Tried out this new bubble tea spot in downtown SF and had high hopes for it. Unfortunately I felt that the pearls were nice and chewy but the milk tea base was disappointing for me. Jasmine green milk tea is always my go-to at every bubble tea shop but the tea flavor wasn't strong or fragrant enough in this drink, and it tasted quite milky / diluted too. However I have read reviews that their other non milk tea drinks are good and would be keen to try them another time! read more

I returned on a Thursday night at 7:45pm and was happy to see they were still open and taking in customers who came in slightly after 8pm when they were supposed to be closed. There were at least 2-3 staffs making the drinks. This time I ordered the taro breeze and matcha breeze both 75% sweetness with crystal boba. They told me they had ran out of regular boba which was fine. I initially wanted to try the purple reign but they were also out of grape. I will have to try that on my return visit and next time request it to be 50% sweet. I do like the flavors of both and I like their foam topping too. Came here on a weekday afternoon. They were packed. Before I could even order the overwhelmed staff member said that the drinks would take at least 20 minutes. When I said it was fine, she took awhile to take my drink order. When I ordered, I asked for the Wi-Fi password and the bathroom code. She gave me the bathroom code and then said that she couldn't give me the Wi-Fi code then since she had to look for the password and she was busy. After 20 minutes of waiting for my drink, I heard them tell a customer that they ran out of boba. So I went to the register and asked for a refund since I had ordered boba in my drink. I sat there for about 30 minutes doing some work when a staff member came and gave me the Wi-Fi. Then I decided I would try another order once they finished making the boba after 20 minutes. I waited another 20 minutes for my drink. Overall I don't blame the staff one bit. They had so many orders and are clearly busy but there was not enough staff members making the drinks. They should hire more people, period, as the overwhelmed staff should not have to work that fast with that many drink orders. The kiwi basil seed boba is good - fresh, good flavors, and sweetness as requested. But they need to work on their operations. read more

My family ordered 4 drinks. Out of the 4 drinks, one was a hot drink. So I received my drink and went to one of the table and the cap of the drink got loose. The whole drink spilled all over my feet. This is a new tea place located in the former site of Beard Papa. It's a clean place and the bathroom is really nice but you need a code from the staff to use it. BBF tied the strawberry breeze with boba. I got the Thai tea. My tea was good. Not the same as what you'd get at Thai restaurants even tho it looks the same. It lacks the flavor of the spices found in a traditional Thai iced tea. BBF liked her strawberry breeze which was caffeine free. Many of the toppings are 75 cents on up, such as boba. There's no food served here. There is limited seating. You place your order at the iPad inside the store and wait for them to call or text you when your order is ready. On Yelp you can get 10% off if you check in, I missed that. They also have a special where you get 20% off first order if you scan the QR code on display near the counter and give your personal information. I've gone multiple times even though they are still in their soft opening and drinks have been fresh, consistent, and hits each time. The staff are really kind and the space is really bright. I highly recommend this place and really hope they do well cause this is such a great addition to the metreon/soma area! The shop was very minimal and cute, with spaces to sit and take pictures. Classic Black Milk Tea: 5/5 - I usually don't say this a lot, it was SO GOOD. Tea was strong with a roasted milky flavor. Boba was warm and chewy as well. Definitely will come back again for this. Honey Lemon black tea: 4/5 - Usually my goto fruit tea for something that is refreshing on a hot day. The boba is really good and I love how much options they have, but the service of the workers is so drastic it's crazy. One time there was this lady working I got my order and since it was just me with 4 drinks I asked for a tray. I did not expect to be greeted with such an attitude. When I asked she gave me a dirty look and with a huge groan and sigh she went under the counter to give me the tray. Another time was when the kiosk wouldn't give me the reward points, I asked the lady did it count towards my points, she didn't even bother to help me and said yea it did. I did not understand how it would count towards my rewards points as I didn't even put my phone number or anything. I felt the lady didn't care enough to help me. Came for bogo free on sunday for opening special. I got the jasmine green tea with taro foam with boba and jasmine green tea with matcha foam with boba. The boba was chewy and sweet , top tier boba. I got the drink 75% sugar which I thought was perfect. You still have the tea flavor without it being bitter. The taro foam was def my favorite. You could taste the taro flavor really well. The drinks come out to $7 each which is pricey but normal for sf boba. The service was fast and friendly and they even brought us cake samples while waiting in line.
