Wow, such a night-and-day difference between the Pleasanton store and the San Ramon location! I went to this one after my horrible experience at the Pleasanton FedEx Office store, and my experience here is consistent like the previous visits. Workstations are always available, and if I don't need them (which I didn't), the printers are also available. I decided to go home after my awful experience at the Pleasanton location and just work on my document there since the San Ramon location is pretty close. After getting that done, I saved a copy of my document on my phone, drove to the San Ramon location, and then went to the printer to retrieve my document with the retrieval code method. Once that was done, I got a folder to put my documents in, waited briefly for an employee to check me out, and the manager was quite friendly too, unlike the other manager at the Pleasanton location. Great service also came with great value, as the prints aren't expensive, and neither was the folder! I will keep coming back to this location; I should not have gone to the other one because it was closer at the time. read more

I came in today to have some wedding film rolls packaged and shipped. Last time I was here, one of the employees didn't seal the envelope at all, which resulted in my package being lost. Today, I made sure to emphasize that this package contained important wedding film photos and needed to be handled carefully. The employee assured me, saying "I got you," but then simply placed the rolls on the metal table next to the box. Even after 25 minutes, while I was shopping for office supplies, the rolls were STILL left out in the open. When I brought it up to another employee and explained the previous incident, my concerns were ignored. I've been dismissed one too many times and now I will go to the UPS store or the post office. They don't care about me when I'm there, they certainly won't miss my business. So apparently Ashley is the Assistant Manager, unbelievable. She lacks basic customer service skills, and she's just rude. Came in after work to drop 2 packages with a QR code. She takes me to the self service kiosk, and says I can leave my packages on the counter. I told her I wasn't comfortable leaving $400 worth of stuff on the counter. Then my QR code isn't scanning and I ask "why can't we scan the codes at the counter" (like they do all of the time). She says "we do it over here". I said I do it all of the time at the counter, She repeats herself in the same rude tone. I told her I know the manager and she sarcastically says "say hi to him for me". Unreal. My codes aren't scanning and she walks away and says loudly "Mike, can you help this guy he doesn't know how to scan a code". WOW. There was a complete lack of any professionalism, a complete lack of willingness to help me, and a lack of decency. This was a simple transaction that I do all of the time (Nordstrom returns use Fed Ex) and I'm baffled by this horrible interaction. I work in hospitality and I'm always friendly to anyone helping me, but this time I told her she should work on her skill set. Went in here around 5pm on a Saturday to pick up boxes for a shipment but didn't know what size box to get. It wasn't that busy. Only two workers. While I was looking at boxes from the counter, Ben came out and asked me how he can help. He asked me what kind of items I'll be shipping and the weight and took out boxes that he thought might work. *Terrible Experience with FedEx Printing Services - Avoid at All Costs!* I have had multiple bad experiences with this FedEx location, and it's not just the service--it's the people. The staff has humiliated me, screamed, and yelled at me for no reason whatsoever. Despite the fact that they clearly need more business, I tried to help them, but it looks like they don't need or appreciate it. The self-service printing machines are a nightmare--many of them are either broken or malfunctioning, and the ones that "work" frequently give errors and don't print as expected. When I asked for assistance, I was screamed at and told to pay even before I even saw the printed paper. I was treated as though I was going to run off with the papers without paying--yes, while in my wheelchair. It's outrageous! Every single staff member I've encountered here has been ill-mannered, and their behavior is completely unacceptable. Save yourself the trouble and take your business elsewhere. These guys are stuck in the 80s, think that shipping options are limited. They refused to accept a package a Walmart return in the exact packaging that it was received via FEDEX with a FEDEX label still on it. The guy agent wanted to sell me a box and packaging charges -- and wouldn't accept my package saying it was policy not to accept the same shipment for return... which he clearly made up, and had every intent of making it an unpleasant interaction. No wonder UPS is best rated in San Ramon ... not sure if or how they hope to change that with service and reps like this esp. making something so apparent and easy difficult. Tried using their printing services and just to start printing you have to pay 55 cents per minute. By the time their very slow computers/ internet pops up and navigating through their printing services you have already used 5 to 10 minutes @ 55 cents a minute. Spent over $10 and still could not print. Tried to get help from FedEx staff and they do not have enough staff to help ( that's what a staff member told me) . The walk in customers have precidence over the customers paying 55 cents a minure.Dont print anything at this location. Not user friendly a waste of time and money. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 star due to FedEx staff member Emanuel. At the last minute he tried helping but was unsuccessful. Very poor service. I will never use them again. read more

I've had mixed experiences with this FedEx location but I can say with 100% certainty, DO NOT use their printing services.

