I give this spot a 3.5 from my experience, but I'm definitely willing to try it again. I came here after lunch and all 4 of us got the dirty boba. 2 with jasmine, 2 with oolong (one of which I adjusted for 50% sugar). Despite us all order the same thing within minutes, it took the last two oolong drinks about 10 mins to be finished after the first two were. There was no line nor were there many people inside of the cafe in general, so it was a ridiculously long time to wait. I know that they flambe the creme brulee topping on top, but i find it excessive and doesn't make that big of a difference. Everyone commented that their drinks were too sweet except mine which was at 50%. They don't advertise that the sweetness can be adjusted, but I always ask and I'm glad i did. The quality of the drinks is pretty high, so I'll return because I'm sure they can do other drinks well. One of us also got the matcha green tea cake which I took a bite of but didn't enjoy which is surprising because i'm a HUGE dessert person. It was essentially a Goldilocks sponge cake (mamon) with matcha sauce all over it. If I get cake, I want real cake. read more

However, i can't give 5 stars because I've had service issues several times. I always order ahead and pick-up, but it is impossible to get their attention when arriving for pickup. I end up waiting forever, even when i can see my order is already ready. They mainly call for doordash or other delivery service orders. I have to flag down the person packing orders to get my order every time; even going to the front order counter doesn't help since that person isn't responsible for packing orders. It would be great if there was 1 person dedicated to calling out orders that are finished packing, rather than relying on the packing person to both pack orders that might be backing up and try to notice waiting customers and ask for name/order#. A small operational fix would significantly improve service. read more

This is one of my go tos for boba/tea! They have a wide selection of flavored milk teas, fruit teas, and premium juices! I usually opt for a simple jasmine green tea with some sea salt milk foam and it always hits the spot. Personally I care about the tea flavor more when I have boba and Feng Cha never disappoints. My brother always gets their dragon fruit drink although they seemed to have stopped selling it (Feng Cha if you're reading this please bring it back), it was his favorite drink of all time across allll boba stores! I loved the sea salt pearl cake and paired it with the grapefruit tea. The grapefruit has a great taste and isn't too sweet (at 70% sweetness). Unfortunately, I had no idea how much ice they put in the small... I will definitely adjust the ice levels for next time. With so much competition in the Bay Area, Feng Cha's pricepoints are about average if not on the pricier side. Walked in today since I was in the area. I ordered a few drinks for my family, including an Osmanthus Oolong for myself. The drink: Osmanthus oolong with lychee jelly and oat milk at 30% sweetness. The flavor of the tea itself was good, but the oat milk was strangely savory and kind of disrupted the tea's lightness. It might not have been the oat milk itself, but something in the tea tasted more suited to coffee than tea. The lychee jelly was pretty standard and not too syrupy, but a few pieces tasted a little funny, like mold (it could very well just have been another flavor, but it tasted leafy). The texture was good, however. The service: Pretty good. Like other reviewers, I noticed the drinks came out a little slowly, but I didn't mind. I would rather have my drinks made slower and with more attention than rushed and made incorrectly. I think the wait also seemed longer because people end up just standing and waiting instead of sitting like they normally would outside of the pandemic. Other thoughts: The store was a little hard to find for a first-timer, but parking was easy. There were some interesting drinks, but I wish there were more completely lactose-free options. The pricing was pretty normal for a large drink (what I ordered) at boba shops around the Bay, at around $5.75. The verdict: Feng Cha is a pretty standard place. I probably won't return for a while just because it's way out of the way for me, but if you're in the area, it's a solid option to try. read more

