I'm a REALLY tolerant person and never write negative reviews. I understand that people have bad days and no one is perfect. However, I have to say I am more than disappointed with the staff at the Feisty Pint. Everyone from the host to the wait staff, up to and including the owner! We had several folks in town for a big dog event throughout the week. We planned an event ender meal out with the group. Us being the locals, we were depended on to choose the venue. We chose the Feisty Pint as we had been there several months prior for a couple drinks and really liked the place and staff. Called ahead to see if they could accommodate 10 to 12 people around 9 pm. Whoever I spoke to said sure, no problem. Well...the problem started when a couple of us showed up about an hour early. The host said since all our party wasn't there yet and we were early, he could only seat us at a table for 6 since it was the dinner rush. Thought it a little odd as 8pm seems a bit late for the dinner rush. Especially looking around seeing the place only at about half capacity. By about 8:45 the balance of our party of 10 showed up. When we asked to be moved to a larger table or move some tables together, the answer was no and the best they could do is to add 4 more chairs and crowd us all elbow to elbow at the same table. I looked around and the place had fewer customers than when we came in at 8! When I said I didn't understand why we couldn't just move some tables together (as there were several empty) the owner said that if a big party all orders at once, it would overwhelm the kitchen staff. ???! I scratched my head and said that didn't make any sense because it didn't change the number in our party ordering, it just gave us more room. Apparently that didn't matter to them. Trying to explain simple math was not getting us anywhere, and you could tell the staff at this point was very put off by our request. We contemplated just leaving to go elsewhere but since it was so late we decided to order dinner. Once the waitress took our order and asked what one of us wanted as a "side" with their dinner. Our party member said "a table". The waitress did not see the humor in that comment and exclaimed that the table issue was not her deal and out of her control. Once our meals came, the waitress asked if there was anything else she could bring. We asked for additional silverware since the table was originally only set for six. She agreed and started to walk off when another in our party asked for more napkins also. The waitress snapped back with an "I know!" And kept walking. Obviously that was unwarranted and unprofessional. Upon her return with the requested items she seemed much more pleasant and friendly. Not sure if she realized herself that her actions were poor or if she started thinking about her tip from a group of 10. Fortunately, the food was outstanding! My complements to the "overwhelmed" kitchen staff. This is the only reason I give them a 1 star rating. If it wasn't for everyone thoroughly enjoying the food (and an option for 0 stars available) the rating would have been less! We have lived in this area over 45 years and pride ourselves with bringing out of town guests to great restaurants and friendly places. You can imagine how embarrassing it was when our party was so under impressed, asking "Is everywhere in Grand Junction like this? As a professional in a customer service oriented job myself, I couldn't imagine my business sustaining very long with this type of behavior. My genuine hope is that the owner and staff reevaluate how customer service is supposed to work and make some major changes. This place could be epic, especially because of the high-quality food, atmosphere and price point. If they don't take these negative reviews seriously and apply change, I don't see them staying in business long. read more

Just had dinner at the Feisty Pint and it was delicious. The service was great and the food even better. The queso in the chips and queso was outstanding, some of the best we've had. I had the steak salad and my husband had the Teriyaki burger and both were very good. Definitely recommend the Feisty Pint and would go again. Great job! read more

Great burgers and fries. Loved the Monument burger with candied bacon and fried onions. Of the tap rooms and bar fare we tried while in Grand Junction this place was by far the best food. They have a self service tap bar where you can try local beers, but you can also order regular drafts and bottles. read more

Service was good but the burgers were extremely dry and the self serve beer system is flawed. I'm not paying an amount up front to 'use the balance next time' if I don't use it all. Lame attempt to get people to come back. Why can't they just let me pay on one tab at the end like other similar establishments? The ambiance is ruined by cheap tables with cafe style setup. Horrible service! The "temporary" manager did NOT do a good job of being in charge. She was not helpful and really quite demeanoring. Food was NOT good! Over cooked-tough burger, cold French fries. Just ok. Not impressed with the serve yourself gimmick. I love good beer and have never had to pay to sample a beer to make sure it's the one I want to drink. We spent $20 on a "card". Only to sample 3 beers and then didn't even get 3 full pints. Manager seemed annoyed or already burnt out when we had questions about the process. We visited because of the DDD visit, but can't say this place was outstanding in any way. The burger was just OK, and the Roadkill, albeit huge, wasn't anything to write home about. We're becoming increasingly disillusioned with DDD spots - too often they're just mediocre bar food. :-( read more