I arrived at the store and was the only customer. There were two employees behind the counter, discussing what they had for lunch. Eventually one of them looked up and I said hello. I hoped my salutation would be a clue that I needed some assistance. They both said hi. The man continued doing what he was doing and the woman proceeded to get on the phone and make a call. No acknowledgement of me (the customer). No, I'll be with you in a few minutes. Then a third employee eventually appeared and asked if I needed help. I was the only person of color in the store before the third employee appeared and asked if I needed assistance. The two employees behind the counter ignoring me were caucasien . It was blatant racism. I have complained to corporate and am waiting a response. read more

I just came in today to scan 28 pages and put them on my USB drive. The copier I was using would not allow me to download to USB. When I asked one of the staff to help me, he suggested that I email them first and then pick the USB function later which resulted in me being charged $16 for something I didn't need. The copier malfunctioned again and I asked for a refund at which point he simply stated "you should go to UPS store" and "you disrespected me and we're done". He then walked alway and went outside to smoke a cigarette . I lost my money and felt insulted by this man's actions. He does not belong in a customer service role at any job. I went outside and asked his name he said "don't worry about it" his coworker said his name was Bobby. Attached is a photo of the store and the employee smoking and hiding from my camera. I don't normally do business with FedEx due to past experiences, but had to since my company has an account with them. (It's been years for me) I ordered next day air forgetting we were closed for the holidays. I had to redirect my package to my nearest FedEx office so I could pick it up when it came in. The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable. They follow policies and procedures. They'll do their best to assist you and find solutions to your needs. I didn't get the manager's name, but he was very friendly and helpful. He was very considerate and understanding. "Santa," was great too! She was sweet and ready to help! The photo printer was down and when it was suggested we use their printers my bf had a really drawn-out heated discussion regarding what was needed to print out a passport photo we had in preparation. Telling a customer I need a "2x2" of a DIGITAL file makes NO SENSE, for the record. You'd think they'd know what DPI was... as a printing company. The person I presume who was the manager was so set in his way that it was nothing short of condescending. Nothing of my experience reflected that they were knowledgeable or helpful, but I'll give them that they were patient. We weren't charged but to think they were going to charge us $16 to print the photo (which btw, we wanted to do it on our own) should have been an indicator that I didn't want them to take the photo. I've used this FedEx Office a few times, and have got pretty good service and end results. Its more than a shipping center - they have tons of office supplies and a print center for making custom signs. It also helps that they open early and close late, so convenient if you need to come after work. Two of my latest experiences here: 1. I bought my dad a camera for a birthday present online and tested it before shipping it to him. I brought the camera and all the accessories to the FedEx Office and they packed it up for me. It arrived on time and on good working condition! 2. I had a few time-sensitive documents to mail out. I printed the shipping label at home and chose the cheapest option at $8.95 for like a 3-day expected arrival. I was received within 1-day, score! read more

I called ahead to ask if my husband would be able to pick up the package and they said yes as long as he has the same address where it is addresses to on his drivers license. FedEx San Ramon, CA review Another Update: I have an account with FedEx and I came back today to follow up with the manager Christopher. I informed him that when I pull up that my 2 yo now recognizes the place and is so terrified that he says, "Mommy I want to stay in the car. I don't want to go in." To this end I told him that no one apologized and his manager (the district manager) still has not followed up with me a month later. I also informed both of them previously that I have observed Ashley treating a Black man and a Bi-racial lady in like manner and neither of them had kids with them. I was informed that the district manager told him that if I want to do business here that I need to bring someone with me to watch my son or drive 15 minutes away to do my business in Pleasanton when I live down the street from the San Ramon location, work here and my son goes to school here. I was further informed that if I don't like the atmosphere or the people here I can go somewhere else. This further signifies that they "have each others back and condone this type of behavior". This truly disgusts me that this is how FedEx treats their customers and their business customers. No one has addressed the root cause which is her continued bad behavior and unprofessionalism and quite frankly her covert racism and harassment that is allowed. My business uses FedEx for deliveries and I don't have any other option because it's corporate that decides who we use. I would appreciate an appropriate resolution to this problem. Furthermore I feel as though she thinks she's entiltled because she's the only employee that doesn't wear a badge. Even her manager wears a badge. That speaks volumes right there. My name is absent minded And while the Christ mas stuff was going on I miss placed my tracking receipt. After getting no where with the online automated system I found myself driving back to the fed ex in my town USA. That's when a young man named TRAVIS overheard me talking to another team member and went right to work on his keyboards switching stations based in machine used to cast my package to my oldest in AUSTIN. After about fifteen minutes he got thru all the wrong dates I thought I had sent it and found that package in Fort Worth to be delivered this week. TRAVIS was an amazing employee who took the time to search and find that gift the absent minded old guy lost the tracking number to! I went to "kinkos" which is now Fedex and was fortunate to be helped by Matt. We had a hard time getting it done because there were so many glitches with my computer and then Fedex receiving the tickets, etc but we finally got it done. Matt was on board the whole time.
