This is a great place for a massage. I didn't really appreciate it as much as i do now. I've been around town to a few others and now i wot go anywhere else. It's a good balance of price/quality and experience. There are 3 types of massage places in our area: 1. There are the oriental places: although they are cheap they are inexperienced, creepy and rude even sometimes. I had a foot massage once and i couldn't run for 5 days after that. I had a massage and i was sour for 3 days. 2. There are the expensive "red door" places. These are expensive and most of the time trying to push products on you. 9 of 10 you will not even get a great massage. 3. Then there is Feel Well. It's the best of all worlds. read more

Just had the most amazing massage from Joey. I have a lot of chronic upper back, shoulder and neck pain and he hit all the spots that needed attention. Moreover, he had the exact amount of pressure I needed for the full duration of my appointment. This is a no frills spa (i.e., no hot tubs, no steam room or sauna). I was distressed that almost no one was masked here. I am immunosuppressed, and get medical massage. Even vaccinated people can still get Covid and unknowingly pass it to other clients. the Massage was fine, but I was upset that this health care practice isn't more cautious with people in vulnerable populations. read more

Welp, I rarely write reviews, but I do so when I think my experience is unbiased and worth reporting. I had an apt for a 1 hour massage with Sherwin which I arrived about 5 min early for (this was my first time trying this place out). Upon arrival I was asked to pay for the massage before the service was given (which I thought was a little odd-- I've never had to pay for anything before I received it, and also, they were asking for tip so how could I give a relevant tip without knowing how the service was?) Anyway it was fine, the girl at the front then said I could pay after without any hassle. I had to wait only about 5-10 by the time I was brought into the massage room-- again, no problem by me. The massage itself was pleasant, although not excellent. I felt like the massage was kind of short, but just thought my time was off. After a slow awakening, getting dressed, having a 5 min phone call with my sister while still in the massage room and getting to pay, and gave a 25% tip, I then looked at the time and found to see that I was leaving about 5 minutes earlier than a full hour had passed since the time I arrived (which means I was gipped approximately 10-15 min from my massage). I felt like it was pointless to complain at that point, but I later realIzed it was important to mention given the great reviews. I usually get massages at Asian foot spas which are decent and reasonably priced, but I thought I'd "treat myself" given the stress and discomfort I have been recently under. Needless to say, I quickly regretted my decision and I'd recommend anyone to avoid this place. I consider myself a very easy going individual and I certainly left feeling very taken advantage of with a very bad taste in my mouth. No good FeelWell, I FeelLousy. read more

I received a gift certificate for Christmas nine years ago for three messages. It has an expiration date of 12-12-10. I used it once on 10-6-11. After a herniated disc I haven't felt comfortable enough to get a message until recently. I stopped in to inquire if it could still be used (current Gift Certificate offers from Feel Well never expire). A photo was taken, I was told it would be sent to the boss and I would get a phone call reply. A week later no reply. I sent an email which was promptly returned telling me the gift certificate could not be honored. I'm disappointed in their decision and lack of initial communication. With two messages left, I would have been happy with one, or possibly a discount on my next visit. My experiences there in the past had been good, if not great. Good business practice would suggest a compromise to keep a customer. Now I will go elsewhere and suggest others do the same. Bad decision Feel Well. read more

Even though feel well is really far from where I live, I decided to book a few services here for my birthday. I've been here multiple times while visiting my family and the services have always been amazing. I took the day off of work and decided to come out to Long Island to go to feel well, and then see my family afterwards. Less than an hour before my appointment, however, I get an email stating that my appointment is cancelled due to the massage therapist calling out. I was already on the train and paid for my ticket. The email did offer some alternative times and services, but I booked this appointment weeks in advance, and chose that time so I could have an early dinner with my family before heading back into the city since I had work the next day. As soon as I got the email I decided to get off the train and turn back around, the trip didn't seem worth it to me at that point, especially with the snow, and I'd rather have my family meet me in Brooklyn for dinner instead. I called as requested in the email to let them know to cancel my other service as well. The receptionist kept offering me a $10 credit to rebook and while she was nice did not understand that after this experience, I will never rebook at feel well. Also, $10? the train ticket I wasted on my way there cost more. I also normally work 50 hour weeks and only had the day off because, again, it was my birthday. The services are great and priced well, but I wouldn't book here if your appointment time matters to you at all. read more

The only reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 is that it is a no thrills massage place. They turned an old house into a massge place making the various rooms massage rooms. Since it is no frills, you miss the mirror things like a completely dark room, or a designated quiet area or a pre massage consultation. For those loved being catered to and weighed on hand and foot, I wouldn't recommend this place. (Although those places are great. ) if you're just looking for a great massage for a great price this is it. Im very rarely impressed by my masseuse and so far I'm two for two here with great massages. Joe R was a good send when I was pregnant with the maternity massage. My only complaint is the staff can sometimes be loud. Considering the rooms aren't sound proof and everything is close together, you'd think the girls up front and employees walking around would use soft voices and not yell across the room to each other. Other than that, I love this place. And I guarantee you won't find another great massage (or even a bsd massage) for so cheap. Definitely worth checking out. read more

We were greeted with a warm welcome and ushered into a comforting, clean and large waiting room. At our appointment time we were greeted by our masseuses and directed upstairs. The couples massage room was big, had a private bathroom and different ares to sit and store your belongings. We both received excellent massages and will definitely be going back. Best medical massage I have ever had! I had intense upper back and neck pain for about a month, I couldn't sleep well or turn my head left. I went to a chiropractor and it only temporarily fixed the issue. I found Feel Well on Google and it was the best thing that could have happened. It was the absolute best medical massage I have ever had, my neck is better after only one session and I will be back to work the rest out. Joe was so knowledgable and helpful, he massaged muscles that I didnt even know would have had a part in the issue, and gave me tips on what I do that makes it all worse. My experience at Feel Well was so so. I started with a milk n honey body scrub which was nice but very sticky . The women then had me lay in the sticky scrub while she gave me a facial. Towards the end of the facial she had me go to the shower to get off the scrub. As she is getting the shower ready for me she informs me that the water will be luke warm. Luke warm not at all it was freezing. The water would not get warm. It really ruined the whole relaxing experience for me. I was then cold while she finished the facial. I was also upset b/c after the facial she never went over my skin . On a good note my massage was wonderful. Megan did an outstanding job. Had an incredible Pregnancy massage with Jean when I was 36 weeks. Loved it so much. Sweet therapist, really nice. Parking was a little challenging as the spa is a converted house right on Wantagh Avenue next to St. Francis. For 13 years I have been going to Feel Well for massages. When I walk in I'm always greeted warmly. The owner and everyone else are very friendly. There is a very large waiting area with couches to relax in while waiting for my appointment. Joey is the massage therapist that I have been using for all these years and I would guess that I have received over 100 messages from him over the course of all the years. I always walk out feeling much better and standing a little taller! He is amazing! Words cannot describe how much he has helped my body to function when it was in great pain and how he has put me back together again . He is able to provide the type of massage in terms of strength that you request. For me I need a very strong massage to break up the knots in my back and he always does an excellent job releasing the tension that I carry in my back. I know that Joey and the other massage therapist there have a following of clients. You get excellent value for your dollar of having an experienced and knowledgeable massage therapist give you a quality massage experience at a very affordable price. Feel well offers excellent value for the service that they provide and I never go elsewhere on the Island. They are always my go to place to relax and feel better.
