Yum! This is the best Mexican food I've found in Baltimore. The women who work there are so friendly and the food is fantastic. We started with the guac - it was so fresh and tasted delicious. The only negative was the chips seemed to have come from a bag, but at least they were not stale. The tostadas are light and fresh. A base of refried black beans topped with lettuce and queso blanco. Sounds simple but each bite was bursting with flavor. Also tried the enchiladas - the green sauce is spicy but has a good kick that makes you want more. I don't know what kind of cheese was in the enchiladas, but it wasn't your typical cheddar - I think it was pretty authentic and what one would expect to find on the side of a road in Mexico. Couldn't stop there - you must try the flan. it was ammmmaaazzzing! However, I've got to warn you...if you're expecting to be able to enjoy your meal without being told over and over again that people are waiting 25 mins for a table, go elsewhere. But to the stout older man who, I am assuming, is the owner, don't be a dick to paying customers because there's a wait for tables. Don't rush pleasant paying customers, don't be inconsiderate with your words, and try to embarrass them by asking if people were waiting for our TWO top table. Word of mouth is sacred is smalltimore, and due to your disgusting attempt to humiliate a paying customer, I'll never say a good word about this place. The absolute best Mexican food I've had outside of Mexico, but maybe anywhere! Frederico and his crew have always been there for our cravings, we've been coming for at least 10 years. They've moved to the shopping center north of their smaller original location. When you walk in, grab your drinks at the front, use the bottle opener on the counter, and proceed to a table up front or in the back where there's more room. I highly recommend the gigantic nachos, Guacamole, pambazo sandwich, or quesadillas which are more like giant empanadas you can get with cheese and three different fillings, topped with lettuce, crema, and cotija. My family and I just moved to the area and were looking for a place for some good Mexican food. We saw the critiques for this place on Yelp and figured we'd check it out. Just as most reviews said, the restaurant turned out to be very authentic and really good to eat. We had no complaints regarding any part of our order. The restaurant itself was small and off the road with an equally small parking lot. It shared a building with a hair salon that had its own customers. The only reason I don't give all 5 stars is because I wouldn't suggest eating there unless your party was small. In addition, as mentioned earlier, the parking was tight. Luckily, we got a to-go order so the person we had to block in was none the wiser of the predicament. All in all, the owners were nice and had our order ready to go in the time quoted over the phone. The restaurant was full and everyone looked satisfied with the place. Overall, the mom-and-pop feel might turn some off if you're looking for a "traditional" restaurant, but the food will not let you down. This place gets a fully enforced 4 1/2 stars from me even though I can't figure out how to give a half star. read more

Ordered takeout several nights ago and got myself chorizo/potato and cheese quesadilla and a pambazo sandwich with carnitas. I can't comment on the parking space (someone else picked it up for me) and I can't comment on the dining-in experience since I ordered to-go (I did hear that both parts were fairly small, however). To start, the quesadillas were amazing! They reminded me more of empañadas than quesadillas but nonetheless, they were very delicious. Crispy on the outside and pretty decently filled on the inside with chorizo, potatoes and cheese. Seasoning was very good and I loved their salsa verde. Definitely loved the added cheese, lettuce and crema fresca. As for the pambazo, I ordered it because so many reviewers were raving about it. However, maybe it was hyped up too much because in my opinion, it wasn't THAT great... I think it also might have been because the type I ordered. I got mine with carnitas thinking that it was the shredded pork that one would normally see at Mexican/taco joints but instead the pork was cubed, making the meat a bit tough and chewy. I think that kind of ruined the experience for me. Maybe next time I'll try it with some other filling and hopefully it will be better. read more

