Field to Fork is no exception, as the food is superb, beautifully presented, thoughtfully prepared with the best ingredients, and also reasonable in price! There is one thing in particular that I want to compliment Field to Fork and these are their in house roasted espresso coffee beans, which are absolutely spectacular! Talking about smooth taste, and perfectly balanced and a true treat as a straight espresso or milk based drink such as a latte or cappuccino! After a fabulous experience at The American Club and Kohler Spa, my sisters and I were relaxed and ready for lunch before heading home. I perused Yelp and saw Field to Fork was a top find. We took the short drive to Sheboygan (literally 5 minutes away). The town was rather sleepy downtown on a weekday, but inside Field to Fork it was bustling! Pro-Tip: Free parking is directly behind the restaurant. Don't bother with on-street paid parking. Field to Fork is connected to Il Ritrovo and the Italian market next door. It's small and narrow with great diner/bar-top seating and a few tables. Service was spectacular - our host was charming and we had a great time chatting it up. On this day, the special was saffron chicken meatball sandwiches, served with your choice of a soup or salad. I chose the chicken and dumplings. The meatballs were fresh, lights, and perfectly seasoned. It was heart and great for an fall dish. Add in the soup it made us warm and refreshed. We stopped in for lunch after visiting the Kohler Art Museum and were seated in the upper level. We all agreed that the Cauliflower Melt sandwich was the tastiest item we ordered and we would definitely choose to have it again. The Avocado Toast with Poached Eggs was well done except it did not have as much avocado as we usually find on that item at other restaurants we've been to. The Walnut burger was ok but they had run out of the bun that it normally comes with. The quiche was disappointing because it was too bland, though the crust was good and the simple salad came with their wonderful Goddess dressing. The fruit plate side included lots of berries and all the fruit tasted good. Overall, everything seemed fresh and made from quality ingredients--it really seems to live up to its name. I stopped in yesterday to grab a walnut burger to go. It is a delicious veggie option! I've been coming to field to fork for years- everything is fresh and locally sourced without fail. Whenever I'm near Sheboygan this place is a must stop. The market attached is filled with groceries you won't find anywhere else. You have to visit this cute little restaurant in downtown Sheboygan!!! We were just delighted with everything! When you walk in the door the wonderful aromas start you salivating, the open kitchen is right there! The staff is super friendly and makes you feel welcome. I chose the Vegan Bowl and it was so tasty I wanted to lick my plate plus I have plenty left for dinner My husband chose the Chicken Enchilada and was extremely impressed with it. Having a sweet tooth he picked a couple of cookies to take home with his leftovers. It's a bit of a drive from Milwaukee but I guarantee that we will come back here often!! I've been coming here since it opened in early 2000s, had a horrible experience with a waitress. Seems to be the main waitress, a woman in her 50s. Never have I been treated more poorly. Acting like we are burdening her for splitting the checks, asking for a box, and just ordering. Made us wait 30 min for the bills. We were staying down the street and had this restaurant recommended to us the night before, I was super excited to try it and it didn't disappoint :) The staff were genuinely happy to be there. They were super friendly and went above and beyond to help the customers (e.g. getting down on the floor to fix a wobbly table). The food was delicious. Food was decent, but the waitstaff was inattentive and communicated poorly. The hostess at the front was delightful. We sat at the coffee bar for a few minutes while waiting for out table. They ignored us completely for several minutes. When they finally let us order beverages, they told one of our party that they needed just a minute to change the Peroni keg. The rest of us got our beverages and our pager went off to be seated. They told us they'd transfer our tab and the beer would be right out. We sit at our table for about 15 minutes before the server arrives to take our order. We ask about the beer we ordered and she seems to have no idea we ordered one. She goes off and returns with a different similar beer to sample because now they're out of Peroni. It's about 40 minutes since that beer was originally ordered. Our food takes about 45 minutes to arrive. When it does, it's fine. Not amazing enough to justify the service in my opinion. This place gets a shrug from me. read more

I went with my mom for a busy weekend brunch, it was bustling and we waited quite a while for food. It was so worth it though! Mom ordered avocado toast and I ordered a polenta bowl. I would this place online before our trip and wanted to eat breakfast here one day if possible. Fortunately, Saturday morning we agreed to be the ones to open the pavilion our family rented at the marina so we swung by and picked up breakfast. We sat at the bar while waiting for our food. It is a cute place and everything is very fresh. I got the breakfast tacos, which were tasty. I do like spicier food though and should have got a cup of hot sauce to go as the tomatillo sauce that goes with it is mild. My husband is a traditional breakfast kind of guy so this wasn't his bag but he did get a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and thought it was ok. The coffee was perfect. I got the Mexican blend because I like strong coffee. I also checked out the baked goods while we waited and they looked amazing. There are a lot of vegan options here that even a non-vegan person would be tempted by. This seems like it is a happening place on the weekend and you can see why. read more

I've now eaten lunch officially at Field to Fork and can offer an updated review. My dad and I went recently right at noon and were seated right away despite that. We sat upstairs. The atmosphere here is cute, but like so many modern places, it's super loud with no sound absorbing materials or soft finishes. Our waiter was great - fun, perky and very accommodating. Dad had a bison burger that he enjoyed. We split an order of fries that were good, but not particularly special. They are big though and we both noted that the ketchup was good and likely homemade, with a little spice to it. I had their veggie burger special of the day. It ate like a sloppy joe or loose meat sandwich. It was technically bound into a patty, but quite loosely. It did have great flavor. The side greens that came with it were fresh, but unremarkable and not terribly tasty. It's a little expensive, but worth a try. read more

