I've been to a show here twice and loved each experience. I recently got to try two dishes (sharing with my husband) - the filet and the Black Sea bass. The steak was my favorite and it was absolutely delicious. Tender meat accompanied by a bright raspberry sauce, comforting potatoes, and fresh broccolini. Our server offered to butterfly the steak so we could each get the cook temp we preferred- what a wonderful suggestion! My husband enjoyed both dishes, but I preferred the steak. The lentil base had great flavors and would be a good choice for people that like soft textures. The flourless chocolate cake was delightful too. I was recently here for a women's event. Parking was easy to get into without having to be "outside" and cold. The area is dark with an intimate feel. Bar - bartenders were very friendly and drinks were tasty. Food - it was a sushi spread with a few desserts. Staff were not familiar with gluten free, which was a bit surprising with an upscale spot. Sushi and dessert eaten were delightful though. Sound/setup - you could hear presenters from any area with no problem. Con - since this was for an event, there was quite a bit of standing around for networking at the start of the event. The area is not conducive to this type of interaction. read more

It's a beautiful room, for starters. But make no mistake, you're paying for that beauty. This place has a spend minimum of $25, which is honestly more than a little obnoxious. That said, I have to admit that both times I've dined here I was pleased with my meal. So yes, you're being forced to eat here. But it's not a bad meal at all. So if you see an act you're interested in seeing on the calendar and you can afford it, it's worth a visit. read more

We had such a fun time at the Drag Me to Brunch celebrating a friend's birthday. The performers were amazing. The food was also good. When you purchase tickets, there is a disclaimer that each guest must spend a minimum of $25 on food/drink. Ordered the Bellini and Mimosa to start off our morning and waiting for the Broadway sing-along show that is coming up soon. Can't wait to try the breakfast hash and quiche. My friend and I booked tickets to a burlesque show at Feinstein's during a brunch time slot. We were seated quickly in pre-selected assigned seats and given a menu that ranged from quiche to burgers with more alcohol options than food. Not that I am complaining. I got the quiche, my friend got the burger. We were both pleased. The portions were large and the price was reasonable. The show was a lot of fun and a great value. There was a $25 minimum spend per person, but we made that easily with one food item and one drink each. I would certainly consider going to another Feinstein's show. As for parking, they do have ballet, however, I was able to find street parking in the complex of shops no more than a three minute walk away. read more

After fighting Carmel traffic for 1-1/2 hours, we finally made it to Feinstien's. We were frazzled and concerned that we had not gotten there too late to have dinner. The waitstaff was so kind and understood the stress of getting there. She assured us there was plenty of time and even if there wasn't she could get us something to eat. She asked to get our drink orders first so we could relax. I had a craft cocktail off of the menu, it was wonderful. We both ordered hamburgers, tasty. We were concerned with some of the toppings, but it turns out they were truly delicious. We also ordered the chocolate, flour free cake and coffee. Also, very yummy. Our wait staff was right on it, asking, when necessary, very professional and very understanding of the crowd in general. The atmosphere at Feinstein's is always special. I love the feel of a small dinner club, and they really pull it off. The shows we have seen there have all be sell out. This one was Indiana Christmas with the The Ahlwrdts. A Wonderful performance in another review. Will we go back, yes, but Feinstein's, hotel Carmichael and the city of Carmel need to do something about parking. This was a perfect storm because of the Christmas Market and Jane Lynch preforming but it is this way regardless. Below the hotel is mostly resident parking and there is a small lot for the hotel, I believe filled with employee cars. On top, same way. My husband says never again, but I think he can be swayed, he hates the parking situation so much! read more

A group of 4 of us attended the 10:45 pm New Years Eve Elton John tribute show. The show started 25 minutes late due to technical difficulties. We understand things happen and waited patiently. Once the show began it was a good performance with lots of audience participation. Because the show started 25 minutes late we expected the show to last 25 minutes longer. Needless to say we were surprised and disappointed when it ended at the scheduled time. Tickets for the shows at Feinsteins are on the very high side of value received anyway and having paid $125 each we expected the full show. I'm not saying we won't go back but we'll definitely have second thoughts and this episode has tarnished Feinsteins reputation with us. read more

