I called to schedule a flatbed tow in advance. They arrived on time but I had to call back to double check the ETA as I was on a time crunch. My vehicle was safely loaded, transported and off loaded by an experienced driver. Happy with that service. Keep in mind its a 1hr minimum fee rate and that includes the drivers time for heading back to their yard. Also, not all tow vehicles are 4x4 models so plan accordingly if you need one so no one gets stuck or else it will become more costly for you! Its good to know what type of tow you need and think about any situations that could arise for the driver and keep safety in mind. Ask questions and don't assume anything because this is a business for them and time is money. If questions cant be answered then find someone else. Always ask questions. read more

So my driver advised me to call fife because he wasn't registered owner. So I call and the dispatcher answers : she's super rude after I asked for an estimate and the hourly rate ! She responded .. They'll overcharge you and inconvenience you at every turn, not to mention make you wait an ungodly amount of time to move your vehicle or pay any fees. I contracted with them to pick my car up and tow it to BMW Northwest for service. On that morning, they started calling incessantly (4 times) to confirm at 6:45AM, implying I was a liar and going to break our agreement. They arrived late 7:30AM, got the car to BMW Northwest 8:30. The car was done, Shane called them to pick it up. They called me 2PM asked if they could hold the car in their lot until 6PM when the traffic got better (to "save" me money). At 7:10PM I called them to ask where my car was. Oh it's just leaving, Dale said. It's now 8:30, there is no sign of my car. I called again, and the gentleman on the phone said the car had not departed the yard until 8:12PM. They estimate it's arrival in 14 minutes. The WORST customer service and business experience I have had in years. I will NEVER do business with them again, and have suggested to the service manager at BMW Northwest they qualify a new towing vendor. They are liars. Their word is worthless. read more

I called on Saturday to pay for an impounded vehicle and was told to come down in person to pay so that they could witness my signature. I explained that it was my daughter's car and she would not be there. At this time it would have been a good thing to tell me that my daughter also had to be present for me to pay for the ridiculously expensive towing bill of more than $650. So I get there today after driving an hour and then they let me know that my daughter needs to be present in order for them to collect money from me? WTF? Who else does this? They held my car for nine days without contacting me after my car was stolen. They charged me over $1200 dollars for the nine days and they DID NOT NOTIFY. I'd had a police report out and everything. I asked them how this was possible and she said the tow was $300 and it was $98 per day. I explained my situation and she responded by saying I'd have to pay the money no matter what. Apparently even if I couldn't afford to get my car out, the holding fees would accumulate until the car went to auction. Then I would still likely be left with a debt from their overpriced holding fees. Wouldn't be such a big deal about the daily rate if they made any effort to contact owners after finding a stolen vehicle. But no, they just take as long as possible. She said she must have mailed the notice. I have not gotten any notice in the mail still, they notified police after nine days of having my car and police then told me. Hope and pray your stolen car never ends up in fife because this place really is terrible to me it feels like they are trying to scam! read more

My car was stolen near ST Joseph Hospital. The police in Fife recovered vehicle and it was towed to Fife towing. It was not drivable the woman at Fife told me. She told me impound fees would be close to 300, but not over that. The tow to my house in Puyallup and back would be $150. As I am handicapped, trying to get in an Uber is difficult. I have had to have cars towed in past locally. They have all allowed me to write a letter requesting my son be able to pick the car up. I told her that and I was left with impression that would be fine. I wrote the letter, gave it to him with my valid license, and my money card. He got to the lot and they refused to let him on lot. His ID was in his back pack in car when stolen. He explained this to them. He gave them my note stating he was OK to act as my agent but they refused it and stated note must be notarized. None of previous towing companies asked . They would not accept my bank card because I was not there to hand to them. Again not told to me so my son had to walk to a nearby 7-11 and get cash. My son holds a Power of Attorney which allows him to handle financial affairs if I am not able. Unfortunately, as we were not told this, my son did not have POA on him. Turns out cost for Impound fees were $400. Then the actual tow that was quoted as $155, became $155 per hour and she told us it was over two hours by the time she threw in charging starting when the driver started talking to my son about the car. What was quoted to me was $400 total became over $700. My son asked if car could just be pushed out gate and he would get friend with a car hauler