I really like the milk tea here, and it has enough tea taste. The brown sugar boba is a great combination with the milk tea, but the middle is a little hard. I came here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and Feng Cha was busy but efficient. I saw a few people picking up drinks and the staff handled everything in an orderly fashion before helping me with a question in a quick and friendly way. I had a Strawberry Overload with sparkling water subbed for tea and it was delicious and refreshing - reminded me of an Italian soda but much more fresh with the real strawberry inclusions. Feng Cha's fruit teas all seem to have this option of subbing sparkling water for tea, effectively making the drink a decaf - this is a simple but smart idea because there usually aren't any good decaf options at boba tea places. It's called Feng Cha I decided to give it a whirl. On a Spring stroll in downtown San Francisco I ran into a new to me boba spot called Feng Cha. Inside I immediately knew what I wanted to drink. Usually Don Juan de la Matcha would order and do the matcha and sometimes the mango tango but this time I decided to get dirty. So I selected the dirty boba and it was tasty. My only complaint is that it is not a Teahouse in the traditional and calm sit down type of place for hot tea that you might think of. So-so tea with nice boba. I'm glad it's open late (8pm). I finally got to try Feng Cha after it being open for about a year now. Fairly small spot, but still enough space inside for seating (some with power outlets!) and probably large enough for two groups of people to hang out comfortably in. Two touchscreen order kiosks are inside. The menu has a good selection of drinks, both fruity and more milk based. There's also some alternative milks available for the drinks too. I got a creme brulee dirty boba. The menu says "lactose friendly milk" but if you really want to be lactose free, you'll have to select the option to not have the creme top added (nestled in the options). I got mine with the creme top. Good boba, with nice chew. Just so-so on the tea flavor. The lid is very nice with one of those plastic tags which you can use to reseal the top if you need to, which I used to stash my drink back into my bag before riding rush hour MUNI. Nice spot! I'll come back to try the small dessert menu here sometime since there's not many locations for desserts here which are also open until 8pm read more

This was my first time at this particular Boba spot and I was rather impressed with their fruit tea selections. We just went through the whole museum down the street and we were rather thirsty so this was the perfect way to quench our thirst on the way back to the car. You ordered on a kiosk and there were people available for questions, but the kiosk was rather simple. Drinks came out really fast and I loved both the drinks we got! We got the bursting dragon fruit, and kiwi, basil, green tea! Perhaps I was rather thirsty, but the kiwi basil, green tea was the perfect amount of citrus with a zesty basil that I needed for my system! The dragon fruit was perfectly sweet, but not too sweet yet I dislike sour things, especially when I'm thirsty. I'm a big fan of Yuzu lemon and Kalamansi. There weren't many chairs or tables here, which is why I didn't take any pictures since there were people already sitting in them. But there was a rather long bench seat along the side of the window. On Saturday, I visited Feng Cha for the first time, as it is a chain store. I ordered a Creme Brulee Dirty Boba and a Coconut Latte to go. The Creme Brulee Dirty Boba was excellent; the creamy cheese foam complemented the caramelized sugar pieces beautifully. Although I couldn't enjoy the boba itself due to an issue with the straw size, I would definitely order this again. My mother also thoroughly enjoyed her Coconut Latte. Overall, a positive experience, and I look forward to returning.The space is very open and modern and has nice lighting. A lot of their drinks look very refreshing and that was definitely what I was going for. Ordered the Summer Melon drink and the drink came out pretty quickly! It was a good size and the cup is pretty sturdy (I'm sure if you wanted to wash it out and reuse it, you could). The space itself had a couple of people sitting around reading and building legos but it's on a quiet corner of the alley so there wasn't a lot of foot traffic. Its name and its ancient heaven earth picture logo looked watered down compared to By Me Boba Tea in Ross Alley. Feng Cha's wooden interior, however, looked exquisite enough to say it's fancy. Customization was one of the best features I cling for the most in Feng Cha Teahouse. Mustn't be fooled by the artwork that shows off one of the specials. By the end of the day, I only ordered what's written. Take jasmine fruit tea for instance, it's always fatigue green when I actually see it. Matcha, on the other hand, is definitely green; the different shades of this fine tea powder depends on how long it was oxidized. Maybe I ought to swing by again to see if there are any specials outside the menu. Customer service was fair, to say the very least. Still, the Asian staff must remember to buy tongs next time so that she can easily pick up a pair of matcha Pocky sticks. read more

Apparently for their official grand opening day 4/20/2024 had a mishap where the location didn't even know their time of their grand opening. We were delayed for 45 minutes! I know there were a lot of upset customers here for the buy one and get one free weekend. Some of us were not able to make it as they had other appointments to attend to on this perfect sunny, Saturday. I am not a major fan of Boba and I always wonder why people love this stuff so much. But I think it depends what company makes it. My first experience with Boba drinks was many years ago that almost killed me literally as the hard, boba ball got stuck in my windpipe. By luck I got it out miraculously, gotta thank God for that. Anyway, for that 45-1 hour wait, I had nice people around me to make conversations. I was given two tickets one is a raffle ticket and one was to get a free cake item. I wasn't able to get a free cake item that day and instead got 2 drinks. I had the dirty boba and a fruit summer drink limited edition that day. I brought both home to share with a friend and we both enjoyed the drinks. I still have been meaning to go back and use my ticket to try one of the yummy cakes they serve. I still can't decide which one to get.
