Installed new awning on house. The following week after it rained discovered a big leak. Called left message, called following week left message again. At this point they scheduled a visit to fix problem, no show and no call to cancel. Called again asked to speak to manager, never called back. Don and his son, John responded back to my inquiries for a quote quickly both via email and phone. This showed they wanted my business. Other vendors took 2-3 days to respond. We stopped by the storefront and Don pleasantly showed us the trim options as well as how the awnings were put together. John came by the house, took the measurements and about 9 days later we had our new awning installed. We have already gotten compliments from our neighbors. Whether it was to take measurements or the day of the installation, everyone was punctual. Their estimated time for how long things would take was precise. I have elderly family out in Brooklyn and we needed to get a new awning installed for my great aunts house. The existing awning was the original one built with the house and it was just time to cut ties and get a new one. I looked up awning companies in my aunts area and a few came up. I called a few places and when i got to Fiberama, i spoke with the salesman named Rolando. He was so easy to schedule an appointment with to get an estimate and see exactly what kind of house my aunt lived in. He worked around my schedule which really is a bonus because we don't live near my great aunt and arrangements needed to be made. We were so happy with rolando's honesty and knowledge of his product that we purchased an awning! It's installed beautifully and you can see that this awning is built to last! My aunt can now wait outside of her house for someone to pick her up or just enjoy some fresh air without the sun being too much for her. i just ordered an awning on february 17, 2022, for over my door and was very, very,very dissatisfied. i told the person that wrote up the order that i have a 40" opening and i need my awning to be 48" wide x 20" high x 36" deep. i made it clear to the rep that the 48" is very important so that i would have enough wall to secure the awning. when i got the awning the vertical support was at 42 1/2" instead of 48"there was not enough wall to secure the vertical part. as i was talking to the rep the boss[the son] jumped in very arrogantly and refused to make any concessions.he claimed it was my fault. the rep was totally left out of the conversation while the boss carries on. my $395.00 went down the toilet. it is interesting to note that the awning had 4" over hang of thin metal that made up the width, that was totally useless. the drawing that the rep made up showed no over hang at the sides, but only at the bottom. what a shame!!!! the father was a much better person who i had no problem with for years.the son has no customer relation, in my opinion. i paid cash like i always did and that was a problem on that day. read more

The job was completely butchered, 2 of the windows are still leaking thru and front door is improperly positioned where force has to be used to close it. There are fancier show rooms for doors and windows on McDonald Ave and the rest of Brooklyn but I found it odd that they didn't install the doors that they're selling. I've purchased two doors with Fiberama that they have installed in my home. Over the summer it was an Anderson porch door with glass and screen. That door frame had an odd sized but the installer was able to work with and fix it's irregularities. I just had them install a new front door that's steel with a wood finish. The manufacturer delivered it with a few panels of glass that were smokey instead of clear. Fiberama got them replaced and came back to switch out the glass. For this reason I'd never buy from someone who is not taking the responsibility for both the installation and the product. The new door looks great, it's tight and will eliminate a lot of drafts that I had with the old one. Were I selling I'd conservatively say that the new door has added at least 40K to the value of the home. This is a third generation family business that knows the product and stands by their work. read more

