Parking is a bit of a hassle during busy times since they only have street parking, which is often full during the daytime. Love this boba place! I got their taro milk tea (large, 50% sugar, less ice) and it was so delicious! They use real taro, not powder and you can taste the freshness. I looove Moge, it's probably my fav boba spot in Austin actually! They have so many toppings, and it's one of the only places I've seen a pear oolong, which I hadn't had since I went to the Alley in California. I love their rose black tea, and the four seasons variety as well. I never go for the jelly add ins or more smoothie-like drinks but they have tons of options if you're into that! The staff are always really fast. The only thing I don't love is the parking sitch; the shop is right on the drag so there's paid parallel parking out front but when that's full you either have to go park @Target across the street and buy something, or find paid parking elsewhere. That said if you're just picking up an order and leaving you can throw on your emergency lights and grab and go. They do have plenty of seating inside, though. I I used one of their faulty ordering tablets, which appears to force customers to tip, but the others did not have that same issue. I hope someone reads this and gets it fixed. I have loved boba all my life, but this is the first boba shop that has made me fall in love with a drink. I am in love with the mango tea slush with cheese foam. Every time I get that drink, I fall in love with life again and it brings me happiness. For general drink recommendations, I obviously recommend the mango tea slush. The tea slushes do come in different flavors if mango is not your vibe. I've tried the grape, watermelon, strawberry, and mango. All of them have been amazing but mango is my favorite! They do use real fruit in their slushes, which is why I think I like them so much. They taste very refreshing with the real fruit. I recommend adding cheese foam too. The drinks here aren't that sweet, so I typically go with 100% sweetness (generally do 75% or 50% at other boba shops). I have tried a few milk based drinks from here and they were okay. Had to check out a boba shop while in town & this was conveniently a 10 min walk from the hotel I was staying at. Since this is located on the main, Guadalupe Street, I'm not if there were any other parking available besides street parking. It may not look like much from the outside but it's a super cute place inside. There were a handful of iPad kiosk to order from - plus there's pictures which I appreciate. Of course, seeing that they have fresh taro options, I had to get one. I went with the taro tofu pudding milk with boba (I would've went with milk tea option but it was already late in the day and I wanted to make sure I get sleep). I asked the worker there for her suggestion on sweetness level and she recommended 0%.. and mentioned I liked a little bit of sweet so she then said 30%.. but I ended up getting 50%. To be honest, after mixing the drink up, I should've went with 100% or even 75% sweetness because there was barely any sweetness. Regardless, it was a refreshing drink for the hot weather but definitely would a higher sweet level for this drink. I was surprised to see a large boba tea franchise appear in Austin before anywhere in California. MÖGE TEE has locations in 15 other states while the Golden State will be debuting a few stores soon according to their website. This spot is located in a heavy vehicle traffic corridor of the UT campus. Nearby curbside parking is available if you pay at a kiosk. It was difficult to cross Guadaloupe St from W 20th St because the crosswalks were further up or down the block. The inside of the store was clean and modern. The first thing that grabbed my attention was the lack of a cashier. All orders were placed at one of several stations that had a screen to choose your items. After paying and receiving a number, you waited for your order to be called out. Their drink offerings were standard with most of the campus boba tea shops including the option of cheese foam or yogurt. The presence of basic maki rolls on the menu seemed out of place though. I picked a Super Fruit Tea which had ingredients of fresh watermelon, orange, lime, and lemon mixed with freshly brewed green tea. Light ice and the addition of chewy regular bubble (i.e. boba pearls) were my modifications. The price was a sticker shock at $5.95 for a regular size and $0.75 for the bubble. Adding tax and gratuity created a tab of over $8 which was hefty for something less than a large sized drink. The wait time wasn't too bad, maybe about 10 minutes since the store was moderately busy with students. The fruit flavors and tea quality were good but like a few other reviewers, I docked one star from my rating because the value did not match the competition. read more

Finally got to try MÖGE TEE. The location on Yelp is incorrect, it's located at 2000 Guadalupe between MLK and 24th street in a strip mall where many mom and pop Asian restaurants are located right across from the Dobie Center. Like the other reviews mention this is one of the pricier Bubble Tea places in Austin. However the drinks here would normally be the larger sized drinks at other places. I ordered the yogurt based drinks since those drinks are unique over the other places in Austin. The yogurt has a nice taste that wasn't too tart. I opted for the Strawberry tea. The Strawberries were slightly sweet and you can definitely taste the Strawberry flavor in the tea. 30% sugar is sweet enough for me. I also added boba to my drink. The boba here is top notch. I found it to have a perfect chew. As for ordering, there are many kiosks to order from. I read from other reviews you can save $5 by using the app. If it's your first time ordering you will also get a coupon code to get $5 off your next visit. Picking up the order is a little challenging as it is for most boba places. Remember your number and walk closer to the pick up area; otherwise you won't be able to hear your number as the music tends to be the dominant sound. If you didn't hear your number, the drinks are labeled with the order number. I found that most people didn't realize this and waited for their drinks unnecessarily without checking the ones already on the counter. This did create a traffic jam in the pick up area. Is it worth it? Only if you are in the UT area. I live a 10 min car ride away and couldn't really find street parking so I just took the bus here. I hope they open more locations that are more accessible to the rest of Austin. read more

