I've never had a bad meal here, from breakfast to lunch (I don't believe they serve dinner). The meals are put together using locally sourced meats and produce and always come out delicious. I also recommend trying the smoothies - they might be the best I've ever had. read more

I ate breakfast here this morning (6/11/13) and it was phenomenal! I ordered the Big John. Everything from the chicken sausage to the toast was delicious. The waitstaff is extremely friendly and the restaurant is spotless and very unique. Coffee was smooth and bold as well. I visited on a Saturday am and was thoroughly impressed with the fine food. However, my party was greeted gruffly and the whole breakfast took over two hours from order to forks down. It is worth a visit but it is not a quick trip. read more

Despite the fact that I came in for a late (2:30 p.m. and restaurant closed at 3:00 p.m.) lunch, the waitress was friendly, accommodating and did not make me feel rushed. My order was the Field to Fork burger with fried onions and mushrooms, a side of sweet potato fries and a Spotted Cow. The burger was perfectly cooked to the medium I had ordered. This was our first trip to Field to Fork and it didn't disappoint. The space is beautiful and the service was really good. We went right before lunch and I got breakfast while my husband got lunch. I had the Tica and it was really really good. Tica is an Costa Rician rice and beans dish, topped with two eggs, local queso blanco cheese, topped with salsa verde and I got it with the Willow Creek Farms chorizo and guacamole. When the server sat this dish in front of me, I know I was in for a treat because the aroma wafted up and I was like WOW! This is a lot of food and I left half of it. Break the egg yolks into the rice for a really creamy treat, it was flavorful and delicious. That chorizo was the best I ever had and it was spicy! My husband had the lunch burrito with the homemade chorizo, tico rice and beans, vegetable hash, quesadilla cheese and guacamole and topped with tomatillo salsa and queso blanco. It was HUGE and delicious! We ordered a side of the veggie potato hash which is a meal in itself. Freshley squeezed orange juice was a treat and it was tart because real oranges don't taste like what comes in those store bought containers. I look forward to going back and trying more of the delightful and diverse menu. From smoothies to burgers this place offers something for everyone. When you are finished with your meal wander back to the pastry counter and drool over the delights for sale. Then wander into the shared retail area that connects them with Il Ritrovo. All of Stefano's restaurants in Sheboygan are smashing! If you eat at McDonald's on a regular basis, chances are you're not going to appreciate this good food! read more

We were totally disappointed with both service and food quality at this restaurant. It was expensive, pretentious and an overall lousy experience from the moment we walked in to the lack of attention when we left. I ordered a "cheesehead" which sounded like an awesome grilled cheese, billed as being filled with 3 cheeses, sounded incredible. It was lukewarm barely toasted bread with one slice of cold cheese. My daughter ordered a kids meal which came with juice, but the waiter also sold us an additional $3 juice not sure why.... My husband ordered a patty melt, which was almost completely pink, he was not asked how he would like it, the menu said nowhere that everything was served rare, and again it was not on grilled bread at all bu barely warmed toasted bread. For lunch for 2 of us it was $35, and McDonald's would have been better. Lastly when we left my daughter wanted her leftovers we tried to get the waiters attention for a box which he never offered even though both her and I had barely eaten 1/2 of our meals, eventually we wrapped it in her napkin to go. I left over 1/2 of my sandwhich uneaten and he never asked what we thought. read more

I was in town from San Francisco for a wedding at Kohler and ended up eating breakfast here twice. Between my husband and myself we had the buckwheat blueberry pancakes, turkey bacon, the tico, a breakfast sandwich special, the hash and cold brew coffee. Everything was amazing! San Francisco is the capital of farm to table dining and we were incredibly impressed with everything we tried. Numerous other people attending the wedding also ate breakfast here and everyone raved about it! If I am ever in the are again, this will be my first stop! read more

Myself and 4 friends stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, I have been to this place on several occasions in the past and was extremely happy with everything. Unfortunately, on this visit I can't say the same. I ordered the Walnut burger and was extremely disappointed. The burger was so think and the bun was over-whelmly thick I could hardly taste the burger. One of my friends ordered a hamburger and it was twice as thick... I guess I don't understand why you wouldn't make all burgers the same thickness?? Or, maybe realize the proportion of burger to bun. The burger my friend ordered had to be sent back twice, she ordered it med-well. The first time it was close to rare, the 2nd time still more rare. She then asked if instead of continuing to cook the same burger over & over they would put a new one on. They agreed, we resumed our meals and were pretty much done, she still did not have her food... So, she requested an egg salad sandwich instead. They obliged her and also gave her, her meal free. My husband had the good fortune to come across Field to Fork on our way back from a vacation in Door County, WI. Good cooks and somewhat demanding restaurant patrons, we knew we were in the right place the minute we walked in the door. The atmosphere was comfortable; the breakfast menu tempting and varied; the staff friendly, efficient and knowledgeable; the open kitchen spotlessly clean. I loved being served a really good, really large cup of decaf coffee accompanied, as I'd requested, with milk rather than cream. Sitting at the counter, we could see peppers roasting on the grill, and cheese being grated by hand. The bread, baked on site, was outstanding. If we lived within 100 miles of this restaurant, we'd happily order our way through every item on the menu. Finding Field to Fork was a real highlight of our trip -- a simply delightful surprise and by far the best breakfast we've ever enjoyed on a road trip. We bought a few cookies to take away, too, and can particularly recommend the molasses spice! read more

Went there this morning to get breakfast. We arrived at 9:00. It was pretty full and we needed to wait for a few minutes. I ordered the breakfast tacos. They come with eggs, chorizo, and a side of tomatillo sauce. The tacos were good but they really skimped on the chorizo. I couldn't even taste it. It was almost non-existent and I only knew there was chorizo because it was written on the menu and there were tiny chunks of brown speckled in the eggs. What made up for the lack of chorizo was the tomatillo sauce. It was very good. A little disappointed about the chorizo but I won't discredit the place for that. I ordered the green juice. It was very fresh but wish it was chilled. It came at room temp. No big deal. My girlfriend order the blueberry pancakes with a side of sausage. The pancakes were made with whole wheat flour and it threw her off a little. Otherwise they were very good. The sausage patty was properly spiced and you could tell it was made from scratch. Breakfast and juice for two cost me about $50 after tip. Pretty expensive considering it's simple breakfast food. I understand that it's locally sourced and the ingredients are of higher quality, but $50 for breakfast? Really? We got two juices, two breakfasts, and two sides... The atmosphere was very nice and they had an awesome Beatles playlist. I would go back to try something new, it's just a tad expensive. read more
