There are plenty of barbecue places around, but most are a waste of time. This one stands out as the best--not just for the food, but for the reasonable prices and consistently high quality. They have the absolute best ribs I've ever had. The vegetables are well-seasoned, the rolls are tasty, and every order comes with Texas toast, rolls and trimmings(onions, pickles etc). For a small charge, you can add soft-serve ice cream, and it's included for free with the kids' meals. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. It's counter service--you order at the line, grab your tray, and seat yourself. They even have a back room available for group meetings. I'm not sure if there's a fee for that, but it's a great option for gatherings.

brisket, ribs and sausage...so good.

Really good food, and unparalleled customer service. Every time I visit Dallas, I try out one or two new BBQ spots. This time I tried Feedstore, and wasn't disappointed. The brisket was good, and the ribs were phenomenal. But the best part was the customer service. After hearing I was from out of town, and seeing I had brisket and ribs on my plate, the guy taking my payment said I should try the sausage, so he gave me a plate of sausage on the house. Great service! Then when I was leaving, I said another thank you, and a young lady asked me if I wanted a tour of the smokers and kitchen! So cool! She, Kamy, turned out to be one of the owners. Had a great tour, met the pit boss, and when I told her how much I enjoyed the ribs, she said they make their own rub, and would I like a sample to take home? Of course I said yes, thinking she'd give me a little sample, but she brought out a big ziplock bag ... probably 2 lbs of rub. Amazing! They made such an impression, I went back for lunch the next day as Monday is the day they have burnt ends ... and their maple-chipotle sauce on them made them amazing! So ... there are a lot of great BBQ joints in Dallas, but they've definitely made me a fan! Thank you Kamy and the LaFaver family!

The cool little place is tucked away between some mega mansions. Really cool house to look at as you drive in. The pulled pork had a good smoky flavor. Adding the spicy bbq sauce, really added to it. The jalapeño beans were really my favorite. Even the Mac was good. It was lacking flavor.

Sliced Brisket Pulled Pork Turkey Fresh Cut Fries

This cafeteria style BBQ joint is DELICIOUS and is the epitome is quintessential Texas barbecue. Meat wise I recommend the smoked turkey, brisket, and pulled pork. For the sides, I mostly munched on the delicious French fries but the potato salad and Mac and cheese looked good too. For dessert we got the blackberry cobbler! The staff were extremely friendly and even offered us a meat sampler plate! I'm not sure that's something you can ask for, since they just offered it to us while we were deciding what to order. But it was awesome to the meats everything! Like I said, this place embodies exactly what you envision when you think Texas BBQ joint. Neon lights, wooden walls, country music. It's perfect. And wasn't too busy for a Friday night!

It's been years since I've eaten here, only because I live over an hour away. The last time it seemed more in the country, now it's all grown up around it. Inside it's What you want to see from a great BBQ place rustic and inviting. Grab a tray place your order, you help yourself to the sides you order and free hot Rolls. I got the pulled pork basket which gets two sides. I got the green beans and dirty rice. The rice was good chick full of brisket. The beans were very good, some of the best I've had. The pulled pork has to be one of the best I've had, the meat was flavorful and moist. They offer a mustard based pork sauce and it was delicious. After the meal you can get self serve ice cream for 50 cents. Do your self a favor go here and try it

I give the Feedstore a five star review. I ate three chopped beef sandwiches. They were so good I ate the wrappers too! Cowboy (my dog)

Burnt ends, added some onion and banana peppers from the complimentary toppings bar.

Solid brisket - could be top 3 in DFW. Every thing you would expect from a great BBQ joint.

Best BBQ sauce hands down! Great chicken and great BBQ beef. Coleslaw is meh, but to be fair, I'm not big on that

Came on a weekend evening and there was a line waiting. Place was busy and bustling, but food was coming out in a timely manner. Live music on the outdoor porch. It was quite hot, but with the way the interior is built, it is a given the ventilation isn't too well - old and rustic. Banana pudding was yummy, however, there was a brunette piece of hair lodged in it. Sanitation overall was still clean; hair tied up, gloves used, etc so I'm sure it was an honest mistake. However, it ruined my dessert appetite so -1 star. Brisket was absolutely delicious and well-seasoned. You know how the meat sometimes looks gray? Not here. It was heavenly and not crazy fatty. They didn't skimp on the meat to bread portion either. $17 for the sandwich, fantastic price. You will be seeing me again! Thank god for Texas BBQ.

