Both my son and I had the same entrée, the lamb gyro. Really delicious and very generous size. Too generous,probably. We could've probably shared one and maybe include some appetizer. We live in Bay Ridge Brookly and have tried 2 of the Greek restaurants in our neighborhood after trying The Chicken Gyro platter at Fetta Rebublic in Aventura. Let me tell you it does not compare! The food is amazing! The Greek salad with the tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, fetta and red onions is off the charts. So fresh and tasty! Lemon potatoes are very tasty as well. We ended up going back a second time on our vacation and it did not disappoint. I tried the Greek salad with chicken and it was refreshing and a great healthy option. I only gave it 4 stars because it's so expensive. The food quality is super fresh and the taste is fantastic. I got the gyro platter and my boss got the falafel. We both loved it. The side Greek salad was awesome they just forgot my dressing on the delivery.. which was a bummer. I ordered the gyro platter with fries. It's a TON of food! The fries are a bit soft but very very flavorful. I love the meat and tzatziki sauce, both are very fresh. First time and I might give them a second chance. Service was bad and I think the owners wife took our order. We never got refills on our waters. When one of us asked for a refill on ice tea, it was served with no ice at all. (Room temp.). The beef skewer was over peppered and light on the veggies. Rice $4.00 for a spoon of rice and they never sent me the white sauce which basically is like ordering pizza and they forget the tomato sauce. My husband and I live down the street in Aventura, and were very unhappy with our experience here. We loooove Greek food, and were looking forward to finding our new neighborhood Greek restaurant. The food was just okay, and it was highly overpriced. The Greek salad I got with salmon on top was the highest I've ever paid for a Greek salad. We had to ask for more olives and feta cheese in the salad as the portion was minimal. The salad was small, the salmon piece tiny. My husband got a gyro platter. The portion was okay, but again highly over priced. We both also needed to ask for Greek sauces on the side because the proteins would have been bland with out it. Try Kale salad. Kale is a great source of protein but it is not easy to make it taste really good. I had it is both Light point House and Aventura locations and it taste so good: great mix of ingredients. I am glad they opened in Aventura. So disappointed with my experience with Fetta Republic ordering a take out order through Postmates. We put the order in around 8:30p and an hour and a half later there was still no update on the food. We let it slide because we figured it was Friday night and it was busy? But we decide to call them to get an update and ETA for our food and they told us our food would be ready in another 10 min.... 20 min go by and still no update so we call again and they tell us the food is not ready yet. At this point we asked to speak with a manager so they passed the phone to the owner who is also the chef apparently? And he literally cursed us out (I was shook, never experienced this) for bothering him while he was cooking the food. So tragic. We decided to cancel the order because we wouldn't put it past this man(chef/owner?)to spit in our food when all we were looking for was an explanation for the delay. Also not in the mood to put our money in a business that treats customers that way. No thanks. So unfortunate to have had this experience and negativity in a moment when we should all be kinder to each other while we go through this crazy experience of being in the middle of a pandemic. read more
