on a Saturday evening about 6pm so expected it to be busy our wait was average, about 20-30 minutes. Our server was very good, although busy with several tables we never had to wait for refills. Our order was correct and he was very prompt and friendly. Our food was very good, portions were generous and prices were right. I had the fish taco combo and would definitely order it again, my spouse had chicken tenders. We didn't know this place existed. We are huge fans of cheddars and we accidentally stumbled on this hidden gem. I hate seafood and my husband loves it. We order the three cheese crab dip and it was amazing. They have some of the best loaded mashed potatoes and corn. I got the tenders and ribs. It was amazing and very comparable to the taste and price of cheddars. Husband got the catfish, tenders, and shrimp with coleslaw and was equally satisfied. We will be back. Our party of 3 ordered the fried pickles appetizer, which was terrific, the gumbo- which was mediocre at best, and a Hawaiian chicken salad. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, this was during lunch time. Once one of our party took a bite of her Hawaiian chicken salad and got a mouthful of gristle, we were done. Well, I guess we waited too long to try this place out, because the experience we had was nothing like the mountains of reviews I have read since this place opened. Having visited Fish Daddy's in Tulsa a few times, I really don't believe my expectations were out of line, and price-wise they are very close, but that is where the comparisons stop. We were greeted and led to a table immediately. Before sitting down, I noticed a stack of napkins propped under one leg of the table; not a big deal- I know these things happen, and I have had tables with uneven legs before. But when we sat down, it became obvious that the table wasn't just wobbly; it was somehow coming apart; it was broken. It had about a 5 inch run-out from corner to corner, and any time either one of us touched it, it would oscillate up and down, and even start to spin like a carnival ride. Eating in a restaurant staffed by the oblivious is never recommended, but we maintained our positive attitude and just kind of rode the table like the Tilt-A-Whirl at the Empire Fair. FD's is a nice place both inside and out, the décor reminds me a little of places like Cheddars or Appleby's. The layout, and the position of the "tables" contributes to the noisy atmosphere, which I have to assume is what they are going for, because you could quiet things down easily by hanging a few soft wall objects/dividers strategically throughout the open space without compromising capacity in the least. Price-wise, it seems pretty reasonable, with many offerings which I would consider bargains when compared to competing restaurants. Overall, my feeling is that it would be best to stick with the fried foods at this establishment, making it a questionable choice for those trying to eat healthy. Our waitress, "D", who will remain nameless and given an extremely generous benefit of a doubt, was either completely untrained or perhaps had unwittingly sat on a very long fork prior to our arrival. We were served our warm red wine in moderately cloudy glasses, and we had some calamari which was easily the best part of the meal. The entrees were O.K. We both had fish; my companion's grilled salmon was good. I had the snapper, which seemed to have been cooked earlier and re-heated based on the texture and dryness. We both liked the vegetables. Everything tasted O.K. but was barely warm when served. And, it needed salt. The shaker produced about 1 granule per every 5 full arm extension shakes, so we swapped with an empty table. Same thing. I pointed this out to the waitress, who took the shaker in the kitchen, counted to 10, and then returned saying there was nothing wrong with it. So, props for helping me manage my sodium intake, but a definite downgrade for problem-solving abilities and especially, attitude. My final experience with FD's Grillhouse occurred a bit later in the evening, and thankfully, at home. I will spare you the details, but in a way I am glad, because it makes my decision to not bother ever going back there just a little easier. read more

Normally this place is one of my favorite's in town. Usually is top notch but, last night me and my family came in about 7:30 and had a sub-par experience. Our server neglected us most of the time and we couldn't get her to get us basic things like a refill even when we asked for it she forgot we had to ask again and still didn't get what we needed for another 20 minutes then had to ask another server. And not only did our food take forever but when it did half the table had cold food.
