I wanted to luv this place, I know it has been around for years. Fingers crossed that we just caught them on a bad day. The 4 pieces of fish were fresh (or fresh frozen), but that's the best thing I can say about it. The pieces were thinly cut and drowning in an over-battered and enormously greasy coating. The service is always fast and friendly, and you can get service in your car, inside, or a hybrid version (what I usually do, order inside, have the food delivered to my car). My go to orders are either the cheese burger basket, or the fish and chips. The fish comes with garlic toast, clam chowder, and steak fries. Both of them are good value for money in my opinion. First 1 star I've ever given. Manager or owner was a complete dick when our battery died while waiting for our food in the drive-in with our newborn and toddler. We flipped on the light that we were ready to order, and we were quickly greeted at a social distance by a masked waitress. I ordered the Fish and Chips, with French Fries instead of Steak Fries, and extra-crispy. My wife ordered the Crispy Chicken sandwich, also with extra-crispy fries. Soon enough, our order was delivered. I am pretty particular about my Fish and Chips, and these had just the right amount of batter, and were cooked perfectly - not soggy on the inside, not too done on the outside. And the fries! Crispy, crunchy goodness! Oh yeah, and the Root Beer Float was really nice as well. My wife's Crispy Chicken sandwich was okay ... the meat was a bit tough. This was my first time eating at this restaurant. The fries are very similar to Jack In The Box by taste and look. The burger also tasted similar but with different buns and sauce on it. The sauce reminded me of the Big Mac sauce from McDonald's, which gave the burger more flavor. The chocolate milkshake was my most favorite out of the others. read more

I always eat here every time I'm in Anacortes. There's really nothing on the menu that's bad, and it's one of the more cost-friendly places to eat in town without eating at McDonald's. Only fast food place I know of where you can eat health all week and lose weight. read more

Came here after a long trip to the San Juan's. It is a nice place to stop and get some quick food. Tator tots... Need anybody say more than... Tator tots? Yes, we do need to say more, but dang if I don't like piping hot crispy tots to make my doctor cringe as I pop those little golden tubs of goodness down. The sandwich (from reviews) I was expecting to be greasy (like I like it) but not really. Could've been more meet. But the other ingredients were good. I saw how it was described in another review as a step up from fast food at the same price. Considering how much McDonald's costs now, I'd much rather eat here. If we hadn't eaten inside the establishment, I might've given this place 3 stars. The food was fast food quality or just a hair above it. I tried the fish and chips, and the chowder. It was ok if viewed as a fast food meal rather than diner food. But what really turned me off was the condition of the place. It's run down and looks like the owners just don't give a damn. The booth seats were stained and worn out. The windows were dirty and crawling with gnats. There were also a few flies we had to regularly swat away. The fries were tasteless but I was NOT going to even touch the ratty old ketchup bottles sitting on the tables. The whole interior looks like nothing has been changed since the '80s, but not in a deliberately cutesy retro way.
