It is a full service center located on Van Nuys Blvd, on the west side of the street just north of Burbank Blvd. *You must enter from the FRONT if you are a customer. My GPS sent me to the back:( Plenty of free street parking in the front. Both Shirley and the young man who work here greeted me as I stepped inside and helped me get my packages off in a timely manner. Been with Federal Mailbox for a few years now and so far they've been great. I had two other PMBs previously that caused me lots of headaches. But I signed up with Federal Mailbox about a year after their move to the current location on Van Nuys Blvd near Burbank Blvd and was very pleased with their service from the very start. And when new management took over in June 2022, things got even better. Isaac Garcia (the new owner) is a really friendly guy and his employees (currently Jack) who are there most of the time are not only friendly but always helpful. Package notifications are prompt and efficient. One problem and minus one star because they advertise---on their website and on their window at the location---that they have notary public service. Holding my mail and won't give it to me , asking for extra money , FRAUD , BE AWERE , they bought the place out of someone I was registered with , they didn't transferred the information between each other and asked me at first place 230$ cash only , outside the place because of the cameras , today I sent my cousin to pick up my mail and they didn't wanted to give it to him , they decided to send my mail to the main USPS office and now saying my mailbox will get closed ,I am still on the payroll and paid for a whole year , not recommended to deal with them read more

Went in just to pick up a package and was very uncomfortable by the fact that the person behind the register and a customer were not wearing any sort of face covering. The man behind the register went to get my package, and when he came back, I asked him to put a mask on, to which I received a definite no on. It's a state law during this pandemic, and I did not feel safe inside this store. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would! I went to mail a package for a friend Express Mail and they told me it would be $109. I was shocked, but whatever, I went for it, because it was my friends daughter who is in the military and well, it was important. So I get back to the office and look online (just to see how the price compared) and see that the service is not available online at the Post Office. Hmmmm ?? So I call the post office and am told it can not be done. Now I am confused so I call Federal Mailbox Center and ask them about it. They take my number and say they will call the post office and look into it. A few hours later I get a call back and am told YES, they can mail it. They do this all the time. But it will take 2 days to get there not overnight... YET..... they charged me $109 for overnight. I say fine whatever.. just get it out. Now..... 2 DAYS LATER..... my friend gets a call and the package is STILL there and he is told it can't be done and how much I spent on it (I never told him!). AND.... it took 2 DAYS for them to get back to me. So now 2 more days have passed. I have to go back there and get the difference of my money back.. and quite frankly I am worried that the package might never arrive! I understand people may make a mistake... but I SPECIFICALLY ADDRESSED THIS ISSUE .. and was told it was okay. Then, instead of calling me they call him. when I asked, I was told they didn't have my number. Really?? You called me back 2 days ago to tell me the package was good to ship out! You had my info from my credit card... WTH?? I don't care how long the line is at the Post Office.. I will just deal with it. This is utterly ridiculous. And more time has passed with this package NOT getting to the destination. I am so livid right now!!! Never again. Not sure what happened to this place. Whoa...I'm looking at the other reviews so far, and it's got a grade of a F in everyone's eyes. I must have came at good times for the 3 times I've used this place. The first two times, it was to have items ships to buyers from our ebay listing. The lady behind the counter was helpful in providing options on what size box to use as well as give free peanuts for me to use to pack the goods. Options were also discussed to see what way I wanted to ship the item, ie, with/out confirmation, signature delivery, etc. Just today, since it was past 1pm on a Saturday to ship out an item that needed to be returned from my own purchase, the lady was again helpful. The guy who has been putting the mail away for 15 years found my mail. After 2 attempts to get my 3 weeks of mail I finally got it the 3rd time. The guy who puts the mail away always made sure I was fine by display of his great customer service. I could see if it was busy and the other man I encountered didn't have time to find it but it was not busy and that is what irratated me the most, especially since I drove from oakland stright to the mail box to pick up all that mail. Thank you guy who puts the mail away for 15 years for finding my mail. 2.10.17 update I went there twice pleading for you to look and all you did was ignore me not going to the back to look like I requested , secondly it was only a month late I have been getting mail here since 2005. I've used this place to send packages locally and long distance and have been satisfied with the packaging and delivery results. Recently I went to USPS to ship an item Express mail to AZ- and it got to the destination not overnight,but three days later! I will use this place for sending packages,especially overnight. I ship packages regularly for a small business, and this is my go to place to drop off packages for UPS, FedEx and DHL. I usually print my labels at home. They are friendly, there is rarely a wait, and they give me a scan receipt for these packages. They will also accept US Postal Service packages, but they cannot offer a scan receipt for those. So I go one block over and wait in line at the post office for these. But for all the other carriers I deal with, I drop off here. It can be a challenge to get out of this parking lot. Both Magnolia and Van Nuys are busy streets. So I just have to allow a little extra time to be patient with the traffic. read more

I finally gave up on Federal Mailbox Center. I should have gone elsewhere long ago. When they moved from the Gelson's location to the current spot next to AutoZone, it was a sign to me. Instead, I stayed with them. I felt bad for how the landlord at the old location may have treated them. But, they continued to lose mail or send it back instead of putting it in my box. And they were never helpful. The guy usually there now always seems to be in a bad mood. Dealing with customers seems to be an imposition on him. At least, that is how his demeanor made me feel. Not quite as aggressively unkind as rude, but a severe lack of customer service skills. I've since moved to the very pleasant Plost Office further along on Magnolia.It's night and day in terms of service and kindness. read more

I live close by from here. Based on my experience by going to UPS, USPS, FedEx, this mailbox center has the cheapest price. It seems like all my packages that I have been sending from this place, all of them were delivered in a well timing and very well priced. I just sent a birthday card to my dad which is in SouthEast Asia, it cost only $1.70 which if I sent it thru USPS, it could have cost me about $4-$6..I can't remember. I am so glad that this place is really close to my place. The service was great, I have to say, they don't look like the nicest people ever but they are pretty straight forward and ask them questions and they'd answer you with a proper manner, so I don't have complain. The place seems a little bit weird at the first time though. I sent a liquid package to North California , cost me about $13 something, I wrapped my package but the guy told me to put it into the box to be safe. He wrapped it for me w/o complaint. I was in the neighborhood and saw the Notary sign so went in: the notary could be there in 10 minutes, and the single employee made a call. I ran next door to grab a coffee, and came back. No, the notary couldn't be there till noon. Ok, I thought, I'll get my nails done, and come back and I did. No the notary was not available. At this time, although I had brought in some envelopes that needed mailing, and they purport to handle mail there as well, the lovely employee now turned surly, and turned her back to me.
