Can't give high enough praise for this place. I had the oatmeal with bananas, raisins, brown sugar and jam. I don't even remember enjoying oatmeal more! For lunch, it was a no-brainer (just look at the name!). Great service, real food, good flavors and fresh ingredients. I had a cup of chili which tasted like what Chicago brick was intended to taste like with a hint of hmm spice and perfect temp/texture. Have the works, they complement it well. The menu is interesting but at the end of the read, I wanted a cuban sandwich, which was memorable and well thought out, down to the grapefruit garnish. Had a bit more work to do, so I had their coffee....glad I did. Reasonable prices, trendy lunch-counter/cafe environment and a small shop next door with what you could only imagine is where they get their ingredients. read more

Breakfast was very good. I had a vegetable frittata that had greens on top too -so a very healthy meal. Prices were a little on the high side, but probably due to the organically grown/locally sourced nature of the ingredients. Connected to the restaurant there's a bakery/grocery store with unique specialty items, cheeses, organically grown produce and fun candy, so we bought items to take with us too. The family seemed 'ok' with their food but could tell they weren't overly happy. I ordered an egg white omelet that contained green and red pepper, jalapeno, and a piece of cheddar cheese. There was more cheddar then egg. Literally, 5 or 6 bite meal and was over $10. And the jalapenos were not fresh and from a jar. Will never return. Wife and daughter ordered smoothies. ~$7 each. Great lunch! I wish our town had this restaurant. Friendly staff, huge portions, and very good food. We had a veggie burger, kid's burger (full size!), and bowl of (meat) chili with 'side' salad and side of fried cheese curds. Burgers were on 'Sheboygan hard rolls' that were incredible (and not hard), and both burgers got rave reviews. Salad was massive, and fresh; could have been a full meal but only $4.50. The cheese curds (a WI specialty, for the uninitiated) were the only disappointment, but we do have high standards. Oh, and local DRAFT root beer!! And they try to serve local. A definite. read more

We took a chance based on Yelp on our way home from Green Bay. What a great decision. The food was fresh and flavored with unique and interesting ingredients. I had the Butt hot sandwich. Fantastic pork with a creamy slaw topping. My wife had a burrito with chicken that was seasoned with fresh ingredients and portioned very generously (as was my sandwich). The Field to Fork is a restaurant my wife and I have been talking about going to for years. Why haven't we? It's because it's right next to and happens to be owned by the same people who own Il Ritrovo, which is one of our favorite restaurants in the entire state. So whenever we are in Sheboygan it is difficult to not just go to Il Ritrovo. But today we made the effort to try something new and we were not disappointed. Field to Fork shares a walk-through wall with Il Ritrovo, as well as some of the decor and glassware, as well as the excellent staff, but that's where the similarities pretty much end. I thought the food was going to be much more on the "healthy"side and there were certainly plenty of healthy options on the menu, but there is also fried cheese curds, breaded and fried chicken, quesadillas and bratwurst to name just a few of the delicious offerings. The main idea with FTF is that the vast majority of items on the menu are sourced from within the immediate area. You'll therefore see small farm names for many of the meats and cheeses offered on the menu. What does this really mean? That none of the items on the menu have gone through a food processing plant in the conventional sense and is therefore additives free and much healthier for you even if you are having a bratwurst with cheese :-). We started with an order of the cheese curds which were of the light and puffy variety with a very mellow creamy cheese inside the lightly crisped outside. A nice way to start the meal. My wife ordered a salad and a cup of the awesome minestrone which we have had at Il Ritrovo before. My daughter ordered the breaded chicken breast on a homemade butter biscuit. It was almost overwhelming based on the size but had a nice flavor. It may have been just a bit overdone as it was verging on dry. It came with a nice homemade honey mustard sauce. I had the kimchi quesadillas which had a great flavor. It was surprisingly subdued and mellow and I was expecting a bit more vinegar or even heat from the kimchi. They have a nice selection of wine as well as several regional micro brews to help wash it all down. Definitely a very pleasant dining experience and we shall return again! read more

Tried it again, and what a difference!! Had the Cheese Curds & Truffle Burger, both were on point. Truffle Burger was full of flavor and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The cheese curds had a saltier flavor to them and the honey mustard paired nicely this time. Waitress was sharp and did a great job, still extremely pricey for a burger $13 with no sides. Absolutely the best breakfast joint in the area, great service, amazing coffee (from someone not Illy, at least as of about 1/17/11 - I routinely drink a pot while I'm there), and a fresh, clean vibe to the place. On an early Saturday morning in Sheboygan, my boyfriend and I decided to stop for breakfast and some much needed coffee. I had an omelette and he had the breakfast special which was a gyro hash with tatziki. He let me try a bite and I had major breakfast envy. We overheard our server tell another table that the special was sold out before 10 am, so you know it was delish! Not only did we have great meals and coffee, but the restaurant itself is an awesome space to laze away a morning. It's hard to know how to rate this place because while some aspects were great, other things were very aggravating. To begin with the good: I enjoyed the Coney Dog and liked that I could order a hotdog, know where the meat came from, and enjoy quality ingredients. On the frustrating end of the spectrum, the service was lackluster and felt slow. Also, we ordered the fruit plate as a side. It was quite expensive for a fruit plate, but it is a local/organic place, and understandably, that comes with supporting local farms. However, it arrived on a tiny plate and was laughably sparse and also underripe. The bill came, and it just felt incredibly overpriced for lunch. While I enjoyed my entree, it was just too mixed of an experience to return again. read more

We were in the area for a work trip and really did not want subway for lunch. We decided to give this place a try. It is definitely fresh, all natural and lives up to its name field to fork. I had the quiche plate that had a mushroom and cheese quiche, salad and cup of soup. The soup was very good and you can tell was homemade. The salad had a homemade original dressing that was diffrent, a bit spicy, but I like spicy so I enjoyed it. The quiche had too much cheese in it. So much cheese to the point were it was greasy and salty. I didn't really get to taste much else. One co-worker had the bison burger which she said was very good. My other co-worker had the chicken and biscuit sandwich, which looked really good, and he said it was. The plates do not come with sides (fries, salad, fruit, etc.) you have to order those separately. For me that is fine because I usually can not finish the sides unless they are small. For the price it was not bad. Our waitress was nice and friendly and made good recommendations. I need to come back here and try something else off the menu before I render a final decision on this place. read more

This place is so delicious and fresh we went for breakfast and then went back for lunch. We would be there for dinner too, if it was open! Had Tico breakfast with vegetarian sausage and friend had an amazing egg white omlet. For lunch I had the hummus pita with delicious lentil soup and salad. Friends had the soup and a large salad.
