The wife and I frequent downtown Naperville and are always looking for a new dining establishment to try. We decided to try Fiamme` on a Friday night. First off the young hostess is way under dressed. If she needs to keep pulling down her short tight skirt it is to short. We chose to sit outside where there where lots of tables open. It is a nice atmosphere inside and out. They did a good job in the build out from a gas station. On to the food. We ordered a bottle of wine and the Burrata antipasti. (Menu description) A traditional fresh mozzarella curd drizzled with olive oil and sea salt and served with marinated cherry tomato and crostini. Well when it came it was being served by a busboy who had no idea where he was bringing the food. We witness this happen to many tables around us. Why send a busboy to do the wait staff job. Our food was put on another table until the patrons said they did not order it and we had to flag the busboy down to say that was our order. The tomatoes where not marinated and there was hardly any olive oil drizzled over the mozzarella. We decided to cut our losses early and end with the antipasti and we would take our half bottle of wine and move on. When we asked to take the remainder of our wine with we were told they did not have the bags to take out. Management get with it. Some patrons may not finish all there wine. I am sure being open for over a month we are not the first to ask to take home our wine. We left a half bottle and a sour taste in our mouths. The waitress was good as she seemed to be overwhelmed with patrons. Seemed like there could have been another server on duty. read more

My wife and I had a great experience when we dined at Fiammé for the first time! While we waited for a table, we went to the bar for a drink. Patrick, one of the bartenders, recommended their mojitos. I ordered the blueberry, and my wife ordered the strawberry dragonfruit. Delicious! We got seated promptly, and our server Theo was very attentive. Since it was our first time visiting, Theo explained the menu and a little bit about the history of the restaurant. I didn't know their ovens cooked at almost 1000 degrees! We started with the Calamari which had a perfect amount of lemon vinaigrette dressing. Since we weren't too hungry, my wife and I decided to split a pizza. They are 12 inch pizzas, but that was enough to fill us up. We ordered the prosciutto and arugula pizza. I was a little skeptical about the combination, but Theo encouraged us to give it a try. It was delicious, and the crust was cooked perfectly. Not too doughy or well done. We couldn't even think about trying dessert, but we look forward to trying on a future visit. At the end of the night, the general manager, Preston, even stopped by our table to welcome us and give us some coupons. Fiammé is definitely worth trying, and we will be back! read more

Well, there's a lot of hype around this restaurant. I was glad to see a Rosebud competitor, with a decent wine list and ambiance, in Naperville. Our table ordered several burrata appetizers and a variety of pizzas and pastas as entrees. While everyone was generally happy with their food, a few things struck me as less than ideal 1. My cappriciosa pizza was soggy on parts, and while the flavors were yummy, the toppings were enormous. The mushrooms and artichoke hearts are so thick and large that it was hard to easily take a bite, and some of those topping flavors over-dominated. 2. Our server had absolutely no knowledge of the wine list and was unable to give a recommendation. 3. The bathroom was clean but all the soap/paper towels/ toilet paper were out of their holders, which wasn't very high end. 4. The prices were pretty steep, for all the above to still be present! So, eh, I probably won't be back. But I didn't hate it either! read more

Just amazing!!! My wife and I went out with the mother in law for a nice dinner. What we experienced was outstanding! The staff was super friendly and we were instantly seated and had some water brought to us. They had a variety of different beers and drinks in general. The food menu was very nicely put together. The food was just amazing. Pizza baked in a real brick oven. Made with fresh mozzarella and all fresh ingredients. The flavor and texture of the food was just mind blowing. The pasta was awesome also. Very flavorful!!! We were very well taken care of the whole time we were there and the food was better than great. We had an amazing time there and ended up staying for an hour and a half. The only down side was the parking around the place. You might have to walk a little, but totally worth it. And the music in the place was a tad bit too loud. But that is no reason for me to give it any less than 5 stars!!! read more

First time here and absolutely loved it. The cocktails were generous and made just right! We tried the Burrata appetizer which was fresh mozzarella curd with olive oil and marinated cherry tomatoes served with crostini. We also tried the daily appetizer (Winter Warmer) which had a delicious red sauce and cheese. There were six of us and two of us shared the Margherita pizza which was enough with the appetizers. I tasted the Chicken Parmesan which was delicious as well as the Parmesan Cream sauce which accompanied the Chicken Parmesan. We all tried each others and the Sausage Rigatoni was very good as well as the Shrimp Fraviovolo. Service was very good and we had a delightful server named Maddie. Considering I follow a strict gluten free diet, authentic pizza is hard to come by. At most restaurants I get poorly made, cracker-like pizza that leaves me feeling sick. Fiamme served me one of the best gluten-free pizza's I've had in a while. The crust was really good and not too thin. The mozzarella was obviously of higher quality and the sauce was perfectly spiced. I was so pleased with the pizza, the next week I came back to try the pasta! It was wonderful. My new favorite gluten-free restaurant. Also- the waiters (both times) were pleasant and completely understanding of the precautions with my dietary needs. We were craving a really good Margarita pizza and decided to try out this place. It was 3:30pm when we arrived for a super late lunch. Even though there were only two other customers at the restaurant, our server was so slow... We also had to ask a different server to fill our waters because he never made it around to our table to check on us. He also forgot to take off the "Sophia Grazia," the free dessert you get when checking into Yelp, from our check. The service was quite lacking to say the least. Luckily, the pizzas arrived promptly and were really tasty! Not the BEST wood-fired pizza I've ever had but this place was definitely worth trying out. read more

