Walking downtown San Francisco is quite the experience. When there is a conference in San Francisco Moscone Center you will see visitors from all around the world. I usually would know most of the best places to enjoy food or a drink. I have attended the annual RSA ( stands for Rivest-Shamir-Adleman) Conference for years and recently notice a place which replace Papa Beards which has baked goods which were flakey like some in SF. This replacement is a new place to grab boba on Yerba Buena lane next to Mission street between the San Francisco Marriott Marquis and the Four Seasons Hotel. It's called Feng Cha I decided to give it a whirl. On a Spring stroll in downtown San Francisco I ran into a new to me boba spot called Feng Cha. Inside I immediately knew what I wanted to drink. Usually Don Juan de la Matcha would order and do the matcha and sometimes the mango tango but this time I decided to get dirty. So I selected the dirty boba and it was tasty. The Bobatender made it not too sweet and it was so delicious .Great place to be planted if you're visiting , a local , or a transplant to enjoy a cold dirty one ( Dirty Boba). San Francisco had a conference in late March with over 40,000 in attendance a "day "who "pay" to a conference at Moscone called the "RSA" but you can enjoy boba with flavors of matcha, mango, and "Crème Brûlée" Going to the RSA conference cybersecurity needs will only increase and won't be "easing "especially if there is "treason" or cyberattacks for any type or any "reason" but you can always enjoy a Dirty Boba in SF at Feng Cha between the Marriott Marquis and the "Four Season"

Generous amount of topping given which I love. Drink made quickly and good flavors. I really like topping here for a quick drink!

So-so tea with nice boba. I'm glad it's open late (8pm). I finally got to try Feng Cha after it being open for about a year now. Fairly small spot, but still enough space inside for seating (some with power outlets!) and probably large enough for two groups of people to hang out comfortably in. Two touchscreen order kiosks are inside. The menu has a good selection of drinks, both fruity and more milk based. There's also some alternative milks available for the drinks too. I got a creme brulee dirty boba. The menu says "lactose friendly milk" but if you really want to be lactose free, you'll have to select the option to not have the creme top added (nestled in the options). I got mine with the creme top. Good boba, with nice chew. Just so-so on the tea flavor. The lid is very nice with one of those plastic tags which you can use to reseal the top if you need to, which I used to stash my drink back into my bag before riding rush hour MUNI. Nice spot! I'll come back to try the small dessert menu here sometime since there's not many locations for desserts here which are also open until 8pm

Kiwi, basil and Bursting Dragon Fruit

This was my first time at this particular Boba spot and I was rather impressed with their fruit tea selections. We just went through the whole museum down the street and we were rather thirsty so this was the perfect way to quench our thirst on the way back to the car. You ordered on a kiosk and there were people available for questions, but the kiosk was rather simple. Drinks came out really fast and I loved both the drinks we got! We got the bursting dragon fruit, and kiwi, basil, green tea! Perhaps I was rather thirsty, but the kiwi basil, green tea was the perfect amount of citrus with a zesty basil that I needed for my system! The dragon fruit was perfectly sweet, but not too sweet yet I dislike sour things, especially when I'm thirsty. I'm a big fan of Yuzu lemon and Kalamansi. There weren't many chairs or tables here, which is why I didn't take any pictures since there were people already sitting in them. But there was a rather long bench seat along the side of the window. We sat there as we waited for our drinks. Sweet little spot and I wouldn't mind going back again or getting another/different tea.

On Saturday, I visited Feng Cha for the first time, as it is a chain store. I ordered a Creme Brulee Dirty Boba and a Coconut Latte to go. The Creme Brulee Dirty Boba was excellent; the creamy cheese foam complemented the caramelized sugar pieces beautifully. Although I couldn't enjoy the boba itself due to an issue with the straw size, I would definitely order this again. My mother also thoroughly enjoyed her Coconut Latte. Overall, a positive experience, and I look forward to returning. The space is very open and modern and has nice lighting. The guy behind the counter was very helpful and a one man show that day.

    Mango Fantasy

Recently tried the Mango Fantasy with oat milk at 0% sugar and it was so good! As someone who doesn't like overly sweet drinks, this was perfect. I loved how creamy and tart the mango flavor came through. The shop had such an airy vibe; perfect for escaping the heat for a bit. I'm looking forward to trying more drinks here in the future!