I recently moved to Baltimore from Los Angeles (which is a haven for Mexican food and taco stands at every corner) and I was craving Mexican food ... decided to try this place out through Postmates and it is now my go to place for Mexican food. I've tried the sopes and carne asada tacos and both were delicious! I rarely eat red meat so I was skeptical about ordering carne asada tacos but I have to say I was very pleased with my choice. My boyfriend and i visited this restaurant while at white marsh mall, it was only about 10 minutes or so from the mall. When we drove up, there were several parking spots available, we were greeted by a friendly lady in the front by the cash register. Very pleasant and patient taking our orders. We did seat ourselves. I ordered the chicken and asada tacos on a flour tortilla (they typically come on corn tortillas, but prefer flour). The tacos come with cilantro, diced onions, and lime. My boyfriend ordered the chorizo, campanchanos (chorizo and beef) and spicy chicken tacos on flour tortillas without cilantro and with cheese. We ordered the guac with chips and a side of false verde as well. The guac and chips were really good. They kind of reminded me of the lunchables chips we used to have as kids. The tacos were unfortunately mixed up. My bf got 3 chicken tacos (with cheese and no cilantro, and onions) and i got his chorizo and chorizo and beef tacos with cilantro, onions. the asada taco that i actually ordered was really delicious. My boyfriend was so hungry, he finished all 3 without realizing till later that he received the wrong tacos. If he didn't have cheese on his tacos, this would be an easy switch. I love Mexican food and this is real, authentic Mexican cuisine! The owner in all his grand wisdom has decided to make his menu of only the select "favs" of his own and those that are traditional staples of Mexican culture. I talked to him a little about it and his choices and compared it to a few other Mexican restaurants that I've been to. Here you won't find shrimp on the menu, because has stuck with the fundamentals - chicken, pork, steak, etc. To start off your meal you have to try the Guacamole - it's delicious! The down side is that I would love it if it came with better chips - guess you can't be perfect. That was a distraction for me - this wonderful freshly made guacamole was served with salty generic tortilla rounds (not even light airy ones that you could eat all day). That was a little of a downer and I guess that makes me a "dip snob." Anyway... Fiesta Mexicana's take on the Chicken Quesadilla is unique...you get three tortillas made from pressed corn dough, then stuffed with (your choice of two fillings like Spicy Chicken, Mushrooms, Chorizo & potatoes, etc.), fried and topped with lettuce, queso and crema fresco. It was great! You have to try the Chilaquiles another true Mexican breakfast dish that is great any time of day. I could go on and on with different things that I love, because this is becoming one of my "To Go" spots, but I won't. I will, however, say for dessert you must, must try the Tres Leches cake "SO-YUM!" Me and my friend were looking for a nice local Mexican restaurant, I had a bathroom emergency and needed to go really bad with every intention of eating there. We go in and I try to find the bathroom and I am in and out in less than 2 min then get a seat to see the menu. We saw the the food was a little more expensive than we had hoped so we got up, smiled and said thank you to the very nice waitress woman, and made our way out. While we are walking to our car some very angry little man (not sure if it was the owner or not) followed us outside and proceeded to start yelling profanities at us. We were very confused as to why this man was being so aggressive and hostile toward us, and he was yelling something about us "using his property" and not buying anything. We had every intention to initially go for the food and I simply just had to use the bathroom. I tried talking to the man calmly and peacefully but he kept going on screaming and calling us assholes and threatening us. We decided not to engage or escalate the situation and just took the verbal violence and left. I understand if there was some confusion or some policy we misunderstood, but nonetheless this is not how you should ever treat people. I'm not sure if he was just having a bad day or if he is like this most of the time, but we will definitely not be returning. I hope he takes into account what he's done, and I really hope he doesn't treat anyone else how he treated us today. read more

I had three: one filled with chicken and black beans, one with chicken and cheese and one with peppers, mushrooms and cheese. I used to come here regularly. Lets face it. Legit mexican food is hard to come by and this place does about a good job as it gets for White Marsh. The tacos, nachos, and quesadillas are consistently fresh, tasty, and well made. Portions are average and the salsa verde and salsa roja are what kept me going here. The chicken is always tasty, and the genius thing about what's done here is that rotisserie chickens are bought and shredded by hand to be added to the dishes. Pure genius. Unfortunately, I had to knock this place down one star b/c on my last visit, I asked for 2-3 extra salsas of each. Granted, what they give you should be enough, but if you're a salsa fiend and latch on to places that know how to make it, you ask for extra b/c IT TASTES GOOD. Unfortunately, the owner didn't like that I asked for extra and he said that technically he should be charging me extra just for the ones I wanted. I get it. Free extra salsa for me, probably means free extra salsa for others, which leads us down the road of the dark hole of paying for more ingredients to support the salsa addiction of customers. I get it 100%. However, when I spend $25-30 on a meal, does extra salsa seem that important? Especially when you know I'm coming back. I respect the grind and the passion put into putting out a great product but a few extra salsas here and there shouldn't be a problem... right? read more

Always a go to!!! A friend and I discovered this place (when it was still the smaller restaurant a few years ago) and the owner was extremely welcoming and the customer service was great. He sat down with us and explained everything on the menu and some of the stories with us. We went there often during nursing school and he remembered us each time.