I'm definitely a fan of Feinsteins. It's situated on the lower level of the Hotel Carmichael, a recently-built, upscale, boutique hotel at City Center in Carmel. Food: I found their food offerings to be great, especially the drinks. I had one of the best Gin & Tonics of all time here. Service: During both visits, we've had fantastic servers. They do seem to be stretched a little thin, especially during sell-out events. Ambiance: A modern cabaret inside a high-end hotel such as this is something people either "get" or they don't get. This area on the Monon seems to be very polarizing to the local community, with longtime residents complaining about all the 'irresponsible' construction, the loss of all the previously wasted space along this section of the Monon, and the high taxes to pay for it all. I'm squarely within the camp that thinks this place is totally cool. Each person must decide for themselves, I suppose. My only criticism would be the use of Eventbrite for ticketing. My ticket price undoubtedly included a cost associated with the administrative overhead of that Eventbrite service, and yet, each time I've come here for a show, the hostess simply asked for my name, and then matched my last name to her seating chart, and seated us. I lose money unnecessarily, every time that happens here. If you're not going to use the bloated middleman ticketing service, then don't use it... Anyway, I highly recommend this place. read more

We came for the Jazz Brunch and wow what a great time. First off the entertainment was amazing. Sellers the lead singer was nothing short of wonderful. So many good songs and the band was great too. The food was good. I had the burger and it was great. The atmosphere was elegant and intimate. This place could be a great speakeasy in a snap. We went to the jazz brunch to see Cathy Morris. The show itself was great. Cathy always does a great job - she has such energy and enthusiasm. The band was also very good. The inside is very nice- every table has a number as does the seating at the bar. It probably seats about a hundred people in total. I think you can easily see the show from anywhere unless you are sitting at the bar as your back is to the show. We started with bloody Mary's-after all it was a Sunday brunch. The drink was good although I would have preferred a little more spice in mine but my husband thought his was great. I ordered the hash with scrambled eggs on top. It was very good although the potatoes could have been a bit crisper. I would order it again though. For a follow up my husband ordered the concerto which is gin,pomegranate juice and lime simple syrup. I tasted it and it was so good I also ordered one. Service was excellent. All in all a good time. We will definitely be returning for another fun jazz brunch. read more

This review is actually for the holiday pop up bar , Prancer's Parlor, which unfortunately I was very disappointed with. I purchased tickets for a time slot and when we arrived there was no table available for us so we had to wait in Vivante. Not a huge deal, but slightly annoying. We ordered food while we waited. which we were able to bring over to PP bar, but I was extremely disappointed in the decor and overall experience. We ordered the rosemary and black pepper popcorn which came out with no rosemary or black pepper, so we had to make the employee aware of this and my warm drink came out room temp, bordering cold. But even aside from that, other than the holiday drink menu, the snacks nor decor screamed holiday pop up. It felt like very little effort was given to this pop up, which is disappointing bc with the small space, good decor could have gone a long way with making the it feel cozy and festive. There was no continuity in anything and I could have skipped this one all together. read more

I do love the venue itself. It's a smaller sized dinner theater with a bit of a speakeasy ambiance to it. I've been fortunate enough to attend a few shows here, sitting in various areas. There is really no "bad" seat. The bar seats are a bit inconvenient though since they are facing away from the stage and towards the bar itself. As long as you don't mind turning around, you should be good. Added bonus is that a lot of performers enter through doors on either side of the bar, so you get to see them before they even make it to the stage and that makes up for it in my book. I am not really sure what the exact purchase minimum is in here. Some tickets said 2 item minimum, others stated $25 minimum. As drinks and food are on the pricey side, you will not have any problem reaching either requirement. The drinks are pretty good but very pricey. The food, well I have had better, especially for that price. I would rate it as average. There is a nice offering of interesting menu items, but the execution just isn't quite there. Still I really love this venue. The ambiance, the variety of shows, the staff... all worth it. Great for date nights, but also for a night out on the town with your friends. read more

An opportunity to check out Feinsteins fell in my lap via invitation from a friend with an extra ticket to the Anthony Nunziata show. We were in the "cheap seats" at the bar but the venue is small enough that visibility was still excellent and the performer came out through the bar area so that was especially nice. The show was great, and I liked hearing the Italian classics. The atmosphere is intimate and had a nice dinner theater feel. Service at the bar was as good as it could be considering the one bartender was prepping all of the drinks and taking care of food orders for those of us seated at the bar. He was quite a multi-tasker. I had a filthy martini which was good but not worth a second at the cost. My butternut bisque was interesting but in hindsight not something I'd spend another $8/cup on. I enjoyed my scallops and was too full for the dessert I was eyeing before dinner. The food had some interesting flavor pairings and was good but I had some "eh" moments; the risotto was a bit smooshier than I like and both the bisque and risotto were butternut squash based but both didn't have much of the squash flavor I love or it was hidden with the other flavors in the dishes. I had a good time at Feinstein's and would like to see another show but would likely eat dinner elsewhere first and have drinks and dessert there next time. read more

