Checked out HK Tea with my husband. I was in the mood for a hot milk tea and my husband ordered one of the specialty teas, Classic Cooper. The hot Classic Milk Tea I ordered was well balanced and not overly sweet at 25% sugar. The Classic Cooper at 50% sugar that my husband ordered was refreshing and a bit sweet. The HK Tea is very clean, modern, and inviting with lo-fi playing in the background. Service was friendly and fast. Its a really beautiful space and I was surprised watching the number of people going in and out with their drink orders but not really sitting down to chit chat, relax and enjoy the tea or coffee.

So I visited this tea shop on a whim before going to a musical and I'm so glad I stopped by. They carry legitimately good Hong Kong milk tea, which is a very strong special type of milk tea and very few places get it right. Their Jasmine Oolong tea is also fantastic. It's very difficult to find tea shops in Austin Texas that carry a blend of Jasmine and Oolong tea. The specific tastes, both nutty and floral and the only comparable tea that I've had that's like it is in Houston. The ambience is super cute and I love that they don't over sweeten their drink drinks. You can adjust the sweetness level easily for most drinks. We will definitely be back when we are in the area.

It's an interesting business model to have a boba shop attached to a pho restaurant. I'm not sure that bubble tea and pho really go well together. Nevertheless, my Hong Kongese friend was excited to put HK Tea to the test. We got the HK lemon tea, and it's very nice that they put "(strong tea)" next to it to inform customers. The shop has really pretty decor. I especially love the cute little potted plants. She asked the employee about the sweetness level, and if it was more on an HK or American sweetness scale. The employee was very friendly and answered her questions thoroughly. He suggested starting at 50% and adding more sugar later. She opted for 25% but then added to 50%. However, the drink was so sour that she said she could probably easily do 100% sugar, and my friend who normally likes 100% sweetness boba would need 200%. I thought the drink was extremely sour as well, and I did not enjoy the taste of it. According to my friend, they added lemon juice to it, which is not standard, and the sourness was stronger than a standard HK lemon tea. We don't expect this drink to be totally authentic as there are different ingredients sold in the US, but it was soooooo sour. It probably would've been better if we had gotten more sugar, so I would give it four stars just for the drink. The part that makes me drop my rating is that we patiently waited 20+ minutes for one drink, and there was no one else ordering drinks during our wait time. When we were called for our pho table, my friend went up to the counter to ask, and it appeared that the employee had just forgotten about it. It ended up taking around 25 minutes just to get the drink when there were few customers.

Really cute place with a peaceful ambiance playing c-pop in the background for a Wednesday afternoon. Would be a really nice place to camp out to study if there were more assccesible plugs. It was nice to play a small board game there, though not the place for huge ones as the tables are more of the small and cute type. Menu isn't huge, but has some unique drinks such as durian or sesame smoothies. Prices seemed fair considering everything has gone up recently. The owners are also very nice, helpful, and communicative. If asked, they are open to explain or answer any questions and emphasize to let them know if theres anything they can do to make the drink better fit your preferences. They are also connected to Pho Phong Luu next door and would make a nice combo either before or after a meal. Had a Classic Milk Tea, 25% sweetness, light ice, with boba and a pandan waffle. Both were really good, though would have preferred a bit less ice. Went with Classic MT instead of the HK Tea since it was the late afternoon, but the tea still kept me up till early morning so you know it's real tea. The pandan waffle was amazing with a mild sweetness, crispy outside and slightly chewier inside compared to typical batter waffles. They also have ube and cream dips in the add-on section that I missed, but definitely want to try next time!

We stopped here while waiting for a seat to open up next door (Pho Phong Luu) and got some hong kong lemon tea (half sweet/less ice) with taro pudding. Pic shows my drink after I had taken a few sips already, but they do throw in plenty of lemon slices in and squeeze the juice and include lemon pulp. The tea was very STRONG and mildly astringent, which I don't mind...they have great customer service and had a sign out saying they offer drink adjustments if your order is not to your liking. Ordering is placed through a kiosk and my order came out moderately quickly. The cafe was busy, and several people were there to wait for tables for next door, so it's probably not the best place to chill and chit chat if during Pho Phong Luu's busy hours. They have a cute instagram-y backdrop that is decorated seasonally.

