Ate here last night and both me and my coworker loved it. I had the fajita burrito and a pork taco and he had a combo plate both meals were huge and well worth the money. The chips and salsa was fantastic as well especially the one with veggies in it. I will definitely be returning! read more

We had a party of nine and had a reservation so we didn't have to wait to be sited but I did see lots of people waiting for around 10 minutes to be seated. They start you off with the plainest tortilla chips ever and some very chunky salsa. I got two "hard" shell tacos, after looking at their 100+ items and their "New Your Steak" and that is not a typo on my part. My tacos has some beans and rice on the sine and I swear it looked like someone had just dumped a whole bag of chopped lettuce and cheese on top of all my food. I could barley even find my tacos! When I did find them my "hard" shells where extremely soft and drenched with beef juice. As I was expecting I feel like I'm going to throw up and pass out after eating it. If you are planning on going here don't just go to the ancient McDonalds behind it. Even that is better! read more

Not bad for the prices. The beef in both our meals could have used more flavor. The meals were very filling though. Don't go here expecting to die for Mexican food. Good for Montana, very average for the rest of the US. Chips need to be served at least a little warm. Service was OK, I think they might have been surprised by a bigger than usual lunch crowd. Best Mexican food in Bozeman by far. Definitely get the fiesta colada, you get a giant pitcher with some awesome cups. Yum!! I also really like how the waiters call you señor and señorita. They are all very friendly and your food always gets to you super fast! read more

Without a doubt the most authentic Mexican food in town! Let's face it our little town doesn't exactly have the best Mexican food at least when compared to San Diego and the likes. A friend from Ca suggested I try these folks out and see what I thought. When I sat down in the cheesy slightly run down restaurant I was taken back. I thought wait a minute this is strangely similar to lots of run down Mexican joints in Ca that serve such amazing food, HMMM. So the first thing I order is soup, its just OKAY. However the chips and salsa were good, they had two types of salsa one hot one mild. Ahh lets not play games just bring the hot please. Anyway the carne asada shows up and my mouth is watering just looking at it. My burrito was EXCELLENT! So flavorful I forgot where I was for an hour while we ate. There is no doubt in my mind this is the best Mexican I have had since I last visited Ca. Like I said the restaurant is a little run down but the staff was friendly and the food was excellent. Well I couldn't really get into the soup as the chicken was very tough and a tad weak on the flavor. But I don't care I didn't come for the soup people I came for the carne asada and its a winner!!!!!! read more

Thumbs up from a transplanted Texan! I moved from Austin to Bozeman about a year and a half ago. One of the things I miss about my former home is the large number of good Tex-Mex restaurants. Not the big, flashy joints that cater to the tourists, but small, family-owned places that have good food and good service. Fiesta Mexicana is such a place. The first thing I noticed about this restaurant was that the staff was almost all Hispanic. Call me picky, but I like to see Mexicans working at my Mexican restaurants (and Chinese working at my Chinese restaurants and so on). There even were two Spanish-speaking guys dining there. Another good sign! Chips, salsa and water were brought to my table almost immediately. (The chips and salsa were complimentary, as they should be.) The margaritas come in several flavors and sizes; I ordered a 16 ounce house margarita and enjoyed it. Good taste, not too weak, not too strong. The menu has lots of choices; I ordered chicken enchiladas with a tamale on the side. The enchiladas were tasty. They came with a verde sauce on top as I requested. Rice and refried beans on either side of the enchiladas made for a man-size meal. My only quibble about the food related to the tamale; it came covered with a bit too much queso and salsa. But that's more my fault than the restaurant's. On my second visit (last night), I ordered a naked tamale as a side dish, so I could better taste the masa and meat, and that's exactly what they brought me. Clearly doing things the way the customer wants is not a problem here. So, on the plus side, the chips and salsa are free; the margaritas are good; the portions large; the prices reasonable; and the staff attentive and friendly. On the down side, the neighborhood is a little iffy. There's a BMX course across the street and a seedy-looking apartment complex nearby. And Fiesta Mexicana shares a building and parking lot with Mixers nightclub. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable coming here after dark. But that's my only real complaint. Otherwise, I highly recommend this Tex-Mex restaurant. I for one have found my new go-to place for comfort food (and drink) in Bozeman. read more

Probably the best Mexican food that I have had in the northwest. Being from Colorado I have had the opportunity to experience many different Mexican restaurants and this one in Bozeman is probably among my top 5 favorite. The food here is NOT authentic Mexican-it is not even close to Tex-Mex. Authentic Mexican Restaurants do not use grated cheddar cheese on the food or lettuce. This is typical in Montana where the goal is to put alot of cheap food on the plate and smother it in grated cheddar cheese. I asked for a hotter salsa than the one that came with the chips and they had none-the food is very bland and not spicy at all. With that being said the food here will not make you ill, was decently cooked and tasted fine for what it is. I don't know how this is considered a four star Mexican restaurant. Chips clearly strait from a bag. Shredded cheese... straight from a bag. Chicken on tacos... unseasoned. Side of sour cream... $2.50. If I can make the meal better at home, it should not cost $48.00 (even with two margaritas). The standard for Hispanic cuisine seems mighty low in Montana. That said, the people were nice. The service was also good. Just don't let the four stars fool you. read more

We visit Bozeman twice a year and have been to this restaurant several times. Normally it is good. However we went a couple of weeks ago and both of us had GI disturbances the next day. Also service was lackluster with no place settings, slow service and weak margaritas. read more
