So disappointed with my experience with Fetta Republic ordering a take out order through Postmates. We put the order in around 8:30p and an hour and a half later there was still no update on the food. We let it slide because we figured it was Friday night and it was busy? But we decide to call them to get an update and ETA for our food and they told us our food would be ready in another 10 min.... 20 min go by and still no update so we call again and they tell us the food is not ready yet. At this point we asked to speak with a manager so they passed the phone to the owner who is also the chef apparently? And he literally cursed us out (I was shook, never experienced this) for bothering him while he was cooking the food. So tragic. We decided to cancel the order because we wouldn't put it past this man(chef/owner?)to spit in our food when all we were looking for was an explanation for the delay. Also not in the mood to put our money in a business that treats customers that way. No thanks. So unfortunate to have had this experience and negativity in a moment when we should all be kinder to each other while we go through this crazy experience of being in the middle of a pandemic. read more

This place is one of the best additions to Aventura. Fresh authentic Greek food for a price that is not too exorbitant. The dips are a must to start. The octopus is delicious. I went here yesterday for lunch. The food is amazing. I started out with the Tzatziki, with a light citrus flavor, it was incredible served with warm pita bread and a light olive oil. I then had the mediterranean burger cooked to perfection with arugula, tomato's and feta cheese, topped with Pita bread. Wow is all I can say. The service was the highlight of my visit. I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened and have referred many people there. Now I'm telling people not to come. It was raining and my husband went to pick up our order. My shrimp platter had few shrimp and maybe a handful of orzo for $25.00. I spoke with manAger who said next time I'll give u more orzo. This was definitely not worth the money. Not customer friendly. The first few times eating here I thought the food was ok..But I ordered a few times in a row now where the food was not up to par. Chicken looked either semi raw or dry and brown! I got massive stomach issues afterwards, which caused horrible diarrhea. But let's put the food aside, I don't ever want to go back because of customer service. They have rude servers, dry and completely unfriendly. Never looking to make customers happy! And the manager/owner is horrible with people! He doesn't deserve to even have a restaurant! You might wanna consider sharing a platter instead of ordering two platters. Just ordered Uber Eats and I must tell you , one of the best gyros and Greek salad I ever had . Very fresh and full of flavor and good portions the were very generous on the Fetta and the Fetta was not your regular it was tasted exactly like in Athens. The lamb gyro pita wrap with Greek salad was outstanding. The pita itself was perfect - just the right thickness, too. Proportions of meat, onions, tomatoes and sauce were on point. The gyro was wrapped up neatly with paper and foil that can be peeled back easily while eating to minimize the mess. We got there just as they opened on a Sunday, and several other groups soon followed us in. Service was snappy. Very disappointing experience here. We ordered takeout. The menu says the chicken souvlaki platter comes with salad, but there was none in the bag. The fries were soggy and burnt, and the chicken was over cooked. The only positive was the decor- the place is nicely decorated and seems clean, but we won't return given how unappetizing the food was. --- I appreciate the reply below from the business owner. We just had a great late dinner. Walked in at 9pm plenty of seating & the service was wonderful. Considering they close at 10pm the food was very fresh. I had the falafel pita & it was very good. Stuffed with many nice sized falafel & all the fixings. Choice of salad or fries & I chose the fries cause I wanted to splurge. Do you ever wonder why both restaurants right near you are always busy? They have a lunch menu and their prices are reasonable. I can not substantiate paying your high prices for mediocre food especially at lunch. Go over to Greek island Taverna on A 1a and Oakland Park Blvd in Ft Lauderdale. This is the best Greek restaurant in the state and you need to emulate them especially with their quality and pricing. I totally agree with some of the other reviews, about the creepy old guy with the sour face - he stood there staring the whole time we were there - either inside, or with his face pressed against the window when he was outside smoking. Cute and modern place, dirty bathroom, long wait time (there was only one other customer) and way overpriced for 2 chicken gyro wraps which came with a Greek side salad. In my opinion this place is hidden, I've driven thru this strip mall a bunch of times and never noticed it... But someone we know had eaten here and told us about it, and thank god, cause now I've been here twice and it's so good. The avegolemono soup is so tasty. It is my absolute fave thing. The zucchini chips were really good and the chicken souvlaki also. but the platter with the gyro meat was extra tasty. I enjoyed the whole meal both times.