I came to this place, not realizing that it was the same place. I had been to in Austin so I ended up going with the crème brûlée dirty Boba. Of course I got my sweetness lower , which meant that they put less of the sugar syrup the Boba was really soft and chewy. I loved it. You order on a kiosk. It's really quick and easy. It's a small little shop. There is some seating area inside and outside.

Really nice interior, tasty drinks, great service! I came here after dinner one evening and the place was decently busy, but they had ample seating so it was easy to just sit and enjoy my drink. My order was prepared pretty quickly and tasted great - loved the tea flavor and the boba was solid. I'd love to return in the future if in the area again to try more flavors.

I was at a work and was craving some boba, so found Feng Cha nearby. Whenever I get boba milk tea, I look for a nice tea flavor, creaminess, and boba that's sweet and soft. I ordered a Thai tea boba, regular sugar, light ice - it was good, but not great. There wasn't enough tea flavor and it wasn't creamy enough, but at least the boba was nice and chewy.

Feng Cha | San Mateo 1. Taro milk tea with boba 2. Milk tea with cheese foam 3. Strawberry overload 4. Cookies & cream milk tea I recently stopped by Feng Cha in SF. It's your typical boba spot, offering a wide variety of drinks--from milk teas and flavored teas to blended drinks. I was fortunate enough to try a few, and I ended up going with the Taro Milk Tea. It was alright, nothing too crazy. But if you're looking to try a new boba spot, this is your place.

Have gone to the Feng Cha in Berkeley multiple times so I decided to try out this location. Ordered online -- they don't call out names if you order online so you just have to keep watch. I got an ube matcha latte and dark roast oolong tea. Both drinks were pretty mid, wouldn't order either again. Ube Matcha latte disappointed because it did neither flavor well. Oolong tea didn't really have a strong flavor. I think with the amount of boba shops around the area, I probably wouldn't come here unless in a total pinch.

Ambiance: it's a corner spot tea place, located across the street from the Yerba Buena Gardens Service: very friendly and patient with questions, although still made mistake Drink: plenty choices for boba tea and fruit tea DIRTY BOBA - *** purely milk, overly sweet CRÈME BRULEE DIRTY BOBA TEA - **** one of their signature drinks, choice of black tea, less ice and half sugar, the crunchy cream topping was great, boba was freshly made, recommend Price: the quality was okay, although it's still steep for the quality, expect $7+ per drink

Great boba shop. Got the brown sugar boba at 25% sweetness. Wonderful absolutely wonderful. Got the match cake and it is almost like a tres leche with the matcha pudding poured over a light angel food cake. It was good but I won't get again. Prices are high but this is downtown San Francisco so it is expected. Seating in and out with lots of options.

I'm always hunting for spots like this because I have a weakness for those over-the-top, Instagram-worthy desserts that look like diabetes in a dish. Like most places in this genre, A Buttercup is small, modern, and minimalist with limited seating. If you plan to go, aim for off-hours unless you enjoy waiting in line for sugar. The decor is cute and trendy, perfect for photos if that's part of your dessert ritual. As they say, "you eat with your eyes first," and when it comes to presentation, this place definitely gets an A+. The desserts look stunning and set high expectations. Unfortunately, that's where things started to crumble. It's like going to see your favorite artist live. You've watched the videos, memorized the songs, and paid for the experience. But instead of the electric performance you imagined, you get someone lip-syncing and barely connecting with the crowd. That was this place in dessert form. We ordered the Mango Bingsoo on our first visit, and when it arrived, we were surprised by how small the portion was. The guy next to us even looked over and said, "Whatever that is, I'm getting that next time." He shouldn't have. The Bingsoo looked great but was bland, and the "snow" was more chunky ice than soft shave. The Thai Tea Roti was also not what I expected. It came with Thai tea ice cream and sauce alongside a roti that was fried to a crunch. Interesting idea, just not the best execution. The sauce and ice cream needed a stronger Thai tea flavor to balance the crispy roti, and the flavors never quite came together. Overall, A Buttercup nails the aesthetics but misses the flavor. If you're here for the photos, you'll be happy. If you're here for the taste, you'll leave with a full camera roll and an unsatisfied sweet tooth.