So after a disappointing forage into the neighboring SLO Food market, myself and my party settled down to breakfast at Field to Fork. If this is all one big happy family, why does the coffee in the restaurant taste worse than the coffee in the market? What coffee is this? Mr. Field to Fork, have you thought of using "local" coffees? Colectivo or Anodyne come to mind. The morning nectar was actually good. Caution, it's $8 in the restaurant but it's $12 in the market. Why? The menu is limited. I had the avocado toast with poached eggs. The toast wasn't bad, the radishes and aioli were a nice touch but the small bowl filled with two overcooked poached eggs swimming in hot, murky water seemed to fit the overall experience, but were clearly another example of a poorly executed plan. How about draining the egg in a small, fine mesh sieve, and then laying each egg on each piece of toast. Also, these are supposed to be poached eggs. I want to see yolk run when I split them. I didn't order avocado toast with hard boiled eggs. Another member of our group ordered the two eggs. It came with VERY greasy bacon and a bland, dry whole wheat toast. Recommendation, skip the bacon, and try to create a flavorful potato. Maybe something with fresh marjoram or rosemary that would complement the eggs. One of my guests ordered the French toast. It was okay. Perhaps a brioche or challah bread would have been a choice over the Italian bread. If you ever go to Madison, there is a small, packed diner on W Johnson that uses day old baguette that has been soaked in the French toast mix overnight. It works. The fourth member of our group ordered the sandwich. He said he could have done without the bacon and would have preferred more cheese. Having experienced the accompanying market, and realizing this is the same owner, it is, what it is. read more

This place is truly a star for the small, but growing town of Sheboygan. Located downtown, it doesn't look like much and you probably don't expect anything to wow you. However, walking in, you will soon realize why this place is exactly what this town needs. It can get quite busy and that's a good sign. From their bakeries to their foods to their fredhly squeezed juices, you will not be disappointed. I sat by the counter where the coffee roaster was at and you can smell the aroma. I could not resist a cup of coffee. It was smooth and strong with a nice dark roast, a great way to wake up. Coffee was so balanced. We ordered the egg omelette with wheat toast and the steak burrito. Egg omelette was delicious but my absolute favorite from the plate was their sesame seed wheat bread that was toadted and buttered beautifully paired with their homemade raspberry jam (LIQUID GOLD)!! I kid you not, it was the perfect raspberry jam I've ever had. It wasn't too sweet or tart and the consistency wasn't jello-like jam, more like a compote consistency. I can taste some citrus so it could be lemon juice or orange juice or both. It's probably a blend with strawberries as well. It was MY FAVORITE! I asked for another cup to bring home. The steak burrito was delicious. Steak cooked perfectly before being wrapped up in the tortilla. It was hearty and perfect with the sauces. I loved both items that was ordered. We also ordered juices to go. We ordered the morning blend, father's daughter, and the hulk. I love them all, but my favorite for a good morning would be the morning blend. Light and citrusy with a hint of ginger (my favorite). Servers were nice and friendly, even for a busy morning. We had a great time there and food was just amazing, so fulfilling! I love the atmosphere and there's a market nextdoor. I could easily be here all day, but I wasn't. This place is a MUST VISIT, HIGHLY RECOMMEND, and will DEFINITELY COME BACK whenever I visit Sheboygan again. read more

This has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat in Sheboygan. My girlfriend and I decided to come here for a quick lunch date, and we had a really nice time. We were seated right away in the back on the first floor near the bakery, and our waitress was really helpful and funny. Right away, we decided to start our meal off with a few smoothies. My partner got a Tropical smoothie ($6.95) that includes Mango, peach, banana, pineapple juice, and coconut water. I got a vegan PB² smoothie ($7.95) which has PB², Maca powder, banana, almond milk, and date. They were good, but I think they're a little overpriced for the size. We ordered an order of cheese curds ($8.95) for an appetizer. Last time we had been here, they were amazing, so we felt pretty good about it. Boy, were we disappointed. There was like, no cheese left. It was mostly hollow breading bubbles. On top of that, it was super salty. We pretty much left them alone. It was a bummer. Then came the main event. My girlfriend got a Humpty Dumpty Burger ($13.95), that comes with roasted garlic aioli, arugula, tomato, mushrooms, bacon, avocado, and a fried egg. She was really happy with it, and would definitely order it again in the future. I decided to try something new, and ordered a vegetarian walnut burger ($8.95), which is a Trempealeau Hotel walnut burger topped with roasted red pepper, havarti cheese, lettuce, tomato, and horseradish mayonnaise. This is seriously one of the best burgers I've ever had, and there's not even meat on it. The flavor was so good, and the texture was really nice- an issue that I have with a lot of veggie burgers. I'd order it again in a heartbeat. I do think it's a bummer that sandwiches don't come with a side and you have to order it separate, but it is what it is. It's also a shame they aren't open for dinner. All in all, we were both happy enough with our experience. We'll keep coming back, and I'm sure I'll get the walnut burger again too. read more
