Cozy little diner with good service, American breakfast and Mexican American meals are their best. Mostly a neighborhood place, but it's worth a little trip if you need to throw off your cholesterol ratio. Fresh, hot, high caffeine coffee, the kind of waitresses you must over tip, no nonsense. You'll miss the specials board if you only look forward on entry, so turn around and look.

Nice small diner with great food and service. Stopped in on a wet and cold Monday and the day definitely got better. Portions are good sized and very tasty. We will be back again.

I thought I would try this place for breakfast on my quest to try as many breakfast places around. The place was empty at 8am and I had the whole place to my self, this might be a bad sign. This place is really small with a small number of booths and tables. I did like that they tried to give the place a modern look with red walls and black and red booths. There was a balance of light wood on the floors and walls to contrast the bold red walls with mix match art on the walls. The menu is not super large but it has enough to please most people. The meat lovers skillet caught my eye and that's what I would have with Texas toast. The meat lovers skillet was a good size with three eggs topping it off. This is a greasy spoon for sure because there was a pool of lube on the bottom of the plate as I started to get deeper into it. The skillet was hot with the melty cheddar cheese making for a good show. The skillet had bacon, sausage, ham, cheddar cheese over tender hash browns. The smokey ham was the prevailing flavor in the skillet for sure. The option of Texas toast was awesome because it's my fav and it was perfect. Overall the breakfast was tasty but the pool of lube under the food was not needed and they could use less in cooking the skillet. The service was good so I can't complain about that. The whole breakfast was very reasonable at $7.76 for a plate full of food.

No frills, hole in the wall diner that serves a solid breakfast. I love a place that offers hash browns and these here are crispy and buttery and so good. Overall we really enjoyed our breakfast at Filis Cafe.

This a family owned restaurant that is located in a very convenient área, but easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. The first time that I heard about this restaurant was from my mom and she loved thier Turkey Club sandwiches. It comes with the Turkey Club, fríes, soup/salad, and a dessert for a very reasonable price. So she brought some home a couple of nights and believe it or not, the portions of food were very generous and my mom and I split the meal between the two of us. So I finally decided to actually go sit down in the restaurant and order our usual, the Turkey Club Sandwich Meal. I was very pleased at how courteous and polite our waitress was. She even remembered that my mom had visited a few times and remembered her order exactly how she orders it. Our food was delicious and fresh. I haven't tried any other menú ítems, but I am definitely a patron now. They just started serving brunch on the weekends so when my family comes to visit later this month, we are going to get it a try. I am so excited to introduce my family to a family owned restaurant that I enjoy! Tiny little place with great food and service. Specials all have a Mexican flair. The breakfast skillets actually are baked in a hot cast iron skillet. Super bonus points for that.

A little hidden gem in cudahy for a great breakfast. Its small about 6 booths but it's cool never had to wait. Had a the filis omelet and it was delicious. Hefty portions I was really pleased. Service was super friendly and the food came out fast and hot. Definitely will be hitting this place up again for a good breakfast.

I usually get served by a younger guy, but have had a few other servers from time to time. They have all been great. Friendly, attentive. No complaints. Food - Fresh and hot. It's a diner, so I'm not expecting them to reinvent the wheel. I am getting exactly what I'm expecting and it's been great every time. Price - More than fair. I'm spending under $30 for two coffees and two meals. That is a steal in Bay View. Environment - Relaxed and always clean. I've been there several times a year for the past few years, but not enough to be a regular. I am always treated well as a walk in customer. This is a great restaurant. I've recommended it to many friends and family!

The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and our server was incredibly kind and attentive. Since we were in a hurry, we ordered our breakfast sandwiches to go, and we were impressed by how quickly everything was prepared without sacrificing quality. The sandwiches were fresh, delicious, and exactly what we needed before our travels. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable, making this an even better experience. Great food, friendly service, and fast turnaround. I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Well, because it's not! Inside the place was hopping with a nice crowd of people. Still was able to get in and seated immediately. Place decorated for 4th of July and wasn't gaudy but fun. Lots of wood and you can sit at the bar if you want. Nice selection on the menu but since it was Friday we ordered the fish. Hubs had the fried cod and I had the baked. Portions totally filled your plate and were very good. Fried cod came with lots of fries which Hubs said were tasty and the baked cod came out served with rice and vegetables. Cole Slaw wasn't good but that seemed the only real issue. For some reason they served a slice of marbled rye with the fried fish but I don't think that's necessary. Prices for fish were really good and I think if you had gone to a higher end restaurant you would have paid around $10 more for the same dish. Overall a good experience and I'd come back again if we're in the area.

My family was flying back home on a Friday night and I had to pick them up from the airport in Milwaukee, so I needed dinner somewhere nearby. Final Approach has an all you can eat beer battered cod special on Friday nights, so that was my choice. I went with potato pancakes for the side. Both the potato pancakes and beer battered cod were fine. I've had better versions of both elsewhere. For an all you can eat option, though, it was more than adequate, especially by the airport as it would be busy enough without the AYCE option. Likely I'll try somewhere else if I find myself in the area on Friday night again.

The prices are reasonable and the amount of food to me is perfect. You don't get an overload, you get enough with some leftovers at times. We were there for breakfast and they have a person that he comes around asking if you need more coffee. More restaurants need this type of employee. One of my pet peeves is not getting asked if I need more coffee. I am not one to sit and drink a pot, but I will want a second cup. He also cleans the tables, but he makes sure everyone is served first. The servers are so darn nice, they all have smiles and are honestly there to help and serve you. It is a change from what is in other restaurants. Breakfast, depending on what you get, you get a choice of potato or pancake. He had 2 eggs over medium, bacon, you get 4 pieces made just as we like, and hashbrowns. I got homemade cornd beef hash, American fries, 2 eggs over medium. The server asked if we wanted to add onion to the potatoes, and yes of course we do. You also get your choice of toast, they have several types of bread, or pancake. The eggs were made to perfection as was everything else. I was a bit surprised to get asked for potato as corned beef hash has potato in it, but there was not a lot of potato, it was a lot of corned beef and it definitely was home made. Their hours are Monday closed, Tues-Thurs 8-2:30, Fri 8-8, Sat and Sun 6:30-2. We were there Sunday at around 10 and when we left it was getting busy. We did stop by last month for lunch, he had a reuben and I had a tuna melt, both were fantastic. The service was great as always also.