Purchased an Awning and Security Door from Fiberama. The workers were on time and they greeted us nicely, the work was professionally done and once everything was installed the outcome was breathtaking. I peeped a neighbor asking for their business card and two other neighbors gave me thumps up!! Their materials were new and made with quality.. The Cons 11 weeks for delivery. I took into consideration 1. there're the manufacture and it takes time to make the awning 2. there's probably a waiting list3. probably a high demand from those tv commercials. Don't do any business with them. They do their jobs very poorly. I had owning done by them and in a few months started to have leaks because they didn't seal it appropriately. Took forever to get a service call with them & then they wanted to charge me extra for their poorly done job from the very beginning. Also, extremely rude owner Don and his wife Robin. As we hired them & they ripped out the very old windows , we selected the 'Hopper' windows (which is 4 windows that 'roll out with 4 handles turned' ,1 for each window ,inside the house) the job was done & the 1st window (to this day) has NEVER fully closed, at the top (and can be seen from the street when looking upstairs, to the 4 windows) .....couldn't get it to close 100% even with much more force, it seemed to be 'hanging up ' on the framework.....for 2 years , it worked ok , then in the coldest months ,(in 2017) 2 rubber seals were 'hanging off' the bottom of the 2 windows ...and WIND could be felt coming in from the outside.......we took a trip , to the company & talked to them, they sent a repair guy who fixed the rubber seals , that was in 2017.....around 2 months ago (in 6/2019) the 4th window , had a 'L' shaped bracket , with 4 # 6 wood screws , they ALL fell OUT & the window stopped working ....its a 'scissor type ' arrangement , which controls the (open & close) feature of the windows .....as I tried to fix it myself , the flat metal rods are riveted & have the 4 screws , its VERY DIFFICULT to access it , because there is (very little clearance for a screwdriver to work in & is impossible to fix) I gave up & called the company & gave them the order # and the problem ,as a woman answered , she explained that 'there isn't anyone here to fix the window' .......gave our phone # and waited a few days later , called again, and still NO ONE to fix the windows !!! this is (most disturbing) because any company who wants MORE BUSINESS will fix what they sell ...................not here ..................with their (bad attitude) & no help , we have contacted another company who will sell us new windows , standard 'double hung ' windows , nothing fancy , but work all the time ........we are very disappointed in these people , and do NOT recommend you spend your hard earned $ here , try another company , and 1st research them out........................BUYERS BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I recently had an issue with a puncture (loose brick particles fell) in my awning which Fiberama installed a year or so ago.....I called Fiberama they came and serviced my puncture at no cost...the 2 service reps were very polite and did what needed to be done. Very disappointed with my 1/2 completed garage door for such a reputable company ??? The installer showed up complaining the minute he got to my house about how he has to install 23 windows & needs to hurry up with me so he can get to his big job... My door that I waited for well over a month was installed incorrectly and the list can go on and on.. I would never recommend any one use Fiberama for anything it's a shame I've had work done with Another contractor Loporto fence recently & it was 100% unlike Fiberama the WORRRSTTTT ever.. Save yourself the headache & find a real contractor not a wheeler dealer like FIBERAMA. I bought a security door from them 2 years ago for $1200. Always had a problem with the door slamming when it was cold outside. The "EZ SET" lock that was provided with the door has always been a slight problem. Today I'm locked in my house. Can not unlock the cheap EZ SET lock. I called and spoke to someone named Robin who first told me to spray WD40 on the lock. That didn't work. She then tells me that the next available date to have someone come to my house (in Brooklyn by the way) is in April 22. Today is April 11. So I guess I have to wait 11 days to use my front door. The security door I bought from home depot for my back door I purchased a month after the one I bought from FIBERAMA. NEVER A PROBLEM WITH THE $350 HOME DEPOT SECURITY DOOR. I AM NOT PLEASED!!!!!! I listened to the people's complaints/reviews thank god I did! People don't write reviews for no reason. I went into fiberama Brooklyn location and got a quote from Don for 4,100 without seeing my home. I then had Sal from Brooklyn come take measurements and it was still 4,100. I start calling places and telling people the hefty quote just for a carport aluminum flat roof with no poles installed just the awning itself. Everyone agrees that it was a lot. I decide to call fiberama Staten Island location. And give them the same exact dimensions I get quoted 2,300! Which sounds more reasonable. When I call fiberama Paul (beware) cocky, arrogant is not even the word for him. He says well Staten Island didn't come take a look at the job. I inform him there's absolutely nothing to see nothing needs to be taken down. The awning goes up and that's that! He was looking for a cover up for his store. I inform him about the shadiness and the other negative reviews about them. He could care less. Ranting about the few bad reviews they can't doesn't explain why they bring in 12 million a year! Fiberama on 2220 Macdonald Ave Brooklyn NY 11223 has the worst customer service and most unprofessional service and behavior I have ever met, seen and heard. You come in and are greeted with a fake smile and a condescending tone of voice as if they are doing you a favor taking your money. Their prices are BEYOND ridiculously expensive and when you ask if there is any room for negotiation you are told that they will not do business with you. Mr Don at first seems polite but then his true lack of respect and extreme arrogance comes to the surface. His son John is even worse then Mr Don his father. John was so arrogant and disrespectful to me I was shocked. I even have a recorded phone conversation for anyone who wants to listen to how rude and disrespectful he was/is. Mr John even made a somewhat raciest remark about the (competitor) Chinese people, who happen to do the same work and better then he does. How has this business lasted for 3 generations is beyond me, but I have no doubt that it will come to and end with Mr John, Don's son. Stay away from that place and Google much nicer places that are more professional, less expensive yet do just as good if not better work the Fiberama. read more

Had Fiberama come in and install a new Zorox awning. Don is a great salesman but also great a dodging phone calls if there is a complaint. Robin needs to improve her customer service skills by 90%. Either the measurements were wrong or their good installation crew was on vacation but my awning is not what I was sold. They also cut my cable lines during installation, scratched the pavers on my porch floor and my storm door. 1st rain storm the awning leaked. Took several video and pictures and contacted the company, sent them over. Heard back from them 4 days later. They promised to send someone over to inspect, no one came. Another rain storm, the water made its way down to my garage and caused water damage. Called again. Same song and dance. Once I finally threatened to come down to the store they agreed to fix it. I get a call from my wife a day later that two guys were on our porch doing work. They installed a u gutter. I did not consent to the work or was notified this was happening. They drilled into my new awning and my neighbors ( also without consent) to secure it and siliconed the life out of my porch. So they put a band aid on a wound. I called the owner again and I got the same song and dance. Please find better quality and customer service elsewhere!!!! read more

My first experience, I ordered new storm doors and front doors for my basement apartment. The person who installed it, did an excellent job and never had to follow up again. The price is kinda high but worth all the hassle they take care of. The following year I decided to replace the doors on the first floor, front entrance door and kitchen leading to the backyard. This second experience was a disaster! The person who did the measurements had to come back 2x to make sure he got it right. I had to go to the store to leave a deposit. I changed the color of one of the doors while I was there. The owner was the one helping fix the order. It took almost 2 months for the doors to deliver. The excuse they gave was because it was custom made. They even tried to convince me to change my door frame so I wouldn't have to order a larger door. Finally I called and they received my doors and ready to install the following week or 2. The color I wanted was never placed so I had the original color, I asked the owner to lower the price and he took off about $250 for messing it up. Took almost the whole day for two men to install the 4 doors. I never rushed them and only quickly checked on them if everything was progressing well. Offered water and never seem as an annoyance. After they left I gave myself some time to adjust to the new doors. Every week I found something else wrong or missing. Why would I have to ask or pay more for them to install a chain on the storm door? Something's should be automatically installed I didn't believe I had to make sure all of it was in the contract. I had two different experiences and honestly I don't know who to blame for it. The quality of the doors are decent but I know they over price it so they can make a profit. I have to constantly call for the doors to be serviced. Good thing that's unlimited. Some issues don't show up until the weather changes or the actual use of it over time. If the items I'm calling about are so easy they might as well explain it to me so I can correct it myself with a turn of a screwdriver. I doubt I will order from them again. Just so much of a headache of calling them. Lastly, they said they would come and never came, I stood home all day waiting. Keeping fingers crossed they show up this week. read more
