I ordered the Salmon. It was fine, but nothing special. My companions ordered lasagna and pasta/shrimp. Again, it was all just "ok." Pros: 1) Great view right on the Hudson River overlooking the NYC skyline 2) Super convenient if visiting Stevens Institute of Technology 3) Delicious tiramisu for dessert 4) Service was ok -- fast delivery of food. They seemed a little overwhelmed because of a private party going on. Cons: 1) Food (except for tiramisu) was just "ok." 2) Food, for that price, should be better than "ok." 3) My tiny espresso cup was half-empty for $3.

(Dined 07/08/2023 SA @ 6:00pm): I'm sure "Ol' Blues Eyes" would've appreciated this restaurant in his hometown with a view of New York City right across the Hudson River! On my last visit, a dear friend and I vowed to return to Blue Eyes Restaurant for a meal due to our love for Frank Sinatra. A modern Italian eatery located in a relaxing waterfront park along the Hudson River, this was a wonderful place for people-watching while you wasted the day away. As we kicked back and caught up with each other, did we swoon over Blue Eyes' cuisine!? PURCHASE Bread (COMP): Large slices served with homemade marinara sauce, this was a lovely way to start the meal. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=mIF7_ZokZ6aNPiH1yCppuA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw 2020 Gavi di Gavi Villa Sparina Piemonte White Wine 4floz Glass ($14.00): Crisp and refreshing with notes of lemongrass and tropical fruits. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=1zEiXFDoBveJIWAzWZ1HKQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw 2020 Rosé Cote de Provence Jacourette Red Wine 4floz Glass ($13.00): Dry and light, easy drinking with notes of raspberry. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=iL-ClzyIhqKnr32PYljcwQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Polpetta di Granchio Maryland Style Crab Cake ($21.00): Served on a bed of spring mix and chipotle aioli, this was a meaty mound of breaded crab that was quickly devoured. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=ciWxwo6N3VYuSSluotZIGw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Spignola Nera Cajun Style Black Bass ($36.00): Served on a bed of arugula salad with roasted potatoes topped with mango salsa, the bass had a nice subtle crunchy outside and a moist inside but wished it was a bigger piece of fish. We easily grabbed one of several open tables and each handed a menu. We were quick to order drinks which came out minutes later, but we took forever to decide on what to eat which I'm sure annoyed our server. We finally placed our food order, got some water for the "lil' black beast", and slowly each dish arrived. As it got busier, the service suffered as it took awhile to get our empties cleared away and then get the check. Thankfully, it was a chillaxing time. PARKING (Street Only; N/A this instance) We walked from my friend's relatively nearby place. Otherwise, as was the case for much of Hoboken, there were limited spots along the main drag of Frank Sinatra Dr. and all surrounding streets unless you were lucky enough to find an empty spot, or you took public transportation which stopped nearby - nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Although there was a sizable brick & mortar with inside dining, we opted for the beauty of the outdoor patio https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=-5lOa5bxo5zWzKDNQUvLKQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw which had plenty of tables and views all around. I mean... you had views of the New York City skyline and a Frank Sinatra bronze statue! As you'd imagine, there was plenty of natural lighting since we were outdoors while minimal electric and street lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs nor any background music (should've had some Sinatra at least). https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=aqpaHnqS0xgsHbPloWpCXw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL We probably enjoyed the surrounding atmosphere of Blue Eyes Restaurant more than the restaurant itself. Thankfully, they allowed our furry family member outside (he loved to be with his hoomans!), and the menu was extensive enough albeit I preferred less modern and more authentic dishes. I felt the prices were on the elevated side, the portions good, and the service too casual without immediacy. I found fairly good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $159.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 3.5 STARS

Great food, service, and view! Went here for my anniversary and it did not disappoint. The servers were very attentive, the food was delicious, and the view of the pier was gorgeous.

Incredible pizza & pasta, incredible view. Great spot to enjoy an evening in Hoboken. Minutes from the light rail / path/ right along the water.

The view, the service, and the food was incredible! You have direct view of the skyline and are right by the water from almost anywhere that you sit in the restaurant. The owner is very Italian as is many of the servers who all make you feel so welcome and cared for. As for the pizzas - chefs kiss - loved it! It's simple, clean, and good. They have a brick oven where the pizzas come out nice and hot. We ordered Margarita and capricciosa. I'd order the capricciosa - it comes with two types of meat, mushrooms, olives, and artichokes - so good. The appetizers of frittura and burrata con prosciutto could have been done without - it wasn't mind-blowing and quantity was average, but taste still was good as expected. The pasta was average. Drinks are really good, I ordered a blue eyes - mango nectar with Prosecco.

I have lived in Hoboken for many years and have not been here due to me not hearing fantastic things about it. I finally decided to take my family there yesterday and it lived up to its reputation - you go for the view and not the food. The service was not the best - we had about 3-4 different waiters/waitresses throughout the course of the meal and it came off very disorganized. The bread was not the best (this is Hoboken, there is no excuse to not have great bread at any Italian restaurant). As for drinks, they only serve wine and beer, and their selection is quite small. For an entree I had the chicken parm, which was cooked with absolutely no love. You can tell the cutlet is deep fried and not pan fried in olive oil. The sauce was very odd, it was a pink sauce and in my opinion I believe chicken parm is best served with marinara sauce. The "side" of pasta it came with was about 20 penne noodles. For the price you pay, you should absolutely be getting more food. After all was said and done, I now know I have not missed out on anything special by waiting this long to check out Blue Eyes and will not be returning.

