Probably the best steak I have ever had in New York! Loved the ambiance and the atmosphere. Our server was Carlotta and she was the best taking care of us! So knowledgeable about the food menu and how to pair each wine to different courses. Her descriptions were mouthwatering and extremely accurate. So she suggested we started with a few appetizers (oh my god, the asparagus one!) so good. Arancini were good and well fried. Then the best steak arrived - perfectly cooked. I like my meat medium rare and this was perfect. We got the Tortino hazelnut dessert which I highly recommend! Prices are a bit on the higher end but it's fairly priced for being in the UES. We celebrated my sister's baby shower here, and it was lovely! The place was absolutely perfect. We were able to decorate it for the party (we had plenty of time for this). The room was very clean and comfortable for a group of 25 people, including small children. I liked that it had a separate entrance, so people were able to enter directly from the street. It also had a bathroom, so no one had to leave and go into the restaurant itself. The staff was amazing! They were very nice and professional. They brought out the food quickly and arranged it in such a way that people had easy access to it. They set up everything for the lunch portion and for the dessert part. They were absolutely amazing about it. Everything that was left over, they packed it up for us. The food was scrumptious. We had bruschetta, cold cuts, cheeses, and arancini for appetizers. The arancini were divine! The chicken and the pasta were so good! I am currently dreaming about that pasta. It was perfectly made, with lots of sauce. We brought our own cake, but they included cookies and ice cream, and they were so good! I would definitely like to come here for regular meal. read more

Recent visit had slow, poor service. Food had to be returned-- undercooked and inedible. We had a 7:30 reservation and at 9:30 we were told that we had been at the restaurant for 2 hours and the next reservation had arrived and we needed to leave. We were a group of 4--- spent about $200! We will NEVER return. read more

What a bad experience. Aside from the fact that this place is filled with the most pretentious and bougey people, the service and food were awful. We both got the salmon salad that had maybe two bites of salmon and three pieces of lettuce . ($23!!!!!) The salad was missing ingredients and when we asked the waitress she said let me "double check". We sat there for 10-15 more minutes and no waitress in sight . At this point we didn't even want our food anymore. We asked for the manager who was very apologetic and comped our bill and that is the only reason why I'm giving this place two stars. Our favorite restaurant. We've been to Felice 83 several times and also get takeout and every time is a slam dunk. Our favorites are the bolognese and the chicken Milanese. The cocktails are great (my fiancé loves the Anita), the wine too. Also recommend the calamari and wait to decide what you're ordering until you hear the specials! Nice place to sit outside and have a yummy brunch. Two of us had the french toast, one a salad. The french toast was exactly how it was on the menu, with chocolate and creme, and light as a feather. This was probably the best french toast I've ever had. Hubbys salad was flavorful and delicious. The mimosas were good except a little on the small side. Hostess and servers were exceptionally friendly and let us happily sit at our table after we had finished our meal. Very nice brunch place, I would certainly return. read more

My wife and I had dinner at this quaint local spot in the UES. My wife has certain allergies and we were asking the bartender about what was in the chicken Paillard. A couple sitting next to us--- friends of the manager/owner who knows? Blirted out to my wife "maybe you shouldn't eat here". Seriously? No offense I think she was Italian and sitting with her was her quiet unassuming husband. I let the male floor manager know how I felt about their customers and their manager. She is repulsive and should do more in-training on allergic eosinophilic esophagitis. I will call department of health tomorrow. To be continued. read more

For the past two years, my office has held our holiday party at Felice 83. I didn't make it to last year's party, but I heard rave reviews regarding the food and service. Upon attending this year's party, I can definitely say the raves from last year held up, because we had a wonderful three hours at Felice 83! We were set up in the private side room; I suppose my singular complaint was that there is a separate door to the private room...that patrons entered then looked around, confused at our party. Ha! A sign on the door indicating to use the main door would have been great. But! Anyways! The room is ample in size, with roughly 30-ish of us fitting more than comfortably. There were tables full of delicious appetizers, such as cheese, meats, and rice balls. We were served adorable personal plates of sliders and french fries. For dessert, bowls of luscious of tiramisu were brought out for us to dig into. I have to mention that they were very accommodating to one of of my co-workers that only eats plant-based. They provided her with her own french fries AND a full-sized fully-loaded salad with vinaigrette! I appreciate their flexibility and willingness to accommodate all customers, even at a private party such as ours. I look forward to returning next year for another party! I have a feeling my department is pretty sold on this spot, absolutely! Perhaps, one day, I'll be able to swing through for a meal or drink apart from our annual holiday shindig! read more