to come help. He was quoted $105 just to push it through their impound gate. We went ahead had them tow and of course it ended up being more money than I had transferred from savings into checking/debit. My son called them when tow arrived. A woman he spoke with was extremely rude to him. Telling him the time he was spending talking was going against the drivers time. This was a very bad situation for me financially as I am a widow living on my late husbands military disability. I asked them if they gave a discount for Senior Citizen or widow of Vet who was disabled in line of service. I was treated like I was scamming them. It was the rudeness and misquoting of prices that I am sad about. They have you over the barrel as they will keep your and keep adding storage fees daily. If you use them, record the call when they quote you prices. Sorry this so long but they treated me as I was senile and misheard quote. I am old but not stupid. They stuck it to me. Tis the muddy season here in the PNW. After days of rain and picking up our 41' 5th wheel from the shop, I swung a tad bit too wide onto the farm access road and ended up stuck in our field, a mere 150' from its parking spot. So close but so far away. After calling Fife towing, and a round of pictures sent in, the driver showed up faster than I expected with a rig appropriate for the job. He was able to tow me and my 22,000lbs combined weight out of the mud like it was nothing. Needless to say the hiccup only set us back a couple hours. Without the speedy response from Fife towing, and it would have taken longer to get a response from AAA or Good Sam, we would have had a long night ahead of us. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF - WOMEN BEWARE! After 'Brian' arrived with the flat bed tow truck. My car would not shift to neutral due to the newer BMWs. I personally could not figure it out. He hooked my car to see if he could and would "tug it to see if it would move" the back rear tire ran over a large rock so it shifted and he panicked. Said he would have to get the other truck to tow. He then spent 45 mins trying to google on how to get my car in neutral. Took off the plate cover where my stick shift was to try and trouble shoot on how to get my gear to move to neutral AND he LOST my car FOB somewhere. We spent another 30-40 mins looking around the ground to find it and he decided to take off to get the "other tow truck". I tested my car to see if it would turn on to make sure the FOB was in the proximity of my car - power turned on so it was somewhere in there, which he thinks it may have fallen into gear box where the stick shift gears/wires are. We then drive approximately 5 MILES to Southend Auto Care - Great Auto Shop BTW (I was broken down by Taylor Ave in Port of Tacoma for those that know the area) 5 MILES and I got severed a bill for $345.00! So not only was I charged for Brian's time dicking around trying to trouble shoot my BMW, he lost my FOB which is approx. $500. The Manager Dave was extremely RUDE and CONDESCENDING and doesn't sound like he is able to handle problem solving as he complained about a rolled over garbage truck (not my issue). Come to find out by their office lady that Brian the driver said I instructed him not to put my car on the flat bed truck and insisted he retrieve the other tow truck. Really?! Not saying that most women know about these things, but why the "dip-stick" would I tell them how to do their job? All around I'd give them 0 Stars but I had to put something in order to post. I called Fife Towing to tow my trailer from the dealership.. 14 mile tow! They told me it was by the hour. $155.00 i figured ok fine... 14 mile tow cant be more than 1 hour right??? Come to find out i had to pay from the time they left the shop till the time they got back to the shop..As much as i was charged, im sure i bought him dinner as well!!! Driver shows up, took 15 mins just to get him hooked on to the trailer. I was trying to guide him back to the hitch and he was missing it by 2 feet or better each time... after 5 times he says "he was watching the camera" I called it just slow-walking...I've backed up MANY people to MANY hitches and that was just prolonging a simple situation... Next, they knew the size of the trailer as i gave it to them in advance. they should've showed up with a truck with sway bars and didn't so it was a sketchy tow as i was ridding with the driver. The trailer was swaying all over the place... I had just paid 32k for it and the driver told me that he was advised to not drive over 50 miles an hour because it was an unsafe tow without sway bars being 8k pounds and 28ft long...They should've had sway bars!!!!!!!! for sure...That's the professional way to do it!! Total bill was $340 from point A to point B. 14 mile tow... Super shady! I understand business is business but $150.00 would've been more than fair since it was a 20min tow. DO NOT USE THIS TOWING Company My van broke down. I was towed 3 miles from fife to Tacoma. Around 35 minutes of interaction and was charged $205. Yup $200 bucks for 35 minutes of work. The driver and company responded I have to pay for the drivers time going there and back. That is their reasoning. I'm no young chicken. I"ve been towed before. My son was involved in a serious rollover accident when he was hit from behind on I5 today. He was hospitalized