Very cool burger joint! We were driving down the street and saw it out of the corner of my eye... we decided to eat there (even before checking it on Yelp, which goes against my usual eating-out policies). Overall, very extensive menu with several different means - lamb, beef, chicken, bison, elk, etc... several sauces as well (ketchup, chipotle ketchup, bbq, different mayos and mustards). Also, different fries as well (sweet potato, garlic, etc.). So many options! I went with the BBQ Bacon Blue Ring Cheese Burger... so, bacon, BBQ sauce, onion ring, and blue cheese crumbles on a burger. Excellent! It was great... bacon was crisp, BBQ sauce was very tangy, onion ring was huge (nearly the size of the burger), and the blue cheese was very flavorful. The burger itself was perfectly cooked. The bun was a bit dry, but passable. The fries were very tasty... crisp and flavorful. The sauces are all quite good, although I coudn't really taste any chipotle in the chipotle ketchup. I didn't try any of them but they also have a tons of shakes that looked fantastic. Overall, very cool place, with great food and a great vibe. Will definitely be back!! read more

Last night we paid $60 for horrible service (tall thin male employee) and a very long wait for a take out order (I counted four people/groups that came in after us that got their food before we did....then when our food did come out from the kitchen the employees forgot that it was a To Go order and had it on regular trays...so it took even more time for them to fix that mistake). I've taken the family here several times over the last year. Each time the food has been ok at best. I thought the burgers were a bit on the small side for the price, but the burger buns are good (light and fluffy), my son said the hot dog was way too greasy. The problem is, every time we come in thinking the customer service will be better...we end up getting the same tall thin male employee or one of the other female employees that seems like they are hardly listening to us when we order and on multiple occasions messed up the order. Fiama Burger also uses a payment system that asks you if you want to leave a tip (and if so, what %), even for take out orders. My wife and I hate this system, because we always order take out and it's like extortion...if we don't put a tip amount, then who knows what's being done to our food. For a take out order we shouldn't have to leave a tip...we've already paid for the food. Bottom line, we've given this place multiple tries but we're done. read more

I have never really understood the hype surrounding Fiamma Burger. I came in here once because I had heard positive reviews, but I was not too impressed. The amount of burger you receive is not worth the steep price. Sure, the burger was delicious, but I would rather go somewhere else for a cheaper, bigger burger. After eating here, I had to go to another restaurant to satisfy my still raging appetite. The girl behind the counter did not seem too happy, either. I will not be back. read more

Not sure what the others are talking about when they say their burgers were bland. I highly suggest they give it another shot. My husband and I go to Fiamma Burger at least a couple of times a month and we LOVE IT! Best burger place ever (that I have been to anyways) I always get either the bacon burger (to die for) or the chicken burger (the bun is amazing). The fries are always delicious and fresh. So I have eaten and enjoyed Fiamma Burger's burgers, which I think are maybe the best in town. This was my first time having their breakfast. I ordered the pork and hatch hash, and after a short wait, I received a little casserole dish full of red potatoes, onions, and topped with two fried eggs. The eggs were cooked beautifully, and when pierced, spilled their bounty of runny yolk over the potatoes beneath. The hash itself was studded with generous chunks of pulled pork, which still held the aroma of smoke. There were just enough chiles to provide a fruity counterpoint, and the mass was tied together with melted jack cheese and a drizzle of sour cream. I added salt and pepper to the eggs, but the rest of it needed no such adulteration... It was savory and well balanced. No pretense; just good, comfortable, breakfast fare. That hearty meal and a Maniac coffee ran me ten dollars (including tip). My only complaint is that the marketing materials for the breakfast special say "with breakfast entrée" but the cashier advised me that this only included breakfast sandwiches. I had the small size poutine. I am not an expert on poutine but loved the poutine at Fiamma Burger. I'm not crazy about their burgers, but the 5 stars are for the poutine. I will definitely go back again just for that (and take some of my friends, too). read more

I went to this restaurant and got a burger, fries and a drink. For just under ten bucks. A price not unusual for Railroad in Bellingham though a bit surprising for a burger, fries and a Coke. From what I'd heard the burgers were big and very good. The burger was on the small side and the veggies on it were great. The burger itself was almost see through and had No taste! Not even the last few clearly under cooked bites. I was so glad it didn't make me sick considering it may have been all under cooked and I just didn't notice and the entire meal was almost floating in grease and- on the burger- some sort of oily mayo like concoction. I'd be scared to try one of their chicken sandwiches; under cooked beef is one thing but under cooked chicken can be lights out. Place was alright, my favorite part of fiamma burger is their buns, which you can easily tell are not massively made. burger was alright, prices a little high, but since they use local ingredients I can see why their priced that way. Best pulled pork sandwich ever! Great menu, quality ingredients and friendly service. Long lines, limited bunkhouse seating and lots and lots of families with noisy kids. My vote for best all-round burger joint in Skagit and Whatcom counties. Great selection of different types of burgers that I don't think I would exhaust in my lifetime. The fries, onion rings, and milkshakes are equally tasty, along with the imaginative condiments such as curry mayo and different flavors of ketchup. Burgers are not too big (a plus for me), and nicely balanced in terms of meat quality, bun quality, and toppings. It ain't cheap, but in this case, I think you do get what you pay for. read more

I'd like to give this place more stars because the food was pretty good however the staff is unbearable. The waiter didn't even look at me or say anything as he tossed my food down on the table however he was very nice to the older group of business men sitting right next to me..asking them if they're comfortable or needed anything extra...however didn't even bother to say one word to me. It was extremely off putting. This place gets busy too and for some reason the seats are way too close to each other - I had to scoot my chair into my table as close as possible so people can walk by and it was hard to get up and down to get the ketchup they inconventially place on the counter and not at the tables- not comfortable. Overall the food is good but the whole setting, staff and experience was very poor. Also they just squeezed some ketchup and put one tiny pickle on my son's burger - it tasted fine but they could have definitely put a little more effort into it.