Some of the worst food I've eaten n the Carmel, IN area. The potatoes that came with my meal were so greasy I couldn't eat them and they were swimming in grease on the plate. The chicken salad sandwich had 3 chucks (not large) of chicken on it and there was so much mayo a it was like eating a mayo sandwich. A friend ordered a Bloody Mary and the celery stalk he pulled out of the glass had DIRT all over the end of it! Absolutely disgusting! Service was slow. I went here during the Christmas market. They were not busy and no reservation was needed. There were three of us in a pretty empty restaurant. We got several appetizers to share including salad, soup, frites, and more. My thoughts, just mediocre in every way. Our server was nice, but slow. My water glass was empty 3x and I had to ask for more. Frites were under seasoned and bland. We weren't give utensils and had to ask for them. It was service you would expect from Applebees, not fine French cuisine in a fancy hotel. I would be willing to try again in case it was just an off night. read more

Let's talk about a welcoming environment for all to attend! We visited Feinsteins for their 2nd Drag Me to Brunch show ever! I knew I would write a review since this is the 2nd location in Carmel to host drag besides Carmel Pride and the private event at Peace Water Winery. Pat Yo Weave hosts, sings, and entertains all the guests, bringing laughs, strong performances by Anna Crusis, MIssMJBanks (sp), etc. Tickets are sold on Eventbrite and are $15-$20- for drag - is on the high end but worth every penny to have more drag represented properly! Ordered the crab cake Benedict which was filling and came with potatoes- I couldn't finish it. Had a trio of different cocktails from Mimosas, Aeperol spritzers, etc. The Queens took time to take pictures and chat w us afterwards, and I've already purchased 4 tables for their November show! read more

Pat Your Weave Drag Brunch was awesome. Sausage and Gravy Pizza was better than I planned it to be. I crave that pizza daily. Biscuits and gravy meal was also scrumptious. We continue to really enjoy this hotel and had the chance to catch a show at this dinner theater. The booths are fairly tight so we bought extra tickets to enjoy the space. The tables and bar seats are a little better spacing. We arrived early and checked out the room as doors open up to 2hrs in advance of concert start. I asked the bar if they had club soda and was surprisingly told my server at my seat would help me. The acoustics and intimate venue was amazing for the show we caught. Such a beautiful and intimate venue. We saw Franc D' Ambrosio and absolutely loved his performance. Service was good. Drinks and food were very fair. Next time I go back, I would spend $25 on drinks only....probably order a bottle of wine. 2 of our drinks were made terribly and the "beverage manager" was quite sure they were correct and did nothing. I thought his response was pretty nasty. Feinsteins must not pay well for their service people. The venue is top tier but some of their staff is third or fourth tier. I ordered the Flatbread and it was not very good. Everyone else at my table ordered an entree and was very fair. Seems they need a new chef in the most beautiful place in Carmel. read more

I made a reservation to see an artist perform on New Year's Eve, I bought the $100 per seat tickets through the artist's website with no mention of additional future charges. Before the show we had dinner and drinks at the Hotel Carmichael's restaurant next to Feinstein's. We sat down a very short time before the show. To my surprise the server informed me that there is a $25 minimum per person cover charge. The server stated the $25 fee was presented in the Feinstein's website which I NEVER used. This server also did not give us time to order any drinks nor desserts to make up for this $25. This was my first time at that venue and unfortunately, it is going to be my last. read more

Lovely venue in beautiful Hotel Carmichael, very attentive service (I left a 25% tip), good entertainment. But the food and wine are simply awful. I got the crudites platter for $18 which is just some carrots and celery and a little hummus. And the Cabernet at $14 per glass is nearly undrinkable. There is a $25 minimum per person here - my advice is to go to Vivante for dinner, the very nice French restaurant right outside Feinsteins, and use your minimum on a cocktail and dessert. read more

The braised short ribs were salty, the pulled pork was overcooked, and the apple crumble cheesecake had to much cinnamon and the cut up apples would have been better sautéed!!
