Sampled the bruschetta, calamari with fried artichoke, fig and ricotta toast- all were great. For entree opted for a simple fusilli with burrata and red sauce. Very well done, great pasta. Me and my wife went, and we ordered for an appetizer the Ricotta, very good, but I have would liked it better without the bread for the first course we split the Cacio de Pepe not quite Roman style. It was good. I would've liked a little more cheese or pepper, but the waiter ran off. For the main course, we both got chicken Milanese which was outstanding. I just wish the service was a little better. And I was not happy about the little bowl of steamed potatoes for $14. read more

Turning 40 was wonderful but most Italian places are closed on Mondays, so I was happy to see this place was open. I got to wear my new heels I could no longer walk in (old mom here lol) :P cute place, great service, and great food. My son doesn't like birthdays so we did none of that, plus I don't need strangers singing me happy birthday or anything like that :P The views were gorgeous. Good time was had by all, except my son who was upset there weren't more ducks for him to see but not their fault lol. Very authentic Italian restaurant on a hidden serene setting. We sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful lakefront view. As far as the food we ordered a combination of calamari & artichokes which we absolutely loved. For entrees we each had homemade pasta's, with my wife having a yummy pappardelle with sweet Italian sausage, braised endive, porcini mushrooms, herbs, truffle sauce, and for my entree I had a scrumptious gnocchi basil pesto, string beans, crushed burrata, fresh basil leaves. For dessert we shared a decadent and luscious cheesecake covered in berries. Everything we ate was very authentic Italian, and along with the gorgeous setting left you with the feeling of dining on the Amalfi coast. We visited on September 10, to celebrate an anniversary. We had been there once before, two years ago, when we were visiting with friends, on Long Island, New York. This time was just as memorable as the first visit. We found out that they now have a location in West Palm Beach, Florida, a 30 minute drive for us. We are planning a dinner there soon. The food and service on Long Island, was outstanding. It was a little noisy, but that could be due to the open ceilings in what seems to be a vintage building. We had high hopes for this restaurant, but it seems that every time the restaurant is in a nice location with a nice view the food is terrible. Unfortunately that is again the case here. When you walk into the back of the restaurant and step outside, it overlooks the pond and although it's a little easier than one would like with all the chatter and clanking of the surrounding tables it still is very pretty. The problem is not with the view and the problem is not with the service. The problem is with the food. The gnocchi was the worst gnocchi we ever had in our lives. It was overcooked and the pesto sauce tasted like baby food. It didn't taste anything like pesto and the overcooked chopped up green beans in the sauce were terrible. Green on green! Try using a different color and try making a real pesto, I'm tired of paying these outrageous prices for entrées and restaurants skimping on real ingredients. The rest of the meal was more of the same. Very forgettable. read more

The restaurant is cute with a nice little view if you sit by the window, that's why it's getting the 2 stars. I came for brunch randomly and was able to walk in without a reservation. I've been wanting to try this place as I live close by and have heard it's decent. I ordered the vegetarian omelette with egg whites only. The omelette that came was tiny, the egg whites were undercooked and watery, and there was no goat cheese included. I also ordered a Diet Coke without ice, it came with ice. My husband got the regular omelette and specifically asked that the eggs not come over cooked... his omelette came brown. It was also small with very little filling. We shared the ricotta crostini as an appetizer which was the only thing that was actually good. For a bill of about $80 before tip, we were extremely underwhelmed and disappointed. I didn't complain about the issues with our meals while there because once we received our food, our waitress was nowhere to be found for a good 10 minutes. She was a lovely woman but she seemed to have a difficult time understanding us at all, which likely contributed to why our order didn't come out as requested. It felt like a waste of time to try to explain that my omelette was undercooked and missing goat cheese, my Diet Coke was filled to the brim with ice when I requested none, and my husband's omelette was burnt even though we asked for it to be soft scrambled. Not to mention, the portions were tiny. If that many things were wrong with our order when the restaurant is half full on a random Sunday, I think it's best for me to just accept the situation and move on/not come back. read more

