The service was great, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was absolutely delicious. The restaurant offers Turkish and Greek-inspired Mediterranean cuisine, featuring grilled meats, fresh seafood, and handmade mezze. We started with drinks a Cosmo and a Mango Margarita.the Char-Grilled Octopus as an appetizer, and it was delicious! For our main course, we shared the Mixed Grill, which included lamb chops, meat patties, chicken, and Adana, served with grilled vegetables and Orzo Pilav. Everything was flavorful, tender, and perfectly prepared. We also had the Lahmacun, topped with ground meat and finely chopped vegetables--so delicious and full of flavor! Of course, we had to finish with dessert! The Kazandibi was silky and creamy, with a beautiful caramelized base and delicate hints of mastic and rose water. The perfect way to end our meal! Delicious, delicious, delicious. A great hidden gem in Hallandale Alacati is the kind of Mediterranean food you hope for with such a striving middle eastern population around. The falafel is amazing, the babaganush is divine. And they even give you free bread with your meal! I absolutely love the decoration here, it really makes you feel like you are in a middle eastern restaurant and they even have little trinkets you can buy as well. The wait staff is also the best, there was a very large party in the restaurant but they made sure to still spend time and attention with us even though they were understaffed. We came here to celebrate my friend's birthday. Alacati never disappoints. The service from Hasan is always exceptional. He really went above and beyond tonight and made sure to sing Happy Birthday. He really made us feel welcomed. The space is very comfortable. They have big tables for large parties/families without being crowded. The seating is comfy. It is always clean, and I love the many Turkish lamps throughout the restaurant. Tonight, we had the falafel, saksuka, lahmacun (my favorite), kofte, and Iskender kabob. All of it was very delicious. We enjoyed sitting outside on their patio. Girlfriend had branzino whole fish that was beautifully grilled, very tasty. I had the medium charred lamp chops. Plate had 4 nice sized chops, also wonderfully grilled. Tzadiki was OK and the tabouli, very good. I look forward to leftovers, 2 chops, and both sides. I'll try the bread then. This place was so great and authentic! It felt like we were back in Europe for our lunch. The food was wonderful and very flavorful, from the chicken shishkabob to the tiramisu dessert. My last experience before this one was definitely better. Just do yourself a favor if you want to try their lahmacun, to call 2 hours in advance. I have a feeling they fired the good ones in their staff and I think they were looking for another chef. Something was off about their soup -- it wasn't as bisque like last time. It felt like chicken soup with bits of lentil and that's it. I just wanted something light. The only good thing I ate was the bread while I was waiting. I would have given them another chance if the waiter wasn't unfriendly or ignored me while serving only two other tables. Ambiance? Well, it was late lunch, but not that crowded. I tried the shish kabob and my wife and kids had the Adana. It was the best shish kabob I had so far. The bread came out in small portions and we had to ask for more. Service was fast and friendly. Visited this NEW restaurant that's located inside the RK Diplomat plaza in Hallandale. The restaurant is clean, vibrant, very elegant and has a lot of space for groups. We tried a couple of dishes, the appetizer sampler was very unique and delicious but it feel like it was missing some type of bread, such as pita or lavash to be able to enjoy it. We also ordered a Mediterranean salad and the ingredients were fresh and had great quality. The cheese was excellent. Definitely enjoyed my gyro platter that was served with delicious french fries. This restaurant is new to the Hallendale are. I believe it just opened a few months ago. The location was clean and spacious with friendly staff. Came for lunch on the weekday. The menu does have a lot but could use a little tweaking. The man dishes all are gyro, lamb or steak with the exception of a chicken kabob. The price could be a little more economical on the chicken kabob dish or add a few other chicken alternatives. The Mediterranean salad was presented very well and full of flavor. There was a good range of olives, tomatoes and cheese. It sold itself as other patrons saw it and wanted the salad as it came by! The appetizer sampler could use a little tweak. It's 4 different things that come in small ramekins and spoons. For the record there is table bread served with dipping sauce on seating. I just used some of that. I would come back for dinner. We had a lovely lunch experience here. We like Turkish food and this did not disappoint. The restaurant is on the north side of Hallandale Beach Boulevard with ample parking out front in the large lot of the strip of stores here. Inside the restaurant is large, modern, and clean. They have only been open for two months. And they are getting better as time goes on. We started by sharing a saksuka appetizer. This is served cold. It's a refreshing mixture of eggplant, potatoes, zucchini, and peppers in a tomato sauce. Then we shared their adana kabob entree. The ground lamb meat is mixed with spices and served with a mound of bulgur wheat, a charred piece of tomato, and a hot pepper. It is presented without the skewer. The meat itself is not spicy, but beware of the pepper if you don't like heat. For dessert, we tried their kadaifi (it's spelled so many ways). We had some chai (Turkish tea), too. The dessert is made of a dough that has a shredded wheat-like consistency with ground pistachios and honey. A very sweet ending to a very sweet meal. They have outside seating and a large bar in the back, depending on your preference. I'm sure we will be back when next in the area. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Let's just say this restaurant ruined Valentine's Day for my wife and I. Their customer service was atrocious. You would think on one of the most celebrated holidays for their customers they would take care of them better and they just ignored us. The literal trash got more attention then we did. We placed our order with the waiter which was a Turkish appetizer and the Salmon. After 40 minutes of waiting and not seeing our waiter someone dropped off the Salmon for me and nothing for my wife. The waiter never visited our table to check on us. We tried getting the attention of other staff members to get our waiter and after 20 Minutes he finally arrived like we were ruining his night. When we confronted him about my wife's meal he said "I guess the kitchen forgot" and then proceeded with "Do you want the check with only the Salmon?" Sure let me pay for food we never ate. Let's just say if you want to torture a loved one or are ready to break up with your significant other this is the play to go. read more

I really enjoyed the Kunefe desert. Cheesy, sweet and crunchy with pistachios in it. Can't go wrong with it. A dish very hard to get in Miami and definitely way better than the one I make at home. The cheese pide was fun as well. Not only very cheesy but the inner section of the crust tasted very buttery like. Why no higher than 3 stars? Because I didn't enjoy my lamb shops and that is the first time I have said I didn't enjoy lamb shops. Ever. I usually suck the grease out of the bone but in this case I didn't finish them, neither I touched the mashed potatoes. My wife tried the lamb chops and didn't enjoy them either. The complementary bread was no bad but didn't do it for me. Other notes: very clean business and that is including the bathrooms. The place is spacious, has a bar area in the back, nice outdoor area as well and has a great overall atmosphere. Lots of colorful Mediterranean items. The restaurant has ample seating inside and a good amount of outdoor seating as well. It's decorated pretty moderately, nothing to write home about. The food: and the Bronzino was OK again nothing to write home about. The shrimp scampi, personally, I found it a bit salty: I would not order it again. The stuffed eggplant was good however not good enough to make me return after at the other subpar dishes. I did find a staff to be very friendly and the predominantly good part about my visit to this restaurant. I don't think I'll be back I just feel like there are better Greek restaurants with a better ambiance elsewhere. Maybe they have some special dishes I wasn't made aware of?
