The Scarlet Vetter says.... I had a few hours to kill in Boston before needing to catch my flight back home. I looked for good seafood restaurants, and this one was recommended on Yelp, so I went to check it out. Located in the hotel Dagney, it is spacious with a long inviting bar. I sat at the bar and was greeted relatively quickly by the bartender, who then poured me my requisite class of pinot noir. I decided to order dinner there and was very intent on having good seafood so I ordered the seafood tower, which was delicious along with the sausage and pepper flatbread. The tower came with 12 delicious oysters with 2 sauces and plenty of fresh lemons. For chambo, shrimp and some delicious tuna tacos and lettuce cup wraps. Frankly, everything was delicious, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the flavors and presentation, including the flatbread pizza style dish. I would definitely go back to this restaurant when in Boston again!

My husband and I stopped into Fin Point Oyster Bar + Grille for a drink while watching Game 7 of the World Series, and it was the perfect spot! We ordered an espresso martini and a mule, and both were absolutely delicious. The bartender was fantastic -- friendly, attentive, and created such a great vibe at the bar. The atmosphere overall was lively and welcoming, exactly what we were hoping for. Only thing that would've made the night better is if the Blue Jays had won the World Series! We'd definitely return the next time we're in Boston. Cheers!

We stopped in at Fin Point, while staying at the Dagny, before heading out for the night because we saw that they were doing $1 oysters as a happy-hour special. The cost of the cocktails made up for the $1 oysters deal, but it's Boston (what can you expect). The service was nice and the drinks were good!

I honestly would rate the service 3.5, cheerful bar staff but if I didn't ask for my area to be cleaned/ wiped down that was clean it wasn't going to happen. We couldn't order appetizers and drinks at the same time, one at a time. Which is a bit different. We tried the bacon scallops that were not bad, I like crispy bacon, but they may have been overdone a bit. I enjoyed the Wagu burger the onion jam and garlic aioli were delicious. My company had the steak frites at medium well which turn out more on the well side. For being a restaurant in the hotel lobby it was worth the visit.

The food is delicious, but the service is very slow. Unfortunately, our server forgot about us after we had ordered, and wasn't as attentive throughout our dinner. For the price point, they're selling, I would hope that they would have a better service.

Food was good, service was fine. Saw a few reviews that said service was bad we didn't experience it. Not sure how would order the tacos again, the tuna was mashed up, I thought it was going to be sliced.

I had dinner here on a recent business trip. The ambience is very nice. The restaurant is dark and classy-looking, and the bar area seemed popular (but not too loud) with the after-work local crowd. I ordered the salmon and wish my fish had not been a bit bigger as it was a small portion, but otherwise, everything tasted good. I enjoyed the chocolate mousse dessert. The service was friendly and attentive. I would return if in the area.

Dined in on a Wednesday evening. When we arrived for reservation, we were quickly seated. Because it was December, the restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays. I had a glass of wine and the jumbo raviolis, which were flavorful and filling. Great spot for drinks or dinner, especially for those staying in the hotel.

Very good clam chowder. Good little spot. The Cobb salad was good, wish it had more bacon though. The burger was also very good.

I was in Boston for a few days visiting my brokers and this is one of the places my marketing coworker chose for one of the meetings. Right off the bat, it's gorgeous when you walk in. We got a hightop table close to the bar and there is plenty of tables to sit at. The first thing I had to order was the espresso martini. It was about 1 or 2 in the afternoon and it was so windy there, I needed something to warm me up but also help me continue for the next few mins we had planned for the rest of the day. The staff/server was fantastic! She was so fantastic, we didn't even see her drop off the drink - the drink just appeared LOL. We decided on picking a bunch of appetizers and sharing it amoung ourselves while we chat and introduced me as their new Underwriter. We decided on their Calamari, tuna tacos, bacon wrapped scallops, steak spring rolls appetizer and the main entree of Beet Salad to split between the table. The presentation was amazing and the food tasted delicious. There was no bad plates at all. (I would've taken pictures but I wasn't ready to have my brokers know that I do yelp on the side LOL - I also don't want them to find my page to understand how much I REALLY enjoy food haha) Anyways, the food was delicious and I'm so glad I got the chance to try this place. Highly recommend this place for meeting with your clients or a simple date night. I wouldn't mind seeing how this place would be like in the evening.

I made reservations for a Monday night and arrived on time. The restaurant was a bit empty understandably because it was a weeknight. I made eye contact with some of the servers and wait led a couple of solid minutes before the hostess came over. The food came out pretty fast. Calamari - very bland and not very good Oysters - cold, fresh, and clean. Above average Clam chowder - this was okay Chicken entree - delicious (slightly over salted) but well cooked Salmon entree - also cooked well but portion size was a bit small. And the vegetables and sauce didn't seem to complement the fish Steak frites au poivre - my son said it was delicious and he ate it all. While the food was 3.5 stars overall. I did not feel welcome. The general manager went around checking in with guests at different tables making his rounds on 2 separate occasions. AND he ignored our table, twice. Our server was nice but not the most attentive. She seemed genuine and was apologetic when she took a long time to settle the bill (she said she was a bit understaffed). The decor was very nice and upscale, but the vibe was off since we walked in with no greeting from the staff and longer wait for the hostess and to the manager ignoring us.

Great location near the pier and has the romantic vibe with tall ceilings, and darker ambiance lighting. Service was not too shabby but could have been a tad more attentive to match the vibe and pricing. Food was excellent! The bacon wrapped scallop was amazing. The lobster ravioli was very tasty too. Six pretty good side ravioli per serving. The oyster on half shell were fresh. Would return again if we are in town.

Their menu online looked great and we were able to walk in with no reservations early on a Friday night, although they were starting to fill up more as we left. The crab cake was delish & my baby devoured most of it. The salmon salad was tasty but the salmon itself was very salty, salt was literally all I could taste. The lettuce was very crisp and fresh and everything else was good so I didn't feel the need to complain also with the consideration that the chef intended to make the salmon salty to pair with the rest of the dish. The vibe was nice, a bit elevated. My server Michael was great! I would definitely order the crab cake again and try many other items on the menu that all looked superb. Thanks Moxies!

We were seated immediately, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and Sarah, our waitress, was top-notch--friendly, helpful, and genuinely delightful. We started with the Maple Glazed Brussels Sprouts, which were so yummy. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the Spicy Tuna Dynamite Roll and absolutely loved the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. I had the Vegetarian Power Bowl, and it was one of those meals you remember long after the trip is over. Since Moxies was just a few steps from our hotel, we thought it would be the perfect place for lunch before heading back to Arizona. We were offered a table inside or on the second-floor patio, and we chose the patio. Maybe that was our mistake. From the moment we sat down, it felt like a completely different restaurant. The atmosphere was very casual, but unfortunately so was the service. Our waitress was forgetful, clueless, and at times borderline disrespectful. Our food arrived completely cold after apparently sitting for over 30 minutes, yet there was no acknowledgment of the delay--not even a simple apology. I honestly couldn't believe this was the same place we had raved about the night before. If I were reviewing only our dinner, this would be an easy 5 stars. But I can't ignore what happened the next day. Maybe we were just unlucky. Maybe the patio has a different rhythm than the dining room. I really don't know. I just wish our last memory before heading back to Arizona had been as wonderful as our first.
