I recommend the Taro Foam Cake, it's delicious and it's baked fresh daily! The drinks are also very delicious, the Kiwi Basil in particular I liked the most. The ambiance of the cafe is nice and calm, it's a great place to study. The cups used for the drinks is also great, very sturdy. They are reusable and if brought back into the shop you can get a discount for reusing it! read more

How I paid $14.61 for 3 cups of water. No tips, you'll know why after you finish reading my review. I'm on a different level of disappoint right now! When Feng Cha Austin first open a few years back, I tried it and it was okay. The store was new then so it had this strong distasteful odor. All in all, I was never satisfied enough to come back. But I went to the one in Houston and the tea there was really good. So I came back to Feng Cha Austin today to give it a second chance. Let's just be honest, the second chance was such a waste of my money. Customer service: The store wasn't even that crowded but the customer service was meh. One of the girls who works there was really grumpy and had this spiteful look on her face. You know it, the "I hate work" attitude. I understand that everyone has a bad day, but her attitude made me uncomfortable, really. The workers here just seemed like they were confused. Drinks: Next up is the tea, which I don't even want to talk about. I got Cheese Milk Foam Black Tea with 75% sugar and normal ice. Hello??? 75% sugar??? More like 25%. My friends also got 75% sugar on their drinks and they were all bland. Literally water. However, the foam was okay...Overall, the teas we ordered were nasty and unappetizing. Yucky customer service, disgusting bobas. Honestly, it was kind of a shitty experience. I'm so so displeased. I had to refrain myself from coming in and throw a huge fuss at the store. I know I'm being a Karen right now but please...When it comes to boba, I get offended if you don't make it right. This location of Feng Cha is terrible, I mean really. Best tea house in Austin! The dirty boba with milky foam tasted like a salted caramel pretzel drink- it was super tasty and addictive. The perfect combo of sweet and salty! The foam was new for me but dang Feng cha!! It was a new kind of tasty! The taro was also really good. Feng Cha's slogan is Serve Tea with Respect!! And it shows in their presentation. The tea straws and cups are so cute!! Like adult sippy cups for boba- delish! They are also reusable and you can bring them back and get them filled again! The straws are paper instead of plastic!! Woohoo! Personally I would come back again and again. The inside of this place is very chill. There's tables to sit and enjoy your tea and possibly work or study! The service was also very friendly. This was my first time here and I loved it! They don't have desserts right now though so don't let those menus outside fool you. My drink was very creamy and smooth which I appreciated. I got the mango au lait and my husband got the dirty coffee latte. Both of which were refreshing. My friend said that you can reuse the cups to bring back and refill and get a few cents off the next one, will have to try and verify that next time. It's SO easy to place an order online beforehand. DEFINITELY try the foams - taro is my favorite! It adds a little dimension of flavor if you're boring (can we say purist?) like me and usually get black milk tea 90% of the time. I enjoy a few of their other options - like lychee jellies and basil seeds - but there aren't a ton like other places. Plenty of study space and outlets during non peak hours. Restroom is clean. The boba is good, but not worth the price. Tea is above average. First time I stopped here was a while back when this was the Tea Haus-- it had been my only time until I came back for what Feng Cha now offers. Photos of their fruit teas had popped up on my yelp recommendations so I had to try because they looked so inviting. The seasonal/summer drinks were not available which was a bummer less the melon green tea option. It was good, not overly sweet and the cups are reusable plastic. The latter brought me back since they give a 5% discount for reusing then along with having gotten a better look at the menu. Returning I had a better idea for what I was in the mood to drink. A big matcha latte iced. Cheese foam in the name will throw you off but think of it as a cheesecake topping. Some tart to enhance the sweetness of your drink which was not otherwise overwhelming. Sustainability here is also a plus since their straws are paper. Sadly, it fell apart once I made it to the best part which was the boba and foam. Better to bring my own metal boba straw in the future-- especially since their lids are suitable for them. Will come back to try the Oreo cheese drink and the tiramisu foam. read more

I was hoping this place would be good, but unfortunately they may be the worst boba tea shop in Austin. The green tea with sea salt milk foam was undrinkable. The milk foam tasted like cake frosting and wasn't savory/salty at all. We thought they accidentally gave us the wrong foam, but the manager told us the sea salt milk foam isn't supposed to be salty at all despite the name. ‍ The green tea itself also tasted weird. It was incredibly watery like other reviewers mentioned and wasn't fragrant like you'd expect a jasmine tea to be. Sadly, we ended up pouring the drink down the drain after getting home. The citrus lord was decent. It's a nice refreshing drink for a hot summer day. I recommend getting it at 100% sweetness. I chose 50% bc the staff told me it's really sweet, but you'll need the extra sweetness to balance out the citrus juice taste. At least the staff was nice. We went at dinner time on a Saturday and we the drinks came out quickly. The staff also kindly remade the green tea milk foam when we initially thought we were given the wrong topping so kudos to their customer service. Unfortunately the quality of the drinks are just bad; otherwise I'd love to come back! read more

I tried a grapefruit tea with lychee jelly and my friends got a creme brûlée dirty boba (which was super extra since the people working there brought out a legit food torch on the drink!). Tried this place for the first time yesterday and couldn't be happier. Ordered 2 black milk teas with boba, sea salt cake, and basil fried chicken. The drinks were excellent quality and tasted superb. Sea salt cake was the only one with a boba topping and was very moist, spongy. We really enjoyed the cake. Basil fried chicken was moist and crispy. All around we liked everything and will be going back. Customer service is top notch! The kitchen didn't hear we ordered basil chicken, so we waited a bit extra. For the mistake, the owner/manager gave us an additional taro chocolate cake dessert. The cake was excellent quality and super delicious based on my fiancée. I am not a Taro person, but this goes to shows they truly care about their customers. read more

The BEST bubble tea in Austin. I recently moved from NYC, and I've struggled to find solid bubble tea and bagels. Still on the journey to find a good bagel but WOW this bubble tea is amazing. My go-to was always Rose Milk Tea, and even though it's not on the menu, they were able to make me a version that was delicious. The milk didn't taste powdery and it was perfect at 50% sugar level. Feng Cha just doesn't do it for me. I've tried several milk teas from them and they're all too overly milky for me. Even the Oolong is drowned out by it and it's a bolder flavor compared to green or jasmine. They do get props for their bubbles, which is the best consistency I've seen in a long time. read more
