We had our wedding here which was amazing seamless magical just...like so so perfect! I have a lot to say about this place- 1. Food- wedding food is never very good right? No!! The food at the wedding was so delicious - we had yummy pass trays and a fruit/cheese display, and then the buffet was so good (fish and prime rib)! I've heard the bride and groom never actually eat but we did because this food was amazing!! Fresh, and the hot food hot, the cold food cold, the bread was fluffy not stale- it was so good!! 2. Drinks- delicious, in good drink-ware glasses (no tacky plastic cups) and the drinks came quickly and as ordered! Awesome! 3. Price- there is no way you will get a wedding this nice, this easily, anywhere else on Coronado. 4. Setting/location- Little things make a venue special you know? Like, for example, when you go out to dance, and you see the Coronado Bridge looping over the ocean, you feel a slight ocean breeze, you see rolling green hills on the golf course, and palm trees and little lights above you, it is just beautiful! But other things also made this venue really really easy- for us and our guests. For example, you can park there for free. A small benefit, but it makes a big difference for older relatives and people who aren't just going to Uber out of the wedding. The bathrooms, it's not like one small stall, there are multiple stalls for the guests, and even the bathroom was just re-done, and it's elegant and modern. The venue itself allows for really whatever you want- you can put flowers where you want, lights where you want, up lights if you so choose, a photo projected onto a wall - whatever you want. A lot of places don't have that kind of flexibility. There are venues that are beautiful, but then you have to find a caterer, linens, decoration, lights etc. etc. Feast and Fairaway provide all of that without the nauseating up - charge because this party is a wedding, not just a party. They just redid the entire place and not one corner is ugly. Every single angle has something- new modern tile work! Beautiful wood floor! View of the bay! 5. People- especially JAN!! Jan is the glue that makes the whole thing happen. She was like a wedding planner, chef, light expert, party guru, seating chart planner, reception coordinator, shoulder to cry on, day of person-- just everything you could ever imagine. Without her this would have been really hard to navigate (as we've never gotten married before nor planned a wedding). She is the perfect person to be in charge of events here- she is organized, professional, direct, trustworthy, and kind- also very fun and knows what makes a good party!! Colin the manager also was very helpful and responsive, and the staff the day of were great too. There are a million little things that made this the perfect place for our wedding (did I mention the perfect place for sunset photos on a background of flowers is right on the gold course? Or the tables able to fit different amounts of people per table thus avoiding many issues??) but overall I'm just so thankful we had our wedding here! read more

Husband and I were were eager to try this new restaurant because we are long time fans of Johan Engel's establishments. We waited till any opening bugs were worked out, and we were not disappointed. Fabulous weather with just right temps accompanied our leisurely breakfast on the outdoor patio. Great view of the golf course with Glorietta Bay in the background. The service was on point with our server showing up at just the right times. Our drinks were delicious. Husband had a perfect Bloody Mary and I enjoyed a something Breeze with muddled blackberry, lemon, mint and vodka. Husband had the Croque Madame and said it was delicious, and I had the burrito. It was a cut above with tender skirt steak. The potatoes were sooo good. All the food was beautifully seasoned and presented. We plan to return for lunch and dinner. read more

This by far is a hidden gem in Coronado. Although slightly away from the busy orange ave. restaurants in the Coronado area, Feast and Fareway was amazing. The truffle burger was by far one of the most unique and delicious that I have ever tried. We recently got married at Feast & Fareway and we cannot put into words how incredible the venue and staff were for our big day! The event planner Jan Barranco was an absolute joy to work with and made sure every little detail was taken care of. She helped us so much that we honestly do not know what we would have done without her, thank you Jan!! The bartenders and staff were great all night long and never stopped working to make sure our guest were taken care of. We played golf the day before the wedding so we got to enjoy the course, breakfast, and dinner - the full experience! Thank you so much F&F for everything! Came for lunch recently. Chilly, but we ate outside for the view. Server seemed interested in his job. Hardly anyone else dining at that time so imagine my surprise when once our food was delivered, we did not see a staff person again. No one checked to ask if our meal was ok (it was just ok) and no offers of hot or cold drink refills. On a chilly day it would have been nice to warm up a coffee etc. I didn't feel welcomed or well treated. It was as if we were eating at a fast food restaurant. read more