Felice is a little Italian restaurant in my neighborhood on the Upper East Side. Their dinner is wonderful. Their crostone are delicious, you must get the Crostone Burrata Filante when you go. Combine the great food with the extremely personable staff--like our new friend Michella--and you have a wonderful go-to restaurant. Let's just say that dinner was so delicious that when my husband and I were out exploring our neighborhood for brunch last weekend, at the thought of Felice, we doubled back and made a b-line directly for it! Brunch was fantastic! The food was truly unique. I loved it! My poached egg dish was incredible. The sunflower bread was really unique and made the whole dish feel very healthy and decadent at the same time. The food was savory, flavorful, and absolutely worth going for. Pretty good spot! Came here around 9pm on a Friday night with no reservation. Tasty wine, got the meatball appetizer which was actually a large appetizer! Usually it's one or two meatballs and there were at least 10. My boyfriend got a pasta dish, I got the risotto. Both really Good options. Went here for dinner with a friend that I haven't seen in a while. Thought the ambience was nice and the decor. Great atmosphere for a date night. However our waiter Cesar was not very good. After we had just sat down for less than 5 minutes he wanted to know what we wanted. Not off to a good start. Throughout our time he did not give us time to review the menu. We were definitely being pressured to order and eat quick. This makes for an unpleasant experience at a restaurant. The bread that was brought to our table was cold. Most restaurants bring the bread warm to the table. I ordered the bolognese pasta and I did not like it at all. I've eaten many bolognese pastas and this was one of the worst ones. I didn't even finish it. There was not much meat sauce and it was not very flavorful. I will give them a 3 because the atmosphere was nice and they brought out the food quickly. However, the waiter has to do better job to give customers a chance to review the menu and still check on them without feeling pressured to order so quickly. Will not be returning here. read more

I have been coming to Felice restaurant's in many of they locations for the past 10 years, Felice 83 is one of the favorite of mine. I am in the hospitality industry my self as a Chef manager and so I am very critical when I go out and enjoy my time and dinning out. I have to thank again the attentive service I got on my visit today, I had a special guest visiting from Switzerland. We had been recognized by the staff on our arrival, which a great experience. They had remembered our drinks and preferences in food. I have to thank Constance the director of operation for her warm welcome and her General Manager Flavio Forgione to accommodate our needs and assistance in our food choice. Every time si come I discover new things on the menu. The thing I notice wile I am dinning is that when new customers walk in they have been welcome immediately. My new discovery from the Chef today was a Burrata Trartuffo with Prosciutto. Was a mouthwatering experience. Thank you Chef for it. This Italian Tuscan restaurant is one of the gems of NYC. Will be returning soon to experience more of the friendly service and great mouthwatering food of this fantastic restaurant. read more

Love this place! We recently went for dinner and brought along our baby with us. The restaurant was extremely accommodating with our stroller and even moved us to a quieter location when they noticed it was too noisy where they had seated us earlier. Visited this place for brunch last Sunday. My experience was absolutely terrific, the service was quick, the tables outside are nicely equipped with heaters that I didn't even feel I was outside despite the cold weather. The restaurant inside was spotless and I feel they are taking covid very seriously as they sanitize everything continuously.. the food was great and the Italian manager Flavio is super, super friendly, he kept visiting tables and checking on us and his energy was superb. Everything was nice until our waitress show up with a gloomy face. We ask for couple min cause wasn't sure about the wine. She offer us a Daily Specials and we told her the we are going to order wine and appetizers. And you can't even imagine what she said!!! Her answer was "Just the wine?" God, Yes!!!! We just want bottle of wine and appetizers! In 2 min their manager came out to us and asked to move to next door BAR and he offer us 20% discounts there. Ok i know I'm lucky because I live practically across the street and it's easy to go to ...but the food is simply amazing. I particularly love their Burrata and prosciutto with their own delicious olive oil ...it is heavenly and also I recommend the pappardelle with Italian sausage and porcini mushrooms in a truffle oil. This is getting one star only because they allowed us to taste a wine before ordering. My friend and I went on Sunday afternoon and sat outside. We ordered the salumi with 3 options, she ordered the gazpacho and I ordered the salmon tartar. 1. The meat and cheese was just ok. Seemed to get me unusually full, really quick. 2. The salmon tartar says it comes with a Dijon sauce, however, it smells nothing like Dijon and has the texture of left out mayo. Took this home. 3. Friend said gazpacho was really good. By Sunday night, I couldn't even deal with the smell of food, much less the $18 salmon tartar. On Monday I tried again to eat/smell it I became sick and have been home from work. I have a sensitive immune system so I hadn't said anything until that same friend and I text yesterday and I mentioned my stomach had been off all week. She immediately called me and told me she had all the same symptoms!! Have not been able to stomach anything most of the week, have had severe stomach cramping and have been throwing up. Be careful what you order here. I would not recommend going here. read more

I've lived across the street from this place for 6 months and I'm glad I finally went. Went for brunch with my girlfriend on a beautiful day. We sat outside on the street side of the restaurant. Nice quiet day and enjoyable levels of noise for our meal. I can't remember what I ordered, but my girlfriend had the hamburger. We just had out first meal at Felice 83, and it happened to coincide with the COVID 19 pandemic. We are extremely picky about our Italian restaurants, and I have to say we were extremely impressed. Everything was fresh and flavorful. It was easily one of the best meals we've had during COVID. We can't wait to dine in the restaurant and enjoy their wonderful food when things return to normal. The eggs a la Forno are cooked in the oven atop a casserole dish of a sausage sauce, with white truffle oil and fresh mozzarella....topped with a slab of delicious sunflower bread.
