Great food - crab toast, oysters, scallops. Bare bone environment but the food really shines. Nice wine selections, solid service in a cool location!

Had a reservation for 2 @ 5pm. Came in a little earlier and was seated. Super unassuming little place. Not many tables and feels family run? We didn't realize they had oyster hour 5-630 pm from Wednesday - Sunday! Really cool, def took advantage and ordered oysters ($1.50 each!) + bread and butter to start. For mains, we got steak frites and the salmon. I didn't catch the server saying both would be served medium well, but I wish I had cos I think I would've preferred my salmon a little more cooked. Portion sizes are fit for one person. Next time, I think we'll explore more of the oyster hour options to try!

I really wanted to love this place, but I left a bit disappointed and still hungry. When I walked in, it wasn't very crowded, and I came during happy hour specifically for the oysters. I ordered the cauliflower and the steak frites as well. Despite the light crowd, the server barely checked on me after dropping off the food, and it was hard to get her attention when I needed anything since she was mostly in the back. The oysters were amazing, but the cauliflower was soggy with no crunch. The steak frites was actually really good, but it took way too long to arrive. For the price, the portions were also on the smaller side. I even considered ordering more food, but with how long everything took, I didn't want to wait even longer. What really bothered me was the slow pace of service. I ordered before another table, yet they received their food first, which was frustrating. I ended up spending more time waiting than actually eating. Overall, I'd only recommend coming here for the oysters as they were the highlight. But the service was slow even though the place wasn't busy.

I picked this spot bc of its resy/amex benefit. The restaurant is super cute and cozy. Our waitress was friendly and the wines we each ordered were all great (I don't believe they have any cocktails). I was a bit bummed the fish entrees didn't come with any greens or accompaniments. The melon and shrimp salad was fresh and had great flavor. Also, the dessert menu was a bit limited (they only had 1 option and the waitress even gave recommendations for dessert options in the area).

An intimate dining experience in Coronado - it isn't a super fancy, aesthetic type restaurant. But it has heart and the food was good. We got the oysters and a glass of wine to start. The oysters were on the brinier side, so if you prefer a more creamy taste, this might be a skip. We also got the bread and the potato croquettes. Both were delicious, but the bread really got us! They had two different butters, one herb and one that was more red peppery. They paired well with the brioche. We ended with the steak frites which were good, but the steak was definitely a smaller portion than we thought. Not the most welcoming when first entering. I believe the host who greeted us is also the owner. Our waitress was amazing! Super attentive and very friendly. A good spot to try out if you're in the area.

Their oysters are sooo yummy. I love smaller oysters and they did not disappoint. Their cauliflower, marinara potato balls and Brussels sprouts were also fire. We walked in and were seated pretty quickly but I would probably grab a reservation before I go next time since it's a smaller spot.

Absolutely wonderful! From start to finish. We enjoyed every moment dining here. From the view, to the ambience to the delicious food! We sat outside and it is definitely a must visit! The service was great and we truly enjoyed our time here. The only dish we were not a fan of was the ROASTED BEET SALAD. The beets were so yummy, and all the ingredients were great, however...the bitterness of the arugula (which I eat often) overpowered the entire salad, imo. If they mixed in additional greens and or added a drizzle of honey or a balsamic reduction, it would've been perfect! What we ended up doing was putting the side of berries (that my fiancé requested as his side dish with his steak, instead of garlic fries and asparagus), and added it into the salad, which complimented his steak, nicely.

The service at Jolie was excellent. Food was delicious, my favorite being the crab toast. This is a cute little place so I recommend making reservations.

Good for what we came for - happy hour oysters... I wasn't a fan of the sauces that came with...next time i will stick with lemons and tabasco as an option. Bread and butter plate is delicious. Crab toast was just ok. My friend had the scallop and the crudo of the day and said they were good. Service was ok. The inside itself has minimalist decor. good to keep costs down

Such a great surprise in Coronado. The food was excellent. I've been dreaming about that crab toast!

This place was great! First off it's a cozy space and isn't glamorous but the food speaks for itself. They have a killer wine menu esp the French wines. I really liked that you didn't have one dedicated server but rather a team. We ordered the oysters, scallops, crispy cauliflower, crab toast, loup de mer, and steak frites. The loup de mer, crab toast and crispy cauliflower were def my favs. Everything was packed with flavor and nice portion sizes. We will def be coming back here!!