The menu changed a lot from the one they had before and we miss their french dip sandwich and their fabulous rubens. The service was great and the restaurant is much prettier but the food is not as good as it used to be. We used to dine there at least once a month. I'm sure their food is great but I wouldn't recommend them as a wedding venue... My fiancé and I visited Feast and Fairway about a month and a half ago for a tour with Robin, their coordinator. We were pleasantly surprised by the wedding packages, the promise of how easy everything was going to be and how Robin would be there to answer and questions/concerns whenever we had them. After about a week of following-up with other venues, we decided to start the contracting process with her. This is where everything turned out to be a nightmare. We had several questions which needed to be addressed before signing the paperwork and were repeatedly assured by Robin that she would get back to us by the end of the day with answers. However, after weeks of phone calls and emails, only a few of our questions had been addressed. Still uneasy about a few contract items, we asked Robin if she would speak with the owners to see if there was any wiggle room, and once again, we were assured that she would reply by the end of business that day. Two weeks went by with no response. I then reached out to Jan, Robin's partner/manager at Feast and Fairway. I explained to her our situation and how the lack or communication/responses made us feel even more uneasy about moving forward. We loved the venue, but were concerned that we'd run into the same inattentiveness if we decided to move forward, so I asked if Jan could help us out instead. Jan assured me that she could help and would just need to run everything by their General Manager. Once again, crickets. A few days went by, so I left another voicemail asking for a status update on our questions. After another week with no response, I called again. Finally, Jan called me back. She said she thought Robin had reached back out to us to address our remaining concerns (she never did) and that she would not be able to assist us if we moved forward. At that point, I let her know we were no longer interested in the venue. read more

Feast & Fareway is a lovely and welcomed update to the Coronado Golf Course. The renovations that were made highlight the location's naturally beautiful scenery and provide the perfect backdrop for a delicious meal; breakfast, lunch or dinner. I had the pleasure of visiting right before sunset for dinner and had the short rib....it was delicious and served with the creamiest, cheesiest scalloped potato type casserole and broccolini. The meat fell of the bone, was perfectly tender and full of flavor. We also tried the tres leches dessert, which I do not regret a single bit of that sweetness because it was legit that good. Perfect amount of sweetness, perfectly moist - not overly saturated as many other tres leches I've had. To top it off, the wine selection offered several varietals to compliment the meal. I can only hope I don't get Covid-19. First off they disinfected they table which is good but everything went downhill after that. The Service was slow and un attentive taking them 20 minutes to bring us a straw after we had gotten our drinks and silverware after we had gotten our food. The server constantly was touching his face and his hair and with those same ungloved hands handled the lemons, the straws and our silverware to the point where we had to disinfect them with the tequila we were drinking before we would put them in our mouths. The lemons we disregarded altogether. If I wasn't so hungry I just would've left. I'll never come back to this place to eat anything and as I said earlier I hope I don't get sick. Boyfriend and I came here for dinner, the staff was very friendly. We both ordered the truffle burger with fries and they came out great, fries were very crispy. We both ordered desserts also and those were delicious. It's not just "golf course restaurant" good, this place really is good enough as it's own standalone restaurant. Our family was so excited for the restaurant to re-open! It's been a regular spot for us for years. It's so loud now we can't enjoy a conversation. We went for breakfast. Food was not hot. Super slow service. We went there with a group of friends for Happy Hour a month or so later. Several in our party ordered various martini's. The waitress only swooped by our table, never stopping to say anything except the bare minimum to take our order. She practically ran past our table. The patio was too windy for eating, and the inside restaurant was incredibly noisy. The breakfast menu was more complete, but the lunch menu was quite limited. Too bad. We have eaten here several times recently, enjoyed it and wanted to write a review. We were very surprised to see the previous reviews with low ratings that had already been posted! We are from out of state but visit Coronado and it's great eateries regularly. The views are fabulous and the location is wonderful! The service was prompt, efficient and friendly, especially given the busyness of the restaurant. The food, on each occasion was really good and reasonably priced. We had the eggs Benedict on one visit and they were excellent...prepared just as we had ordered (and we're pretty picky!). The only reason this isn't a 5 star rating is/are the acoustics of the room(s). It was very loud (during golf outing, Sunday Brunch, private event) every time we were there. Maybe that will be better after the upcoming renovations are complete. Looking forward to going back to the same great views, food and service and improved atmosphere when they reopen! read more

The recent renovation is stunning; great views of the golf course and water and skyline, and the restaurant offers a wonderful breakfast menu. I am vegan and am very grateful they have 3 vegan breakfast choices. I had the Jammin Bennie which is a vegan version of Eggs Benedict - DELICIOUS! We approached the Manager Alan about trying to add one or two vegan lunch and dinner choices (only reason we are giving it 4 stars not 5) and he was lovely about it. Gave us the tour and said he would work on it. Thanks Alan - we'll be waiting! Our server was delightful, the coffee nice and strong, and the price quite reasonable. Plenty of outdoor seating and not very busy for 9am breakfast. Lots of good choices on menu. Prices not bad. Service was very slow. The blue crab and crawfish Benedict had very good flavor but was ice cold when brought to the table. Three out of four meals were delivered to table and the Matcha Smoothie bowl took another 8 minutes to arrive. When it came it was terrible and had the consistency of soup.
