Food is outstanding, guacamole is delicious, mole is the best! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Wonderful service and atmosphere[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Pretty yummy and cozy, family friendly Mexican food. Ordered the enchilades with salsa verde and it was quite yummy. Reasonably priced for Los Altos. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a nice outdoor seating patio as well in the back of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is quick and friendly.

This has been my go to place for good Mexican food for many years. I have never been disappointed with the taste or quality of my meals there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the outdoor patio seating area. Just the right amount out shade and Sun. If indoor is your thing or sitting at the bar, they offer this too[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Once, you are seated you are given good chips and salsa. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Another plus is after a good lunch or dinner you can walk it off in beautiful downtown Los Altos ![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only reason I didn't give Fiesta Vallarta a 5 Star Review is because unfortunately the service is lacking a bit. What use to be a friendly welcome has turned into a "meh"welcome experience. Cost has gone up but what hasn't !? Two Tosada Salads (1 Chicken / 1 Vegetarian) and 1 Arnold Palmer costed around $50.00. About the average now for a lunch for two in this area.

We love having dinner on the back patio when it's still warm at night. It was so nice having fresh chips, salsa and a slushy Strawberry Margarita and visiting with our friends. I ordered a combo plate with a chicken taco and fried Chili It came with either a side salad or rice and beans. Very delicious. Hubby had a mole dish. We had leftovers for lunch the next day----still yummy

Delicious Six of us had dinner here on New Years Day. We were happy to see they were open since we were in the mood for Mexican food. I had the carnitas. Juicy tasty chunks of pork accompanied with rice, beans and tortillas. Very tasty meal. Popo had the chili relleno and she says it was delicious. My wife and daughter both had the chicken enchiladas and they said they were yummy. My sons girls friend had the chicken burrito supreme. She said it was very good. The service was spot on too. Delicious chips and salsa Very wonderful restaurant with wonderful service.

Best tacos and Margaritas in Los Altos! This place was one of the best recommendations to check out downtown Los Altos. Fists Vallarta serve authentic Mexican food- delicious tacos, great margaritas and friendly staff. It's a must try when you're in the bay!

This was my third visit to Fiesta Vallarta and I still have no complaints about the service or the food. We were greeted and seated promptly and given the option to sit wherever we wanted. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even though it was a wet day, they were still seating on the patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We did opt for indoors, but hopefully the next visit will be on a better day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love to sit amongst the greenery and funky decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Chips and salsa were brought to the table quickly and I found myself becoming addicted to the salsa almost as quickly. They aren't trying to reinvent the wheel. The extensive menu features all the classic, comfort food standards. They have a choice combo plate I really enjoy--a chile relleno and mole enchilada. It was nothing short of delicious third time around. The chili was large and filled with plenty of melted cheese. Mole sauce varies from restaurant to restaurant, recipe to recipe and I have my places where I've tried it and it didn't work for me. I really enjoy Fiesta Vallarta's recipe, sweet but balanced to not be overly so. The enchilada was over stuffed with chicken, but it's easy enough to eat around. A combo plate is, of course, not complete without rice and beans. Rice had good flavor and I loved the runny texture of the refried beans. The pico de gallo topping the salad was great scooped onto a chip. I had to chuckle when I saw a full grown adult man taking some of his meal home in a doggie bag and I, at probably half his size, was sending back a clean plate. I came to eat and I conquered.

The pros: lovely service and backyard patio, red salsa with a nice kick, great michelada, solid carnitas chimichanga, and central Los Altos location. The cons: pricey, most of the dishes, including the chips, could have used additional seasoning, especially salt.

It was so tender and flavorful that it changed my entire opinion of asada. It's really that good! Their chips were crispy and not stale and I just love their self serve salsas. It's usually a hit or miss at Mexican Restaurants, but it's great here! Unfortunately, it seemed like the employee did not want to be there and I felt a bit uncomfortable but the food well makes up for it.

The restaurant is well decorated, feels lively, and is very dark. Maybe a bit too dark - we had to use our flashlight on our phone just to read the menu. We ordered a few items: - Guacamole 3.5/5 , tasted fresh but needs salt. - Ceviche 3/5 , A bit on the sweeter side than we would like - Verde Carne Asada Burrito meal: 4/5, pretty solid actually just wish the portion was a bit bigger for $24 - Steak Fajitas.... 1/5. My mother usually orders fajitas when we go out to eat at mexican restaurant, but we did not see it on the menu, so we asked the server if they had it and he said yes! Now we know why it's probably not on the menu... The meat was SUPER oily, I mean like drenched in oil, if you put a flashlight on the dish, you will quite literally see a puddle of oil at the bottom of the bowl. Second, the meat is very very tough and dry, similar to some meat you would reheat in the microwave after leaving it in the fridge for a few days. This dish is literally unacceptable and the worst part is the fact it costs $29. DO NOT ORDER THIS. Since, this was a dinner for an early mother's day. We did not want to cause any complaint or trouble to the restaurant as it was super packed. We just won't be coming back here anymore. The server himself was friendly, but man did the service suck. We had to flag down someone every time to bring water, chips, and the check. There was no staff check in ever. In fact, they actually lost my credit card and we were waiting around 10- 15 minutes to just get our check back. Everything took forever and the service was super slow. It was a lot of sitting and waiting for each thing. Losing my credit card and having us wait 10-15 minutes to get it back is unacceptable for a professional restaurant that is not on the lower end of things either.

We arrived around 10:00 a.m., and while the restaurant wasn't busy and there were plenty of empty tables available, we stood at the host stand for more than five minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Looking back, that should have been a sign of what was to come. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. We ordered simple breakfast items--a ham and cheese omelet with hash browns and toast, and a two-egg breakfast with hash browns and toast. When our meals arrived, the food was lukewarm to cold, and the toast had been replaced with bagels. The eggs were dry and overcooked, and the hash browns were soft and cold. Ironically, the best thing on the plate was the buttered bagel, which was at least fresh and soft. We also requested extra napkins, but they never arrived. For the price we paid, we expected a much better experience. Between the lackluster service and mediocre food, this was not a meal worth repeating. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Unfortunately, for this latest visit, I got a basic breakfast of two scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, and bagel, and half of the food was inedible. My eggs in particular tasted like they came from a powder mix. They were incredibly dry and flavorless and had a weird texture. My toasted bagel tasted stale and had an insufficient amount of butter, which has never happened to me before at any brunch spot. I asked for more to try and see if that would improve the taste. It did not. Service was lacking. They were not busy when I arrived at 8:30, but none of the servers were very engaged. My empty water glass sat empty for over 45 minutes and was never refilled. No server ever came by to check on us. I had to wave somebody down for the butter. And he did not refill my water at that time. I don't think I will be coming back. This very basic breakfast cost $17.95 before tax and tip. I did not eat most of the eggs, but none of the waitstaff commented on it or asked how the food was. I left most of my bagel as well. And my dining companion did not eat either her potatoes or any of her bagel. Not worth it.
