Fun spot! Music on the patio and a great family atmosphere. Food and drinks are consistently delicious.

My family loves Fiesta Vallarta, the food is fresh, the staff friendly and hard working and the patio is exceptional. Unfortunately, we have not been able to eat at Fiesta since Dec 2019, because their health score fell to 80. Our daughter had a double-lung transplant Feb 1, 2019 and we can only eat at restaurants with a 90 or above score. I check the health rating periodically, so we can once again patronage our favorite Mexican restaurant. Fingers crossed! read more

My boyfriend and I went here on a fluke. Inside it looked dead, but the back patio was full of families enjoying dinner. I thought that was a pretty good sign. I don't think the restaurant was ready for the evening because they were super busy and running around a bit frantic. Perhaps they didn't have enough people working or they didn't expect so many people to want Mexican food, but they were so busy that they burned my boyfriend's arm with an incredibly hot plate when serving it to him. I thought the outdoor area was pretty cool. The margaritas were alright... I didn't taste much alcohol, but it was refreshing on a hot evening. Food was okay. I had the nachos and my boyfriend had shrimp tacos. I asked for no sour cream on the nachos, yet it came out with sour cream on it... not sure if they weren't listening or if there were just so busy they didn't double check. Stupendously awful. Filthy tables, inept staff, incompetent management. How hard can it be to bus tables tables full of crap so new customers aren't waiting around forever? In a tiny place why are you asking for people's phone numbers to text them when their table is ready when they are RIGHT THERE AND THE ONLY ONES WAITING? Oh, I get it - using an IPad makes you seem like a well run restaurant. WRONG!!! Can't you make a margarita with NO SALT and actually do it with NO SALT? What a joke this place is. Be personal. Be competent. Be professional. Be like Viva Sol with great food and a well run operation. We walked out of Siesta Vallarta, never to return, and went to Viva Sol. Yes, you may have to wait. The food it's self was good but very over priced for the amount and quality. Especially with the service on top of that the staff was very inconsiderate and rude. They refused to split our check when asked and made my friend come help figure out the math of the payment. Also with all that the waiters who worked there didn't pay ver much attention to us when we walked in. By the end someone new came over and said that they could split it after we fought for a while. Ambiance is nice. Beautifully decorated. Loved the patio in the back. Happened to be there on a night there was a big wedding party, so service was lacking. Took 20 minutes to get our drinks. My enchiladas were cold in the middle. Problem was fixed and they gave us free chips and guac, which were delicious, btw. My star rating for Fiesta isn't based on the food or drink, but really on the service. We got seated in the section of a waiter who was taking care of a 'wedding rehearsal dinner party' and we suffered for it. After getting our chips and salsa, and ordering, the waiter vanished. After nearly 10 minutes, and no cocktails, I went looking for him and found our drinks waiting at the bar. I explained my table, got our drinks, and brought them to my GF just as our food arrived. My food was excellent, my GF's cheese enchilada's were undercooked with cold solid cheese in the middle. They took her plate, and brought us guacamole in the meanwhile. I have passed by here many times thinking that I might give it a go, but waited until a friend invited me to dinner before trying it out. That was a mistake. I have apparently been robbing myself of some tasty meals and good entertainment. The house margaritas are good and strong. The food is good, not great, but I haven't been fully disappointed with anything. I recommend going on Friday and Saturday nights and sitting on the patio when they have live music. Waited for the waiter, waited, waited and finally came, we received chips and salsa and the chips were cold, We ordered a beer and a margarita, the beer was not ice cold and the Margarita was atop shelf and it had hardly any alcohol. We ordered the tostada with grilled chicken and a vegetarian. the vegetarian was good the grilled chicken was dry and not so good. The service was slow, and it was expensive for two people. We decided to go downtown to Fiesta Vallarta on a Monday evening. Sit outside enjoy the evening with some good food and drinks. As soon as we walked an older gentleman asked us if we wanted inside or outside. We said outside and the immediate response was "we have a problem. We have a big party of 80 coming in at 8:30. Can you be finished by then?" Not a problem we replied. We had an hour plus. For the rest of the time, it seemed they were more focused on getting ready for the big party than ensuring we were well served. I had to get up an inquire where our drink order was.Come on! Bad service is the number one reason why people don't return to a restaurant. For me the food was so-so, primarily as the chicken was overdone and the mole sauce could not hide or compensate for the dry state of the chicken. Disappointing. Love the location. But bad service and so-so food means it will take a lot for me to consider going back again. read more

The restaurant was chalk full of staff, but not a single one was helping the ONLY person working. My husband and I love this place. We go here for dinner at least once a week. Yummy margaritas and we always try to sit on the patio. It's been a great place to dine this summer. We used to frequent Palo Alto Sol (which we still love) and La Fiesta all the time, but Fiesta Vallarta is closer to our home and we just love the patio. We've never been here for lunch so don't know what that vibe is, but for dinner it's very casual and mellow. The Fiesta Tostada salad is delicious and huge, and if we're not quite so hungry, we each get the single entree dinner which is a perfect size. We've been here about a dozen times this summer and haven't had a bad meal yet. read more

Came in here for the first time and all of the workers saw me coming through the door & they were just starring at me and they didn't seat me, welcome me nothing & so what I did I walked up to get my own menu decided to give it another shot and two people came after me once I grabbed the menu and right away they grabbed the menu and seated those people and brought them there chips and asked them what they like to drink and I still never was able to get seated so I just went to the bar and got a drink, really horrible customer service, I work down the street but never coming back here again!!!!! This is a great little spot in downtown Los Altos. Ate here this past Sunday with a friend for the first time. The restaurant may look kind of small from the outside, but the outdoor patio in the back is huge. I ordered the chicken quesadilla, and it was one of the best and most filling quesadillas I've had in my life. My friend got a burrito plate and he definitely had leftovers for the next day. Today, I came back here and ordered my regular black bean and sour cream burrito again, but this time I told him "no guacamole" so many times, i'm sure he was starting to get annoyed. Among the four of us, one meal came out after 30 minutes of waiting. Half of the next came out 10 minutes later. Two more meals came out 10 minutes later, shortly followed by the remaining half of the second meal. I've eaten here dozens of times over 6 years. This is a local restaurant for my family. We are familiar faces to the mgmt. (but that doesn't count for much at Fiesta Vallarta). After many mediocre but $$$ visits, slow, indifferent service & other minor negatives, this last time the service was outright rude for no provoked reason. We decided to leave because the items we ordered were not available (they told us the kitchen was out of the item), but more important, it was extremely cold. The door to the patio was propped open for the convenience of the restaurant staff, we supposed. It was 50 degrees both outside and inside. The few patrons inside including me were bundled up in coats while people on the patio sat under portable heating towers. We considered moving outside to get warmer but opted instead to go elsewhere. When we told the manager we had to leave because we had really wanted the item we ordered and it was far too cold in the restaurant for us, he sneered and walked off. Said nothing to us. Just walked off. He had acted the same when informing us of the unavailable menu item, acting annoyed that he had to retrieve a menu so we could choose something else. It was all just very unpleasant. And at those prices in this economy, Fiesta Vallarta should be grateful and gracious to their patrons. Never again. Not worth it. read more

Decent food if you are in the area. I had the carne asada plate. The food was ok, but my major complaint was the massive amount of watery sauce that accumulated on my plate after it was delivered.
