Steak palliard trifoliate (weekend early dinner menu)
    Kelly D.

I was in the area attending a cheese event at Murray's and wanted to find a place for dinner. Found Ferdi through the Seated app. I was glad that our timing was perfect to take advantage of the early dinner price fix menu that is even a better deal than restaurant week. 3 courses for $30! It even included steak without a surcharge. Mussels were a good size and arrived with all shells open. The white wine garlic and tomato broth had a steady garlic level that went well with the mussels themselves. The steak was a shell steak that was tender and seasoned perfectly. It was accompanied by a flavorful mix of shiitake mushrooms, peppers and roasted potatoes. The included dessert was a simple but satisfying scoop of vanilla gelato with sliced strawberries and a biscotti. The aperitivo happy hour was also in effect so I got an elderflower spritz that was sweet and refreshing. Service was excellent and not intrusive. I'll definitely return for another early dinner. The value is excellent for the quality and quantity of food that you get. They also take part in several cash back dining programs like upside, Frankie and blackbird which even brings more value to the meal.

We came to Ferdi on a whim on a Saturday night just walking around trying to find a spot for dinner. They were not super busy so thankfully we were able to walk in, it seems like there's not many italian places in the area you can go to without a reservation so I was happy to be seated. This place is very lowkey, no frills and it feels like you're at someone's house with the mismatched plates. Honestly I would say it reminded me of some local italian places in NJ. The chicken parm was good, it wasn't life changing but it did the job. The tiramisu was great, I would say dessert was a highlight for our group. They also offer a 10% student discount which is nice.

This is becoming my favorite Italian place in the city! The ambience is so nice and cozy. It makes you feel like you're in Italy. The prix fixe is a great option to try a bunch of different dishes and not have to look through the very extensive menu. The service is always amazing. All the staff is very friendly and they never rush you.

Service is incredible, everyone is attentive and nice. Food was great and the gelato for 2 is a fun experience. The lady who I assume is the manager was very sweet and made sure everything was perfect. Will be coming back!

Saw this place on social media and needed to try it out! It definitely did not disappoint. Normally when a place does bottomless drinks, I'll expect the food to just be okay, but the food was an amazing highlight! The pancakes were absolutely delicious, and we both got a side of the eggs that were fantastic. They do a 90-minute bottomless special that is top-tier (espresso martinis, Bellinis, or aperol spritzes). The staff is very attentive and kind, and the patio sits on a quiet street in the village with shade. Definitely a great place to check out!

Stopped by for an early dinner on a Sunday evening. They got us in right away as we were the only table for a quite a while. Service across the board was pretty decent. The restaurant is cozy and warm with some interesting design elements throughout that don't necessarily fit in. Sun - Thur, there's a 3 course prix fixe menu that we decided to try. I'm always a fan of trying many different items instead of going all in on one or two. However, the food was largely underwhelming. The appetizers are a bit hit and miss. The arancini were bland but the tomato sauce helped to complement. The stuffed mushrooms have a decent flavor but they're on the soggier side. For the entrees, the chicken Milanese was a small piece of breaded chicken under arugula, tomatoes, and mozzarella. The tuna livornese was possible one of the saltiest dishes I've ever had. Desert was certainly the highlight as the tiramisu was nicely balanced between cream, coffee, and lady fingers.

I used a pulsed voucher to enjoy a tasty brunch. The service was fast and friendly. The steak panini was hot and tasty and good portion.

Me and my wife and son traveled from the DMV Area to try the penne vodka, pasta, and the Alfredo , the food was amazing. You could taste the freshness in the pasta and the sauce. The ambience was lovely. The dining experience was amazing. We definitely will be back here. Keep up the exceptional service from the food to the customer service feels real Cozy ! Next time we're gonna try the gelato

This place has some outdoor seating right outside the restaurant that looks cozy. It was too hot and sunny for us so we went indoors. We were here really early so there wasn't alot of people which was nice. The staff was friendly and very attentive! Our waters would always be refilled. Our meal was delicious! You could tell the sauce was homemade and had a great taste. I wish my chicken parm was just a little crispier. The biscotti was soft but it has such a great almond/ hazelnut taste that I was ok with it. Btw, this was part of their early dinner 3 course prix fixe on Fri./ Sats at $30.00 per person not including tax, tip, drinks. You have to order before 5:30pm but well worth it. NOTE: Our meal was slightly delayed but we were ok w/ it. They had a cross contamination issue with something I am allergic to that they paid attention to. Great service, great meal!!! DEFINITELY coming back!

Nice people, long wait for food, and cold apps. Good salmon tho :) Maybe we arrived at a weird time but...

This time it was very good. No idea what happened last time. Didn't plan to return but forgot I had gone here and glad I did. This time the Capellini Frutta Di Mare was excellent and loved the tableside ice cream. No idea if the first time was just bad luck or the items I ordered were bad or new management or what but now I definitely recommend these items! The meatballs also were good. Very nice and fast service. Quiet too.

    Frutta di Mare
    Cyrus A.

Ferdi was okay, nothing jumped off the table as particularly noteworthy. The frutta di mare tasted almost like it was microwaved, with a collection of seasoning that tasted like a few standalone flavors, rather than a cohesive dish. The rigatoni was better, but again, wasn't particularly memorable. The experience was fine, just not what I was hoping for based on the high Yelp score.