I don't usually do Yelp reviews but this is a new place and had only one previous review that wasn't too favorable, so I feel I need to counter. We just left on a busy Friday night and had a great dinner and drinks. The waitress seemed genuinely interested and attentive, the serve-your-own beer was a new concept to me (a pre-paid card and you pay by the ounce)- allows you to try different beers before you commit and the selection is apparently rotating with all different Colorado beers. My hubby ordered a martini and it was the right ratio of olive juice to vodka, and a decent pour size. We ate the prime rib sandwich with au jus and a veggie burger. Both were not super gourmet, but they were tasty and much better than your typical bar food. The sweet potato fries were perfectly done. We will definitely go back! read more

Just here to review the spicy burger challenge, which I failed somewhat miserably. I like spicy food so thought I might have a chance but was overwhelmed after 5 big bites. I Managed a couple more bites with a fork but then it all hit at once and my everything was on fire. The tots with the devil dusting were no help from the heat.. Tapped out within 10 minutes. The Patties on the burger are easily a 1/2 pound each after cooking so the sheer volume is no joke. I had no illusions that the challenge was possible for me after about 5 minutes. Ow. Just order something you like instead, unless you like a lot of pain. read more

Awesome! Finishing up Fall Break with the brats from Castle Rock. Cruising home from Las Vegas after The ABQ and Tucson. We stopped in GJ for the night. The hotel kid suggested another spot, but Fiesty felt like the right place. Great selection of draft beer to help forget the 1,500+ miles we've put on the truck so far during this trip. The food is better than the beer. Happy Hour deals on a Saturday and everything was really good. The only critique, less sauce and frill on the street tacos. Cheese Curds (The real deal, not super thick pieces of fried funk) Fried Florets Jalapeño Poppers Prime Dip Street Tacos Our server was great and the manager stopped over twice to make sure we were doing well. We arrived around 5pm and there was about 4 guys at the bar and two other tables in the dining room. We left around 6:30pm and the place was packed. I've been trying to convince the old lady we need to move to the Western Slope and The Fiesty Pint just helped me out! You can't do any better driving through some random town. Meant to post this review earlier but forgot . We went in a couple of weekends ago and let me say how impressed I was ! There was only 2 servers working a Friday night packed restaurant and they did a phenomenal job! Food all came out perfect and the drinks were very good . The bartender was slow. She didn't clean up the bar after she removed our food and drinks. She left empty drinks sitting, I believe in an effort to do less dishes The "dude" behind the bar(the owner) ignored people unless they were single men and refused to greet or acknowledge anyone not a "regular". He seemed irritated that some food fell off the plate and he had to pick up a rag and spray to wipe the bar. Maybe he needs to tell his employees to do their job and not look at the customer like they are vermon for one tiny piece of food falling off a plate. Where exactly should I put? My empty drink glasses so you aren't so angry? By the way wouldn't he have to wipe things off due to covid anyway. Had a good experience until the end when "said dude" was rude! WILL NOT BE BACK. You become a regular by being treated nicely and wanting to return. Plenty of other bars within walking distance, more worthy of my money. Stopped here before a concert at the Avalon theatre for an appetizer and a cocktail. Although the cocktail prices were decent, the cocktail I had (a special drink they had posted on the board) tasted like watered down booze and water down juices. Really, it tasted like dishwater. Good thing it was small. We ordered nachos. They were barely lukewarm, yuk. We have tried Feisty Pint 3 times now, but this past time will be our last. Just not worth it. read more

The Feisty Pint was a late addition to our trip and I am sure glad we did! The staff was awesome, superb cocktails and beers, and to top that, l our meal was excellent! This is not your usual bar food! Next time we will try beer sampling that you can pour yourself and just charged per ounce! No reason not to try them all! Cool that there are lot of Colorado beers offered. Also heard the mules are amazing too. Definitely recommend and we will definitely be back! read more