This place was perfect for date night! The location is prime, right by centennial park! It's small, but super quaint and felt very private. The service was great and it was delicious!!! We had reservations and went on a Friday night. I was told the happy hour is phenomenal

So worth it! We had such a great dinner there with friends. The place used to be butcher shop and they kept the decor very minimalistic which was fine. The seats could use cushions since the ones we sat on were metal. Again, not a big deal but could elevate the experience. The inside is intimate, they can only hold 34 people in the restaurant. They could use more baffles to help with the sound. Even with this, I am giving them 5 stars. The food was amazing and the staff were great. There were only two people and they were on it. Not sure how they serve the beautiful and amazing food they do in their tiny kitchen but wow. There were four of us and below is what we ordered. Scallops and oysters - so fresh and the sauce the scallops were in was light and refreshing. Brussel sprouts- the BEST! The sausage with it was fantastic and they were perfectly cooked. Ribeye- not on the menu. Very tender. The sauce was good but a bit salty. To be fair, we don't use a lot of salt on any of our food and our friends loved it. Loup de Mer - Mediterranean Sea bass- FANTASTIC and the presentation was amazing. Pork chop- holy cow! Tender and flavorful and so yummy. Dessert- ice cream with olive oil and a sauce I had never had before as salt. It was so simple yet so scrumptious!. I would 100% return!!! So, so good. Note- corkage fee is $25.

When I asked the bartender if that was the full menu, since it seemed odd there wasn't even a charcuterie option, his response was, "which restaurant has two menus?" Not the best start. Shortly after, when we mentioned we wanted to order a bottle, we were then handed a much more extensive wine list...which also included another small bites menu. That alone was confusing and felt inconsistent. We ordered a rosado from Spain, which we did enjoy, but overall the experience didn't match what you'd expect from a wine bar. The bottle wasn't chilled, and we noticed others in the restaurant had the same issue. Service was also lacking. The bartender never checked back on us, despite us sitting right at the bar. Overall, not the experience we were expecting. I'd recommend saving your money and going elsewhere.

This time around, it was just the 3 of us, to chat over some wine and apps. Had their April featured Pinot, which was amazing (had 2 glasses). It's good to keep in mind that they only sell their flatbreads on certain days and unfortunately, they didn't serve it when we went. First, I still really enjoy the Carruth Wine Garden. It is nice to have an outdoor space to drink wine right in the center of the city. In general there plenty of parking ,and it is dog friendly. As far as the wine, it is very good. I like some more than others. More recently, I have enjoyed the Unicorn Red Blend ( a longtime favorite) and the Syrah. I love that it is dog friendly, inside and out. My dog loves going there and she makes friends each time. A change that they made recently is that the main garden area is now child-free, which was a positive change in my options, as it had gotten a bit chaotic in the past with children not being very well supervised. The still have a family-friendly outdoor space. In the past, there was always live music when I came. I was there most recently on a Saturday evening and was disappointed that there was no music. Also, the prices have gone up ($18 per glass). Unfortunately, I found the pours to be somewhat inadequate, though it depended which staff member was pouring the wine. They do not allow for outside food, and only make certain dishes certain days of the week, which unfortunately doesn't allow for many options if you are hungry. Water is readily available inside and outside. All in all, it is a lovely place with good wine to come with friends and your 4-legged friends. It has gotten a bit pricey, and I do wish we could bring out own snacks, but I still enjoy going and am sure that I will be back.

So I turned around and stopped in. What I found was a quaint, tucked-away, almost inconspicuous spot delivering food and hospitality at a level that honestly borders on absurd for how unassuming it appears from the outside. The service was warm, polished, and intuitive without ever feeling pretentious. Hats off to both chefs, Christi and Mark for making me feel welcome. The wine pairings? Thoughtful, balanced, and exactly what you hope for from a restaurant that actually respects food. And then there's the burger. This thing reads like poetry: Ribeye and NY strip trim blend, cooked like a proper steak (medium rare, the only correct answer here), melted gouda, a soft house potato roll, all resting in a luxurious bordelaise sauce that would make a French chef nod in approval. Seriously. This is not a "burger joint burger." This is a chef-driven, butcher-minded expression of beef. Every bite tastes intentional. The bordelaise underneath ties the entire thing together with this deep, glossy richness that elevates it from comfort food into something bordering on fine dining.