Fiamme is our go to place when we want pizza in Naperville. We have a bit of a routine: Moscow Mules, Diavolo Pizza (spicy sopressata, amazing crust, love the red sauce) and the fiamme house salad (arugula with a lemon vinaigrette- light and simple, but it hits the spot when I need to get my greens in). The service is usually pretty good- the regular faces are very nice. However the last time we were there, they seemed a little confused. It may have been because college has just begun in the area and they have new employees. Not a deterrent to us, but worth noting. read more

We gave these guys one last chance. Boy did we regret it. Pizza arrived like it came out of a fridge. Calamari was inedible and looked like it had freezer burn. Zero pesto sauce in the shrimp pesto. We threw the entire order out within two minutes of it arriving (I knew the minute the it was cold to the touch) and made grilled cheese for the family. Punked yet again for dinner by Fiammé. If they can't work out their delivery operations, then don't offer delivery. $80 bucks down the drain. Again. But never again after tonight. read more

Great place! I can't believe it took me so long to visit the place- went here with a couple of girlfriends. Once you find your way in there the atmosphere was nice and ya know, I did see that not everybody got great service here, but we were taken care of pretty well. Maybe it's because we were girls alone without guys- not sure. We got the white pizza and a regular cheese pizza and they were both fantastic, crispy crust and tasty sauce, just what I was looking for on a cold afternoon. I went to Fiamme for a work lunch and had a great meal. Our server was very friendly and helpful, ready with answers to any questions we had about the menu. I chose the roast beef and provolone sandwich for my lunch, which could have been a pretty staple and safe choice, but Fiamme made exceptional with their bread made to order, not to mention I have always been a fan of homemade chips. Loved my food, loved the atmosphere and have recommended it to several friends by word of mouth. read more

Came to Fiammé with my daughter...We are in LOVE with the Margareta pizza! Our server that day was Andrew...He was/is personable, attentive, smart, charismatic, perceptive, and downright HUMAN. He was/is knowledgeable about menu ingredients, various food presentations, and had a profound grasp of what we may like/dislike...great listener and took into account preferences which he picked up on quickly! I've been coming to this restaurant for 3 years and I have never been one to yelp-but I made an exception for this restaurant. The staff is friendly, charismatic, and provide speedy service. I LOVE what is happening with the concept. New management is really testing the waters with new menu items. I love the "Chef Features" rotating menu. It sounds a bit pretentious but lives up to the name. We eat here at least once a month but plan on coming back more frequently. Bravo Fiamme read more

My husband and I ate at this restaurant when they first opened. We sat outside and ordered one mushroom pizza. While my husband was eating the pizza he started to turn red all over his face and neck. He was having an allergic reaction. The doctor said that it was due to the mushrooms not being properly stored. When I told the manager of the restaurant they said they were sorry and offered us a gift card. We did not take the card and will never eat there again. read more

I'm not entirely sure why or how folks can give a bad review here. Thursday morning came in, one of five people here. The ladies were all attentive to me checking if things were good, and got everything I asked to the letter. Kinda kitschy cool atmosphere. I do see why some thought it was cramped, but I fit the booths fine, just enough room to eat and not spill all over myself! Good fare for the price, too. You can do way worse for way more expensive places! read more

This is the place for pizza! Holy Canoli! (no pun intended). The atmosphere is great, the pizza was spot on for Neopolitan style. Crispy crust, delicious cheese, and the staff was very welcoming and attentive. We even received a first time guest thank you bag from the manager. He was very knowledgeable and even sold us on the oil that they infuse in house. We love the calamari appetizer as well as the arincini. read more

Fresh food - awesome pizza - great staff. I come here often and bring people that have never been there before for a nice dinner and drinks. In a lot of restaurants, you leave feeling too full after a meal, but we load up on pasta and breads and desserts. Always come away from Fiamme satisfied and knowing we ate truly good food. Service is OUTSTANDING! Never had an empty glass, food was stupendous. It tasted fresh, was out fast, and every accommodation was met. The manager came to check on our table and tell us about the oils that they make in house-we bought a bottle of the chili! Parking is very tight but other than that the experience was fantastic. Had a really nice experience. Our waiter Liam was excellent and knew the menu well. We tried the specialty drinks "head in the clouds" and cucumber basil along with margarita pizza and chicken parmesan, all very tasty! Loved sitting outside in a very roomy booth and had a beautiful view of the Naperville neighborhood and gorgeous trees. We will be back! read more