Was intrigued to try this place since everything on the menu looks great. I ordered a strawberry blast with boba and it was okay. Considering all the great reviews, I was expecting great tasting bubble tea. The chiffon cake was amazing! It was light, fluffy and not too sweet. Indoor dining is allowed however it looks like restrooms aren't available for customers. It would only make sense for customers to be able to use the bathroom instead of having to go to another business in order to do so. I'm sorry, but this place was very disappointing. I'm an avid tea drinker. We have been to Taiwan and I love milk tea, jasmine green tea with foam, etc. We have been to many, many of the tea places in the Bay Area and have several favorites. This is not one. We got three drinks. I got hot jasmine green with taro foam and my siblings got the strawberry drink with lychee added and the classic boba milk tea. It was really, really awful. I am sorry to post this review, but I think people should know the truth. The reviews are what made me want to visit. The strawberry drink was sour, my sister told me the strawberry bits were very hard and sour. My brother said the classic boba milk tea didn't have any sweetness although we ordered it regular with no adjustments. He drank less than half the drink. My drink was 0 sweet and hot. The cup was given to me 3/4 cup full even though I was charged extra for a hot drink. My fiancé asked them to please fill the cup. They dumped hot tea on top of the taro foam I had paid $1.50 extra for so the foam was now non existent. The drink was around $5 and extremely unsatisfying. I drank only half and got a headache. This place is fairly new I believe. It shares a space with a chinese fast food place so space is a bit limited I think Feng Cha has a total of like 4 tables.. The people took my order was super nice. Before going, I heard that they were best for fruit teas, so a fruit tea is what I ordered. Also, if you check in on Yelp, you get a topping for free, so I ended up getting my drink with basil seeds. Aside from the one drink I tried, I really liked the layout of the place. There was a large seating area as well as loads of board games to play! I came here with my friends on their recommendation and loved everything about Feng Cha. Customer service is so nice and informing. Decor is amazing. This is my second visit to Feng Cha. I have to say, their dirty boba is my favorite, and it's addicting! It is milky, creamy, and foamy, however the tea flavor is subtle but I like it that way. I really like the decor of this shop, and it is decently spacious inside. It is a bit pricey compared to most boba shops. A large dirty boba was 6 dollars. Today I ordered their garlic calamari which comes with fries, and was pretty disappointed. I did not take a picture, but for $7, I got a small box with mostly bland fries, and about 8 small rings of calamari. The flavor was good, but I wish they could sell the calamari by itself, but it has to come with fries. I would not order that again. The sponge cakes are very moist, foamy, and not too sweet. I would get those again! Parking can be a little tricky to find. There is street parking, but it is usually full. There is a small public parking lot close to Feng Cha that you can find your way into. read more

Service, dessert, and boba all 10/10! We got the infamous dirty boba and the strawberry tea and they were the perfect amount of sweetness! (Without adjusting it). We also got 3 cakes: strawberry, matcha, and sea salt pearl. First of all, their service was great (in terms of at the kiosk and counter). When I was picking up the cakes, one of the workers accidentally knocked over my matcha cake in the container. It spilled a little bit, but nothing extremely noticeable (ie the aesthetic of the cake wasn't ruined) but the girl worker apologized and said she'd make me a new one! I told her it's okay, but she still went ahead and make a new one for me! The only reason I've giving 4 stars is the location is a little weird as its stuck between a trader joes and some other stores, and they also share the interior with a Chinese express food place. The cashier was very helpful and recommended the black tea with taro foam since i mentioned I wanted black tea. Good choice.....it was really good and flavorful. Overall, I enjoyed the drinks I got. I ordered a summer melon green tea with durian milk foam and aloe, and a strawberry overload with cheese milk foam. The durian milk foam was very interesting, but the flavor clashed with the summer melon drink. I think next time I try it, I'll get the durian milk foam with a less flavorful tea, like a green tea or something. The summer melon was really tasty, and I would get it again, minus the durian foam. The strawberry overload with cheese milk foam was alright, though a bit on the top sweet side for me personally. It does taste like strawberry cheesecake, as the cashier mentioned when I ordered. I was there with friend one Tue. afternoon and we ordered dirty Boba, Milk Foam tea, two milk foam cakes. Cashier was very nice, give us extra cup of milk foam to try. I like these milk foam which tastes really good come with drinks and cakes together. From flavor of drink/desert itself, display to packaging, store environment I think the price is fair and it's good place for friends even business meeting.