They slice it and put it on a plate. I ordered some brisket, a slice of turkey, and a rib. It is weighed and a sticker is put on your tray. You walk inside and can choose cold sides. Then there's a warmer where I chose Mac and cheese. Also as I walked in I was asked if I wanted fries or onion rings. I chose the rings and was given a number to keep on my tray so they could bring them out to me when they were ready. Then you pay. They also serve soda and alcoholic beverages but you get them at the bar. There is a place to get bbq sauce mild or spicy and if you're eating g in you can get pinto beans as well Everything we ate was delicious. Would definitely return, so many other items to try!!

OMG, this place is legit! I arrived at 5 PM on a Monday and it was already beginning to get busy…read more The process is that you get in line and then when you get up to the Carver order your meats, as much or as little as you want; after you're done ordering they weigh the meat - prices are per pound (currently $26/lb). Then head inside to collect your sides, of which there are many. Then complete your purchase with the cashier at the end of the line. Tonight I tried a little of everything: the brisket - full of smoky flavor and super tender, yet it tended to crumble rather than being able to slice it; the pulled pork - juicy and tender; the jalapeño cheddar sausage - full of flavor and zip, IMO the star of the show; the turkey - dust-dry and flavorless. This one was a disappointment, however, when he was assembly my order I noticed that the Carver did locate a butt end in which he sliced the rest of the meat from. I'm sure the fresh off the smoker, huge breast that just got put down on the warmer would've been just fine in juicy flavor. They should have found some other use for that dry butt end of turkey instead of serving it to me because I took only one bite and threw the rest away. For sides, I had the jalapeño sweet corn casserole (outstanding!). Coleslaw (fresh) and complimentary pinto beans. These beans were excellent and they are cooked with what I'm assuming are the leftover scraps of meat; what a flavorful side item and they are free! I love their regular sauce, didn't care for the flavor their spicy sauce. Sauces are available on a warmer which further adds to the flavor. I did get a piece of whiskey pie to -go. Their pie slices are small, which was fortunate, in this case, because I didn't find it to be very good. Overall, fantastic food, young servers and staff were respectful and helpful. Nice air-conditioned, indoor dining as well as outdoor dining tables.

The staff was welcoming, and they let me sample the jalapeno macaroni and cheese, which I loved! I'm not too fond of jalapenos, and I have a low tolerance for spicy food. However, the jalapenos had a minimal spicy kick. I ordered the rib plate with my choice of side, which I chose the jalapenos macaroni and cheese, and a fountain drink for approximately 18.00. The ribs were okay, but they grew on me with each bite, and I liked the BBQ sauce. The highlight of my meal was the jalapenos macaroni and cheese! The restaurant has dine-in tables. However, as time goes on service and customer care seems to be declining. I'm in my mid 60s and have white hair, but the cashiers never offered the senior citizen discount unless you ask for it. I had good Birria tacos one time. The next time I went, they dipped them in consume, but didn't sear them off on the flat top so they were crispy so I ended up eating mush. That was my last review and I still gave him three stars for that mediocre attempt at a taco. I've been going to 407 BBQ for many years and I'm well aware of his sign that says if you don't specify, you get what you get no returns lean or fatty. Well I did specify, but the hostess didn't write it down on my order. OK you know what I am disappointed as all hell but that's my mistake since I didn't look at the receipt. Fine, but if you look at the receipt where I ordered a pound of brisket to go that clearly says lean, and it's a hell of a lot closer to fatty than lean. Look at my pictures below. That will tell you everything you need. My wife ordered the burger, which is normally very good and one of the more difficult choices that I have to make in life barbecue or burger. But this time it seems as though they put garlic salt on the burger or some sort of garlic flavoring which overpowers their burger we've never had to specify no garlic before, but maybe something has changed that I'm not aware of. Maybe he felt they needed to be more mainstream? Who knows. With the proliferation of really stellar barbecue now available around DFW I can no longer recommend 407. Maybe he's got too many young kids maybe I'm not aware and he sold out. Maybe he's gone corporate. I'm not sure what's going on. Maybe there's something going on in his life I'm not aware of and he's preoccupied with that. But I think I'm done with 407. He could've easily responded to my yelp review on the mediocre taco disaster, but he didn't. He didn't attempt to make it right. I published my receipt and he can go back in his system and see who I am. He's got my full name and phone number, but I doubt he'll contact me. It's a shame when he was working out of a small wooden shack, there seemed to be a lot more care about Customer Service and Support. There's always my standby Angelo's downtown Fort Worth, North Texas smoke out near Decatur, which is actually closer to me than 407 but has limited hours. Hutchins in Trophy Club and Daynes's barbecue in Aledo. I wish Brian and the 407 crew all the best. Hopefully they get things back