The menu has plenty of variety across pastas, seafood, and cocktails, with some unique dishes that made the experience memorable. The drinks were a highlight, and the seafood options stood out the most for me. My Tipsy Tayke: The Fragola Fizz was juicy, fruity, and refreshing. The Forever Summer was another standout, with the smokiness of the mezcal blending really well with the fruit flavors without overpowering them. Both are easy recommendations depending on whether you want something fruity or a little more complex. My Taysty Tayke: Get Down & Dirty, Expeditiously: Seafood Ravioli Unique, flavorful, and packed with different seafood flavors. The ravioli itself was delicate and had a tendency to fall apart, but the flavor made up for it. Standout: Calamari Crispy, seasoned, and enjoyable. It had a slightly chewy texture, but I still found myself going back for more. The Carpaccio wasn't necessarily for me texture-wise, but I really enjoyed the greens and dressing that accompanied it. The garnish felt intentional and helped bring the dish together. The Pappardelle came with plenty of sauce but could have used more flavor overall. The complimentary bread was also tougher and chewier than I prefer. Desserts: The Lemon Sorbet was easily my favorite dessert. Bright, refreshing, and packed with real lemon flavor. The Mango Sorbet was another refreshing option with a smooth tropical sweetness. The Panna Cotta Cheesecake leaned closer to a mousse in texture and was definitely on the sweeter side. I especially enjoyed it with the cherry, which helped balance everything out. Service: Warm and attentive throughout the meal, fitting the inviting atmosphere. Plates From My Visit: Calamari Carpaccio Seafood Ravioli Pappardelle Lemon Sorbet Mango Sorbet Panna Cotta Cheesecake Fragola Fizz Forever Summer In Conclusion: A warm Chelsea Italian spot with strong cocktails, unique seafood dishes, and refreshing desserts. The Seafood Ravioli was the highlight of the savory side, but whatever you do, save room for that Lemon Sorbet. Stamped by Elajas

Reviews were promising so I was excited to try the food. I ordered the fusilli pesto pasta with a side of the garlic broccoli rabe. My pasta dish came with a small burrata on top. Instinctively I took a piece of that in to my mouth first and was met with the most rancid tasting cheese ever. The cheese was definitely not fresh and had a terrible smell on the outside. I moved this to the side to try the pasta which was honestly forgettable. There simply was not enough basil pesto in the dish, the sauce fell flat on taste and seasoning was nearly absent. The side of broccoli rabe was also so bad and forgettable. The stems were tough to chew, there was no salt and not a single speck of garlic in this dish. This is one of the priciest, grossest plates of pasta and vegetables I have ever had in the city. My friend ordered the eggs Florentine and said it was A-okay. Service was good and food came out on time but honestly I would not dine here again. They really need to step up their food quality if they want to continue doing business in the city.

I acknowledged that the server doesn't write the menu, but absolutely zero customer service skills. The service overall was lacking. Aside from taking our order, no one checked on us or came back to see if we needed anything. Our server was just hanging out chatting up the hostess. We had to request the bill from the manager & paid at the hostess stand. Before paying, I spoke with the manager and explained what had occured. He was more professional than the server, but he was still dismissive of my concerns and of the service we received. Management seemed happy enough to promote the "option". The food was okay, definitely not enough to make up for the poor service and handling of a serious dietary issue. Needless to say I will not be returning.

The interior was completely packed, and the noise level was high enough for my smart watch to complain. To sample a bit of everything, we shared two orders of focaccia, four pastas, and one dessert. HOUSE-MADE FOCACCIA - 10 Super bouncy with a bit of chew, this was probably the best focaccia I've ever eaten. It came generously drizzled with olive oil and alongside chopped peppers drenched in even more olive oil, which added a nice little kick. We highly recommend starting with this. TAGLIATELLE - 27 Out of the four pastas, this was my absolute favorite. I love the thin yet chewy texture of the tagliatelle, and the bolognese sauce was rich and hearty. Finished with just the right amount of Parmigiano, both the pasta texture and sauce were sheer perfection. PICI 'CACIO E PEPE' - 23 This was such a simple pasta, yet so delicious. It was incredibly creamy and cheesy, with hints of fresh black pepper flavor that blew standard at-home black pepper grinders out of the water. Despite it being the simplest pasta of the night, I enjoyed it immensely. RIGATONI - 32 This pasta was simple yet slightly innovative, featuring sausage paired with a broccoli-based pesto. There was a slight bitterness that was polarizing among our group. While this wasn't my favorite pasta, I appreciated the creativity. PERCIATELLI NERO - 35 This dish packed in more components than just pasta and sauce: plenty of crab, tomatoes, and crispy breadcrumbs on top. However, the combination wasn't very memorable. None of the flavors really stood out, and it was my least favorite pasta of the night. OLIVE OIL CAKE - 14 Served with a pile of golden raisins and fancy whipped cream, this ended up being a bit of a miss. The raisins were a bit too sweet, and the cake's texture was uneven -- some bites were soft and moist, while others felt dry. A couple of others in my group also felt the same way. Overall, I'd give L'Artusi a 4.5/5; it was mostly hits with a couple of misses. The pasta portions are quite small. Since each dish is primarily carbs and sauce, I'd imagine you'll likely need an appetizer or a pasta and a half to leave full. Still, I'd definitely come back for the focaccia, tagliatelle, and the cacio e pepe.