and his car was towed by this company. We went to have the car moved from their property today. They are charging almost 1000 dollars for us to take the totaled car. The car was towed les than 5 miles. When our fermentation vessels for our new brewery arrived to us sandwiched into a tiny shipping container, we were unable to figure out how to retrieve them. A week's worth of searching, negotiating with the shipping company and the manufacturer left us with very few safe options, none of which were affordable. Then we came up with another plan and called local tow companies to see if they could help us get the vessels out with a flatbed truck. Fife Towing responded promptly, were very helpful, and were able to understand from the outset what we were asking for and what their capabilities would be. I called to tow my truck from FIFE , I was told 180+ per hour. Fine. The disappointment came when I specifically gave instructions to exactly where I was at and the dispatch called me asking where I was I repeated myself and driver came 15mins later when he should have gotten to me earlier , Tow gets to me load my truck then tells me he needs to back my truck off because my truck is on the belt- that is not my fault again minutes are being charged on me. I asked him if I can direct him to another address with no additional charge he says ok bc the address I gave him was not to far from my original address. The time I was charged is dissappointing , all this could have been avoided if the driver and dispatch were in commuication to lessen the time and it to lift my truck on the belt and had to take my truck back off is not my fault but the time is still being charged. The truck gets to my destination and I ask the driver pls park it a certain way he turned around came back to the destination only to find out it needed to parked another direction I asked him and he was irritated. Once my truck was parked he stayed in his tow truck for an extra 15 minutes after all is done he says 2hours $407- Poor time management on your company, lack of experience and I eat the cost! Not to mention the tow truck seemed bipolar he was irritated then he was polite then he was smirky then he was polite again. I will never use your services again. read more

Twice in my life Fife Service & Towing has come to my rescue. This amazing family owned business is a gem within the Fife community. They are always so kind, helpful and welcoming. They truly make tire changes and towing experiences a bit more manageable. Because let's be honest who has time for a flat or a collision? Over ten years ago while I was in high school I got a flat on 72nd in Tacoma. Unable to access my spare, my parents being out of town, it being very late in the evening all while being on an extremely dark road, so I called Fife towing. In less than a half an hour Tom came and managed to get my tire pulled out of my trunk and put back on in just a few minutes. Then just this week my husband was moving our brand new 40 ft trailer and got it extremely stuck. Needless to say, Fife Towing and Service fixed the problem in no time at all. And all it took was a phone call, a few photos and a super hero named Tom and faster than my husband had called to tell me of the disaster FT&S had the trailer out of the mud and back onto solid ground. They charged me almost $700 for the fees with the reason that it requires two tow trucks for 2 attempts when they couldn't explain to me exactly why two tow trucks for my small vehicle only 11/2 mile away from their place.. Our experience was dis appointing and so was the customer service. Comparing their pricing with other companies we found they were more than 70% higher than the three others we checked. Was in a car accident and was right down the fife corridor, the police office Gary Gooch recommended we tow the truck to fife towing. The tow truck driver was a very nice man and helped me out and was told my truck would be kept for safekeeping at their lot until insurance took care of it. Was told I would be billed at a daily rate of $48.00, fine with me. Went out of town for a week and when I got home, there was a letter from the state of Washington saying my vehicle would be sold at auction if not claimed!!! Had I known this they would potentially sell my crashed truck, I would have had it towed to my house! Worse customer service ever, the smart cookie I talked to on the phone said he's never even heard of Covid-19 and that he has no sympathy as to why things are taking longer than I expected. Sure I wasn't friendly over the phone, but neither would you be if you thought they were safekeeping your car, but find out you've got less than 2 weeks before your car is sold at auction. This company took advantage of me. I broke down early this morning and thought this was the tow company that my insurance company called. They are very misleading!!! They charged me an arm and a leg for a 10 minute ride back to my place. I was not even suppose to pay anything out of pocket because I have road side assistance!!! When I found out that they were not the company my insurance company called, I spoke with the manager (David) and he got very defensive. I told him that I was not happy with how I was taken advantage of. He said the Fife Police had contacted them. The Fife Police knew I had placed a call to my insurance company.