I am pretty shocked after my recent visit because this boba place requires you to tip (this is new to me) and I've never seen that anywhere before. There's no option to customize or edit the amount either-the only options are $1, $2, $3, or $4 before you tap on continue and checkout. This all happened at a self-service kiosk which is ironic. The good thing is all of the tips go to the employees but I think this practice of requiring you to tip is unheard of and a little unsettling because if it's required x amount, maybe just add that to the price? Besides the uncommon tipping requirement, I think the drinks here are mediocre. I've been here 3 different times and I always left more impressed with the idea of the shop than the actual drinks. I first heard about this place through a forum and the person described this place as a boba shop that uses high quality ingredients. My experience with this chain in Carrolton was much better. I went there for the first time and the employees made really good recommendations like what sweetness for the drink because the fruit was in season etc. But this place is not like that because people can order at the self-service kiosk. The drinks looks more interesting on the menu than when I receive it. I feel like I've order interesting things and when I receive it, it doesn't look like the picture or a bit underwhelming. You have to find street parking which is really hard here or pay to park in the garage. If you don't live around the area then you most likely would have to pay to park somewhere. All in all, I think the design of the place is very nice and I appreciate the aesthetics of the place. There still more to be desired from my experience. SO YUMMY. I'm so glad Moge Tee opened after I graduated because I would've spent all my money here, especially considering how close it is to campus. Their drinks are pretty expensive, but each cup is a decent size and can be really filling. I love Beijing yogurt (Chinese yogurt is more tart and rich), and they have a drink that mixes Beijing yogurt and mangoes. It's absolutely insane. They also have a version with strawberries. I like that Moge Tee offers more variety in boba drinks because they do them very well. I've tried a variety of other drinks when my friends and I come, and everything has been pretty yummy. The drinks are ok but heaven forbid you want to alter an order somehow. If you want to add or subtract something from your drink and it's not listed on the kiosk, you will be interrupted with a no before you can finish your sentence and that's coming directly from the owner. That was my very first interaction with this place. We gave it a 2nd chance and same thing again. I wanted to add yogurt to my drink and immediately got turned down again. So I had to change my whole order to one that already had yogurt in it from the menu and I guess the girl preparing my drink didn't like that too much cause she just flopped a glob of yogurt off the side of the cup. I made sure it was only 30% sugar level. Upon receiving it and trying it out, I was extremely disappointed. The boba tasted like watered down bland tofu water with powder milk. I didn't really taste the tea as other comments mentioned. I understand that I ordered the soft tofu pudding as a topping, but I assumed it would at least be drained properly. The first time I went, I got their Signature Milk Tea with boba (have to try the classic first) then I tried out their Match Milk Tea topped with whip cream. Both were okay and left me wanting for more. For the Signature MT, I did like how rich the tea flavor was in the drink but the boba wasn't super memorable. I did not like the Matcha at all. I understand that the ingredients are all natural so the texture and flavor profile may be different from other shops. However, my drink did not taste like it was properly blended and it left a very dry and rough aftertaste with every sip. I did hear that their main speciality drinks are their fruit teas. I will probably come back to try it out to get a more holistic experience. But with the price tag of $6-7, I just don't think this is worth especially when some of the drinks are a hit or a miss. I'm so glad this placed opened - all the other boba places in wampus are either mediocre or just outright bad. Moge tee may be a bit more pricy, but the extra dollar or two is justified by their high quality. Drinks are not overly iced and never taste powder-y. The brown sugar boba is creamy and you can taste the hint of the brown sugar. The boba is warm and chewy, and is not bland like some other places. I also really like the super fruit tea, which is perfect if you're looking for a refreshing tea with fresh fruits (watermelon, passion fruit, etc.) My favorite though would probably have to be the taro milk tea which is made with fresh taro. Highly recommend! Personally, I find that 30% sweetness is more than enough and sometimes request they include less. I got 50% sweetness just to test how sweet their drinks were - and it's not too sweet compared to other drinks I've gotten in Austin. If you're not a fan of overly sweet drinks like me I would recommend getting 30% sweetness instead. The drinks are on the pricier side ($6-$7) but is very worth it quality wise.