While visiting a friend in Hoboken, she took us to Blue Eyes because it has the best view of the NYC skyline. We began our meal in their covered patio, but once the food came, we had to request to move inside because there was a bee that refused to leave us alone and started to crawl on the pizza. Luckily they were able to accommodate us, though I did get the vibe they weren't thrilled about it... The food was all good, nothing totally blew us away but nothing was bad either. The underside of the pizza was a little overdone in my opinion and had a slightly burnt flavor, which I don't expect for Neapolitan style pizza. I liked their marinara sauce on the chicken parm. The food all did come out very quickly which was appreciated!

Good. Solid dinner on the water - I've been meaning to try this spot since I went when they first opened and wasn't that impressed. Meal was good and service was good - we ordered burrata, Caesar salad (too heavy dressing IMO), Parma pizza and Penne alla vodka pasta. We liked everything and would recommend - not sure we'd run back though as we have so many Italian spots in town but it was good.

Location - restaurant has a very nice waterfront view and the option to sit right outside. Too hot the evening we went so we sat inside and still got to enjoy the view Service - service was ok. Our waitress didn't seem to care too much about being friendly. Her vibe was off when she approached our table and we didn't really appreciate her tone when answering questions about the menu. The food - my son enjoyed the pizza, hubby loved his red snapper meal and I give my carbonara spaghetti two thumbs up. Keep in mind this place only offers beer and wine and fountain drinks. You will have to pay for your fountain drinks refills.

    Is this byob?

No they had a full bar.

Is it possible to make a reservation for a party of 10?

Hi! Yes, please call the restaurant!

How is the parking situation -- is there a parking garage?

street parking, which can be a pain especially on weekends.

Is there usually a wait for outdoor seating on a Friday night around 7:30?

I don't know for sure, but my guess would be that there would be a wait for outdoor seating at 7:30, especially on a Friday. The view is wonderful and if the weather is pleasant, Sinatra Park area is very popular with the locals.

He was also super friendly and was able to help us navigate the menu and helped me with Gluten free options. We opted for the pear salad. I got a limoncello chicken and my husband got a pork chop. All the food was super delicious. It's a challenge for me to get a good meal being gf and dairy free now and this was perfection. Chris was able to put things on the side and recommended the perfect dishes! We had dessert also which was a GF banana cake with Gelato. It was delish. My only complaint was I thought the desserts were small and a little pricey. If priced a little less, we would have ordered 2 or 3. All in all it was a perfect experience and evening, and we will be back soon! Highly recommend!

I…read morehad been eager to try their pies, as well as their full meals, but only just made it to their dimly lit, hip and happening main dining room. The space was not large, but they really made the most of it, offering a decent number of tables with reasonable space between them. My friend and I were quickly seated and immediately greeted by a charming server that opened our bottle of wine (it's BYO) and offered us still or sparkling water. I had read in other reviews that you had to pay for water, so I was not surprised by the $6 bottle of Saratoga that wound up on our bill. In addition to our engaging server and the happening atmosphere, the food was similarly incredible. We decided to order a load of things to share, so that we could try a greater variety. We started with two appetizers that were seasonal Spring additions to the menu. The Hamachi Crudo included five thickly-sliced, tender pieces of Japanese yellowtail sitting in a broth of rhubarb aguachile and topped with white strawberries and basil seeds. It was an unique blend that we would not have expected to work, but boy was it delicious! The sweet toppings infused a load of flavor into an otherwise mild fish. We also enjoyed the Fava-mole, a creamy puree of fava beans studded with balls of hand-pulled mozzarella and pea tendrils, all drizzled with zesty ramp oil. I had not been sure what to expect from the dish, but it offered fresh, bright garden flavors. We also decided to share a pasta course and an entree. The Fettuccini was tossed with spring truffles and maitakes in a light, yet heavily aromatic, wild mushroom cream sauce. It was one of the best dishes I had had in quite some time. Then, as we were waiting on our seafood entree, we received a second pasta, courtesy of the Chef. I had mentioned that I had heard rave reviews about Flour from a server at Heirloom Kitchen, a top NJ restaurant. Apparently, our waiter had let the Chef know about that glowing praise, and the kitchen further verified that positivity with the generous gesture. In fact, they wound up sending out the Linguine with white clam sauce, razor clams, and wild ramps, the other dish about which I had been most curious anyway. Well, it was another winner! It was garlicky, herbaceous, and rich with flavors of the sea. Speaking of seafood, we next received the Branzino 'Bahn mi', a perfectly cooked piece of Mediterranean sea bass with Vietnamese sausage and pickled vegetables. The branzino's crispy skin and flaky, moist interior were excellent, and we loved all of the other smoky and briny flavors on the plate. After all of that excellent food, we would have loved to try one of their appealing desserts, but we were just too full. Between the ambiance, welcoming vibe, and delicious cuisine, our Flour experience was simply divine! It has now became one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and I cannot wait to try their pizza at some point as well.

I was a big fan of both, especially the ricotta, which was so incredibly creamy. For the mains, everyone's fresh-made pasta was excellent. I ordered the Mexican street corn, which was unique, flavorful, and delicious. I also tried some of the spicy rigatoni and loved it. We ended the night with the s'mores dessert, which was rich and chocolatey. Also, the fact that the restaurant is BYOB is a huge plus! The only downside was that I lost an item during our visit. I had a really hard time finding their contact information online, so I had to go back in person to ask about it, which was a bit annoying. Ultimately, they weren't able to recover it, but the food itself was still outstanding.