We came for a factory tour, about an hour long. It was fascinating and educational to learn about the craft of chocolates from fruit to beans to the chocolate bar, and to get to chocolate taste along the way. Their work is inspiring-adding minimal ingredients to their chocolate bars so that the flavors of the cacao beans shine naturally from where they originate. After the tour, we tried the hojicha hot chocolate, the celebration cake, and the matcha cookie. For the hojicha hot chocolate, the tea flavor was subtle, but good chocolate. The celebration cake was what we expected-glad it wasn't overly sweet so that cocoa is more pronounced, but it also wasn't too rich; I felt the chocolate here in some sense lacked depth. The matcha cookie was my favorite-a cake texture matcha exterior encasing a denser brownie-like chocolate core - a delicious combo! Last thoughts to prep for the experience if you tour- 1.) Eat before you go on the tour-sampling chocolate means you do get caffeinated, and you'll likely purchase more chocolate (more caffeine!) after :) 2.) Included with the tour is a complimentary chocolate drink of choice at the end, in case you were pondering whether to buy the hot chocolate or not ;) 3.) Dandelion Chocolate products are pricey but quality. Paying the price feels like it's appreciation of their art. If you love chocolate, it's a wonderful place to visit at least once!

They open late in the day and I am not here at those times until my event at the rooftop restaurant was about a block and half away on a sunny Sunday afternoon. I found the line to be wrapped around the store in the corner. Ice cream still tastes creamy and unique flavors are lovely. With two sold out flavors I decided to go with matcha Oreo and classic Vanilla Lilikoi which is Tahitian Vanilla with passion fruit which was the best flavor (most popular one - just look at the tub as most people ordered it. I would normally order the ice cream in a cup to get a better ratio of ice cream. But I decided I hadn't had a cake cone in years, so I went for that cone. It was like going back to my childhood eating ice cream with my parents. Yup this place still lives up to its name as ice cream is creamy and unique bold flavors are the draw as they make their own flavors and use fresh ingredients with 100% grass-fed, organic dairy from local Petaluma family farms. They also make a super creamy line of coconut-based vegan sorbet - sweetened with agave nectar, for a non-dairy alternative. Their tea are from Japan and Asian countries which is why the matcha ice cream tastes good. They also l pasteurize their bases. Then they slow churn each flavor with virtually no incorporation of air which creates the smooth textures and authentic flavors of the regions. Ice cream was yummy in my tummy and it gives me an excuse to hang out more down in this area for great ice creams The Mission has a number of excellent ice cream, all different in their own ways. In the old days they used to have Chimney Cone in 2017 but I never had a chance to try it. I am sure it tasted good, but it must have been labor intensive and they are a small shop. But their main selling point is focusing on the ice cream unique flavors that rotate.

Delicious, and this place blew my mind when I tried it out…read more First off, very surprised at all the flavors you can get and try, including horchata, Thai tea, and ube! To be honest, when I came here, I did not expect much. I typically am not the type to get snow or anything icy, since it is not the first thing that comes to my mind when it comes to dessert, but I am so glad I got to experience this. When I came on a Wednesday night, it was not too busy, and my friend and I were able to get our food within 10 minutes. The spot itself is pretty small, with not a lot of seating, but some limited spots outside. I got the black sesame with condensed milk, and my friend got the mexican hot chocolate. What makes this place stand out so much is the texture of the dessert, which was fluffy, soft, and melted in your mouth. Overall, I want to come here again and try the other flavors!

Stopped by on a Saturday evening and it wasn't busy. I got a regular size of the Cereal Killer…read morewhich was cereal snow topped with sweet milk glaze and fruity pebbles. I loved this so much, it had such a fantastic texture of being creamy but also light and fluffy. Probably one of the best shaved snow texture I've had. Tried some of the matcha snow and earl grey snow as well, and both of them were solid too. My favorite was still the cereal snow because I have more of a sweet tooth and the matcha and earl grey were less sweet. I would absolutely return to try more snow flavors! Service was really friendly and our 3 bowls were ready within a few minutes. Only one small bench inside and some outdoor seating.
