Wonderful little shop in North County. Found all the Filipino supplies I was looking for and a couple other items I hadn't seen at 99 or 88 Ranch. Definitely found my go to place. Prices were more than fair and selections were plentiful. They keep the store tidy, the shelves well stocked and everyone at the shop was friendly and helpful...even the other customers. Filipino Depot is a great small local store to get your Filipino (and other Asian) needs in San Marcos. Definitely recommend swinging by if you need a few quick items. They had way more items than I thought they would! They have your basic filipino condiments, canned items, snacks and drinks, but also have lots of pastries and veggies. I was surprised to see them have portos items as well -- I'd imagine they tend to rotate those out. The family that runs the store is really sweet, and for their 12 year anniversary theh gave us an extra drink for free. They're really friendly and helped us out when we were looking for specific items! It's a small store, but there were a lot of folks when I went around 5pm. They do have shorter hours than other places so keep that in mind when you go! I'll definitely be frequenting Filipino Depot! read more

I used to go to a small market in San Marcos to get Kamaboko for my son's favorite ramen dish. When I went recently I noticed they had closed but Filipino Depot came up as a possible option. This was my first time in a Filipino Market and I thought it was a long shot to find what I needed. I was warmly greeted by those inside and offered help right away. And they carried Kamaboko (it's in the back freezer section). I was so pleasantly surprised! I picked up Ramune sodas (another of my sons favorites) as well as Ube candy, Ube Mochi and delicious chocolate/saltine sweet snacks. I can't wait to return and spend more time looking at all the delicious foods, including their section of sweet breads. Such a hidden gem! read more

They've always treated me nicely here compared to Seafood City. Being raised in the U.S. doesn't make any less than natives. This store has everything you'd ever need! Perfect sari sari store in the middle of north county. They keep their products fresh, and always have new things coming in! Not friendly at all. I parked in the 20min spot in front of their store. I was going to run in next door to get a gift card then shop at their store. Mind you this is a generic 20min parking spot.. this is not THEIR store parking only. The man runs out and yells at me to move my car..? I was confused and agreed to move it just because I hate confrontation. However, I was literally going into their store... so I decided to get my gift card next door and do my shopping elsewhere. This is a good place to get Filipino ingredients and snacks on a pinch. Staff is friendly and they have about everything you could expect from a Filipino store whether it be frozen, canned, or dry goods. They also have a good selection of baked items. Small place packed with really good Filipino stuff.

After leaving a nearby food place, we decided to walk around and found this gem of a store hidden in a strip mall. It is stocked full of Asian and Filipino foods and drinks. We bought everything from lumpia, spicy headless anchovies, shrimp chips, filipino candies, milk teas and lychee drinks, bone marrow ramen, and mango pudding. Helpful and knowledgeable staff, great prices, and will definitely be back. read more

Be warned: You will come out here with everything they have on there shelves. Well atleast thats what happened for me and my wife when we stopped by here once. Filipino has been around for a while now. The current owner is the best one so far! She tries to get as much orders as possible. When she doesn't have what you're looking for she tries to find a way to get it. This store is sells mostly everything I grew up with when I lived in the Philippines. Whenever I'm feeling for a snack or food ingredients or baked goods I go here for sure. It's convenient location in north county. Came here for the first time to get some items I needed that another place didn't carry. And I googled what time they opened and everything and they open at 10am. I've been here for about 20 minutes thinking they would open on time but I guess they're running on "Filipino time". Just a really bad impression of their store. I went across the street to the Phil-Asian Market and they were open before their listed time 10am. I would suggest going there if you want good customer service but if you want teenagers coming in late to open the store come to this place! read more

This place is pretty awesome. Me and my fiance were just cruisin down the street one day and stumbled upon them. They're a tiny store but have a really good selection. They had all my favorite filipino goodies, which was awesome since there's no seafood city, family lumpia or manila seafood anywhere near. They had all the stuff i need to make my pancit, they're prices were pretty good. I'll most def be going back once i move up here. And their customer service was pretty damn awesome. read more

This place is great! Im Mexican and i love culture and appreciate other cultures as well. This place seemed very rich in culture. I walked in and found the whole family working in the little store, everyone was very friendly and helpful too, they explained to me what a couple of things were and what they tasted like and what they thought i would like most. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! I like the customer service they provide, the store is really bright and clean. They pretty much have everything that I was looking for such as Asian, Hawaiian and Pacific Islander products. I love the frozen Lumpia, too many selections. They also have a Travel Agency, Income Tax, Cargo Boxes and Fresh Produce. Their prices is pretty similar to Seafood City so I don't have to drive 30 miles, saving my time and money.