Great boba place right next to Pho Phoung Luu! It may not have a lot of variety and drinks, but the black sesame smoothie tasted delicious. I got 50% sweetness, but I think 75% may be better to add a bit more sweetness to the drink. Also, the pandan waffles were good but couldn't taste the pandan much so it tasted more like regularly waffles. The service was quick and smooth. There's a kiosk at the front, and there's a cute place to take pictures inside.

Good boba spot! Nothing spectacular or necessarily different in my opinion. black sesame smoothie was pretty yummy, good nuttiness that was addicting taro milk yea was reallllly sweet

Ordered online. A variety of flavors and boba/add-in options. Love that you can select the sugar level, but it is pretty high to begin with. Service with a smile. There was a large group of patrons settled in for a party who seemed to be very comfortable. Looking forward to trying the waffles next time!

It's a solid spot, and convenient for grabbing while waiting for your spot at Pho Phong Luu which is what got me grabbing a drink here. The boba I received was fine -- the $9 price point is on the higher end, but I don't think really stood out more than other options. They also carry oat and soy milk options for people who avoid dairy, but weirdly can only make maybe 3 drinks with those milks. It makes options a bit limited, when most boba spots are able to adjust the majority of their drinks if needed.

The service was friendly, and the milk tea and boba were good! There is plenty of seating, and the decor is super cute. It feels clean and relaxing. I'll definitely come back to try their other drinks!

The service is a bit cold but timely. There are a lot of seating options, and the place feels clean and bright. It's conveniently located right next to Pho Phong Luu. Both stores are connected, so you can order boba while having a bowl of pho. HK Milk Tea (Cold) - $6.50 5/5 This is quite authentic, and it's supposed to be bitter. I usually order 30% sweetness, but for this drink, I had to order 70%, and I still think it could be sweeter. So if you prefer sweeter drinks, 100% sweetness might be your best bet. They also offer to adjust the sweetness after you try it, which is super nice. Pandan Waffle - $5.75 4/5 It was freshly made, so I had to wait a little--probably around 5 to 10 minutes--which I didn't mind at all. The pandan flavor is subtle. I like the texture: crispy on the outside, with a soft and slightly chewy mochi-like inside. I don't usually eat very sweet things, but this waffle was about 1/5 in sweetness for me. They also sell matcha and cheese dips for $0.75. I feel like this waffle definitely needs a dip. HK Lemon Tea - $6.50 5/5 The tea is strong, and there are slices of lemon in my cup. It's refreshing and not too sour. I like this even more than the HK milk tea.

Great ambiance and friendly service. We had this for dessert but it is seems most people here were waiting for their seat for Pho Phong Luu! There's a kiosk if you desire to order from and each drink was freshly prepped. Lots of seating available. Parking was plentiful as its shared within the center. Enjoy!

Stopped in since it was built in to the pho restaurant, and glad we stopped in. Atmosphere/Ambiance - 5/5 - Combined with Pho Phong Luu, you can also wait here while you are waiting for your table (we had to wait for Pho Phong Luu for 15 minutes for a group of 4 adults, 4 kids). Staff - 5/5 - Friendly and attentive. Explained the process well. Food/Drink - Ordered the following: HK Tea - 5/5 - Ordered this for the kiddo. I usually order full sugar, but this time, I ordered 50% because I do not want my kid jumping off the rails. Of course he is too little to care for it, so I ended up drinking it. They have many, many flavors here, and the only reason I am knocking a star is because we only ordered one item. We were basically too full from lunch. However, I will be back to the Pho restaurant, and therefore will come back here to try the other flavors.

