This place is our go to for local! We love this Mexican restaurant and the food is always amazing.

Very disappointed with the service we had. We arrived and waited 10 minutes to get a drink order, then after sitting and see other people getting their food that walked in 20 minutes after us, we asked the manager to check on our food. Nothing was in the computer and our waitress went and added our order after the fact. we waited 50 minutes to get our food. The manager himself never came back to check on us about our order and tell us when it would be ready. the waitress never said a word to us after the fact she messed up and didn't put our order in. We paid FULL price for this awful experience without anything from the staff or owners! read more

I'm giving two stars for the margaritas because this is the only good thing about this place. The food is satisfactory. Nothing stands out from any other Mexican restaurant I've been to. The service on the other hand is HORRIBLE! Every single time I've been there the staff seems frazzled and are not overly friendly. The most recent time we visited, we sat for at least 15 min and were never approached by wait staff to even order a drink. I asked the host if he could find our waiter but he never came. Finally the host took our drink order and we waited another 15 minutes. One person in our party finally got a soda but no other drinks came. We ended walking out and have decided that we will probably stop punishing ourselves by visiting this place. Make your evening better by choosing a different place the next time you're craving Mexican food. read more

Have to start with why I am only giving 2 stars - the service was awful! My girlfriend and I felt very unwelcome by our server. His attitude was terrible, to the point that our dining experience was awkward. I was debating on whether or not to get another margarita, but was handed the check and rushed out before I could even ask. I ordered the chimichanga and my girlfriend the chile Colorado. Both of the dishes were flavorful and came out very quickly. The prices were also very accommodating. In all, I might come back in the future to give it another try. I wish I could give this 4.5 stars. I was impressed with everything about this place. We are vegetarians so our options are usually limited in some places, but not Mexican food and not this one. I got the Santa Fe chimichanga and it was huge! And delicious. I'm taking off a (half) star because the refried beans were not so great. My daughter wouldn't eat her taco because of it and I couldn't blame her after trying it myself. But, the chips and salsa were perfect and so was everything else. read more

Great little place just outside Des Moines. I had chicken enchiladas with green tomatillo sauce. Beans, rice, and gold margarita round out my plate today. Chicken was cooked to perfection, the green sauce a little salty for my diet but quite tasty. The salsa was also a stand out for my meal. Pulpy, not chunky but not running either. This is my favorite spot for Mexican food in central Iowa. I can try something different each time I visit and it's always equally delicious. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and fast. The margaritas are the size of your head and are generous on the tequila. The Blue Margarita is my favorite. Can't go wrong eating here and visiting cute downtown Adel. read more

Got food poisoning both times I went here. The food wasn't that good and I LOVE Mexican so when the old Mexican restaurant was replaced with this one I was disappointed and now drive the half an hour to the old restaurants new location. But everyone in town seems to like it so maybe it's just me ‍. Staff is very nice! read more

I stopped in adel while on the road. Nice clean restaurant in the small town Midwest style. Prices consistent w what a small town would consider reasonable. Since this is a small town I was pleased to see that the restaurant was well attended on a Wednesday night even thought Covid-19 was in full bloom. The staff was appropriately attired with masks and seating was restricted per the 6 foot rule. I received a menu promptly and order a corona Light which came cold and w a lime wedge. The lime wedge was slightly dehydrated and old looking but I pushed it down in the bottle and drank up. It was excellent. The wait staff brought a basket of chips and salsa. The chips were warm but unfortunately stale and tough. The salsa was mediocre and looked and tasted more like tomato sauce than any salsa I've ever had. Served in a nice small stoneware bowl. After perusing the menu I decided on my favorite green chili enchiladas w rice and beans. The food came in a nice white rectangular China plate. Presentation was very nice. The beans were runny and very blah. The rice was an odd color of yellowish orange but tasted quite good. The enchiladas however, were not good. I ordered one cheese and one chicken. The chicken inside the enchilada was excellent but The green sauce was horrible. This must have been made from straight jalapeño peppers with no tomatillos. I can't express how horrible it was. I ate it thinking it would get better, but it certainly didn't. The reason this review is as long as it is, is because I applaud the people of Adel for supporting this wonderful restaurant in such a small town. I only experienced this one meal there and the restaurant was doing a good local business this weekday evening so I'm sure I just picked the wrong entree on the wrong night. I will probably try Fiesta again when I'm going through town. Hopefully this review helps the owners figure out what was wrong w the green enchilada sauce and the chips and salsa. read more

It's tough to rate a business that is great in one area but terrible in another. If all we care about is the taste of the food, this rates 5 star. It is an ordinary environment (not bad, not great), probably 3 star. We had a welcome coupon from having moved into the area that was supposed to be good for a free entree or $10 off. First, because of COVID we called ahead and asked if dine in would be required to use it as it said on the coupon. We were willing to dine in, but our preference was take out if available. They said we could use it for takeout. I then placed an order on the phone. When I arrived, it was as if I hadn't placed an order at all. I had to start the process all over again, including asking about takeout with the coupon. I placed my order for less than $10, so it should have been free. They wanted $3.53. When I asked what that was for, they said tax. 35% tax? No way. When I got to see what they rang up, it included a drink I hadn't ordered. They said that was part of the deal, although there was nothing on the coupon that would have required a drink purchase. They also added a takeout fee that was never mentioned. I figured it was still a good deal, so I went ahead and paid the $3.53 on my credit card. A few days later, I found that they had charged $13.53, essentially selling the items at full price. I would not have ordered at all except for the coupon. I had to go through a credit card dispute to get the $10 back. This type of bait and switch is not okay with me. Steer clear of this place if you know what's good for you, or perhaps pay cash only. I don't care how good the food is, if you are going to be deceptive, you will not do well. read more

Who would have ever thought that in tiny Adel Iowa you'd find outstanding Mexican food. Hubs gave the thumbs up about every 30 seconds. I guess he had to use hand signals as he couldn't speak. Very busy chomping on his enchiladas. And I was kind of busy with my chimichanga. Super good food and our waiter was great. Very reasonable prices. Very clean and cheery. read more

Fiesta was a "found by accident" while driving through Adel one Saturday. Boy were we lucky! The food was the best Mexican food I've had in Iowa and the service was outstanding. Now we drive 30 minutes each way to eat here at least twice a month. It's our favorite! read more

Excellent food and the wait staff is second to none! They take care of you from the time you walk in the door until you walk out. Very generous portions, always fresh and hot and well presented plates. GOOD house margaritas too!! Caesar is the best server, IMO. Always there to fill your needs. We will continue to make this one of our favorite spots to eat. read more