What a hidden gem in Roslyn off the beaten path on the water. We ordinarily do not eat Italian or German food out because we make it at home but this joint reminded me of the little local Italian Nonna & Nonno restaurants where I grew up in Brooklyn. The food was delicious and the people were fantastic. From the soups to the rice balls for appetizers and the salad and the main dishes everything was perfect and outstanding. I had the steak which was really great seasoned with salt pepper and that's it. The pastas my wife and daughters had were perfect just like we make it at home fresh from scratch. The ambience is beautiful hidden off of Main Street on the pond even during a rain & snow storm the place was wonderful. We will definitely be back soon enough making this one of our favorite places. You'd be silly not to have a meal here, and the German Hefeweizen Bier was super cold and outrageous. read more

I didn't really have expectations for the food, but everything turned out really good! We ordered the meatballs were delicious and not overly cheesy! I thought my favorite pasta from the menu would have been the pappardelle salsiccia, but the fusilli al ferretto e burrata was amazing! Milanese was fine (I found it to be a little dry). Happy to have found a local Italian restaurant that's incredibly original. The food, service and overall atmosphere is top notch. I have the caccio e peppe and my wife had the pappardelle and bother were perfect. Perfect serving size, great price and different from what we can find locally around here. We started with a crostini with ricotta, figs, sliced almonds and spiced honey to go with our "spritzers". I was happy to tip over 22% after seeing such a manageable bill and the staff loved my Leo DiCaprio meme holiday sweater We were too full for desert but after seeing the coffee, tea and dessert menu, I'm coming back in the afternoon just for that. I brought my whole family here for my birthday celebration. We all shared multiple dishes including the Eggplant, Burrata Salad, and the Pappardelle. That night it took about 30 minutes to get home. Within 5 minutes I knew something was wrong. 5 out of 7 of us ended up getting FOOD POISONING. I immediately called the restaurant and let them know what happened and spoke with the manager "Rashid" (sp?) He promised me he'd call me back within 24 hours. I waited 8 days and finally decided to call him back. He said that he forgot to call me back and there's no way to "prove" it was from Felice and they wouldn't be able to do anything for me. I go out to eat at about 20 different restaurants a month and this has never happened before. My entire family got sick at the same time, about an hour after we ate so it was 100% from Felice whether they are willing to admit it or not. It's a shame they handled this situation so poorly. I was sincerely hoping they would have done better with this situation but they let me down. The fact that the manager never called me back speaks volumes about their priorities. I gave them an opportunity to rectify this and they declined. On top of this, they also are required to report this to the health department from my understanding which they did not do. read more

The dessert did not come with a candle! or friendliness. Other tables around us got bread as soon as they sat down and we had to ask for bread 3 times before we got ours. On a recent visit to New York we decided to visit some family in Long Island for a couple of days and landed on this spot for dinner. I mean who doesn't love a nice Italian meal! We are a group of sharers because we want to try everything so we ordered some bottles rosé for the table along with the polpettine and Arancini to start. Both were super decadent and a great way to start the meal. For entrees we went with the fettuccine alla bolognese along with the Milanese which was so big! Glad we decided to share. The fettuccine was definitely my favorite perfectly cooked and the meat to sauce ratio was excellent. Though I don't live here I highly recommend it for anyone visiting or locals. Had dinner here lately and was very impressed! The food was excellent, and surprisingly large portions for an upscale restaurant. The vibe was elegant, quite a beautiful location, right on the pond in Rosyln. We sat inside, but there was also a really nice outdoor space with heat lamps. Although it was elegant, it was also comfortable; diners seemed to all be enjoying themselves. The service was excellent; just the right amount of attention. Our server was Xavier, he gave great recommendations on wine and food, and checked in at just the right times. I highly recommend the crostini and ricotta as an appetizer, an the Branzino, Milanese, Linguine Frutti de Mar, or Spaghetti Arrabbiata as a main course. I was with a party of four, and we all shared bites - it was hard to choose a favorite. Desert was delicious as well; espresso perfetto, and a berry cheesecake. Sabir, the manager, also checked in on our experience, which was a nice touch. All in all, I will absolutely visit again the next time I am in Long Island. 10/10. read more

Felice is a big chain with locations throughout NYC. This new location in Roslyn is beautiful. Situated right on the pond with outdoor seating available, it's extremely pretty. The interior is also very welcoming and well done. I really wanted to like this place but the food is just so overpriced for the quality. I got a bolognese pasta that I could definitely make at home. I will say that the service was very good with our waters constantly being topped off. However, there's too many competing Italian restaurants with better food, more options, and fairer prices. I've only been here once so I will definitely try it one more time and revisit this review. read more