I don't think I've ever walked into a boba shop and immediately thought, "wow, this feels like an…read moreexperience," but here we are. The place was SUPER crowded when we arrived, but the line moved surprisingly fast, and there was even a kiosk to self-order if you didn't want to wait for cashier checkout. Efficiency aside, one of my favorite things was honestly the smell of the space. While waiting for our drinks, there was this fragrant tea aroma lingering in the air--you could genuinely smell the tea despite all the cream, milk, and sweetness floating around. As a tea lover, that immediately won me over. The place was also exceptionally clean despite how busy it was. I kept noticing employees consistently wiping things down and cleaning as they worked, which weirdly made me trust the sanitation here even more. And can we talk about the drink design? These drinks are SO cute. The intentional sticker placement over the lips, the little carrying handle--everything felt carefully stylized. You could tell they weren't just trying to make something flavorful, but something memorable and visually fun. I never thought I'd say a drink was Instagram-worthy, but these felt like the supermodels of the boba world. Even the receipt paper somehow felt luxurious (yes, I'm seriously mentioning receipt paper in a boba review). That tiny detail made me realize how intentional every aspect of this place feels. Nothing here felt accidental. Dong Ding Oolong Tea w. Fresh Milk - Very mild and creamy, almost like a mellow latte. Not my personal favorite, only because I had eaten way too much creamy food beforehand, but I genuinely loved the tea profile here and could absolutely see why others would adore this drink. High Mountain Pouchong Tea w. Lemon Juice & Mousse (Creamy Lemon Tart) - After all the sugar I had earlier in the day, this absolutely HIT the spot. The tartness was perfect and super refreshing. The cream had little bits of lemon zest mixed in, adding even more citrus aroma and making the drink feel brighter overall. I also tried adjusting the sweetness while ordering and was told it had built-in sweetness--but they reassured me that if it ended up too sweet, they'd gladly swap it for another drink. I genuinely felt like I was dealing with Amazon's generous return policy. Thankfully, no return was needed because this drink was perfect. Creamy Mango Tart - Literally the Lemon Tart, but mango. I loved this just as much. Both tart drinks felt refreshing and balanced, and instantly became fan favorites for us. Overview--I love, love, LOVE this place. Like... 1000/10 levels of love. From the experience to the drink quality to the sheer intentionality behind every detail, I couldn't be happier with this visit. I'm also ridiculously happy to hear one recently opened in Houston because I would LOVE to bring my cousins here someday. Would go back in a heartbeat--this has officially won the spot for my favorite boba place.

They offer a variety of drinks and snacks so it took us awhile to decide on our drinks. Cloudy Taro Bliss + Lychee Jelly ($8.04): I ordered this at 75% sweet. It's perfect if you sip continuously, but the sweetness becomes more noticeable when you pause. Besides that, the drink is very smooth and has a prominent taro flavor. Popcorn Chicken ($8.99): Decent, but not the best I've had, though my friends enjoyed it more than I did. However, everyone else likes it. The portion felt a bit small for the price too. It came with a side of pickled veggies which was different. Vietnamese Stir Fry Corn ($8.49): The flavors were on point. They seem to use Vietnamese butter which makes it taste more authentic, and the Chin-su sauce really elevates it. Durian Sugarcane ($8.94): My husband thought this tasted canned rather than made with fresh sugarcane. Roasted Rice Milk Tea With Pandan Foam: My friend's husband ordered this at 100% sweetness, which was too much for me, but the flavor combination wasn't bad. Strawberry Milk Tea With Pandan Foam: My friend got this at 50% sweetness, and it was a bit sweeter than my Cloudy Taro Bliss. The drink tastes exactly like strawberry milk, so if you like that, this is for you. I enjoyed the taste, but it's not my go-to milk tea choice. Sesame Coffee: The Vietnamese coffee had a strong, bold flavor, though the sesame notes in the foam were quite subtle. Rice Paper Salad: Ordered to-go which is not recommended. Unfortunately the rice paper was hard and clumped together, even after pouring the sauce on top, which really affected the overall quality.
