Final Destination called me on a Sunday morning four days before my moved and changed my estimate from $3,500 for a one bedroom to $9,000. I told them just to forget it because it was clearly fraud (should have listened to the reviews) and they kept my $1,800 deposit. Absolute bait and switch. They made a bad deal with the carrier and then tried to get more money out of us. I understand an extra $1,000, it's the way of the game, but to more than double our cost four days before we move from California to Florida? It's criminal. Actually criminal. The guys name was Micheal and he basically told me I would be screwed if I didn't use them. I found a last minute mover for $5,000. Never use this service. We're going to sue them for the deposit. When I moved, I decided that even though we had a good experience with a previous cheaper mover that I wanted to spend a little extra since we had more valuable items I wanted to move properly. We had a large leather sectional, treadmill and other items I was concerned about. That mover charged about $300. I paid these guys $600 to move me into a house I recently purchased. On one issue, more than a month later, I await a resolution though I am not holding my breath. The first 60 percent of our move was fine. The last 40 percent was a frustration. I told them to take care of my couch especially because it is fairly new. They were nice about it and made assurances it would be fine. They wrapped the center of it in plastic and left the rest exposed. I thought OK. Not exactly what I thought was gonna happen but I am paying them well so I will let it go. They had to break down/take apart my treadmill to get it out of the building. Fine. But they did not seem to know how to do it which worried me. They figured it. No bid deal. We get to my new house and I showing them where to put everything. Mostly that went fine though I wish on somethings they asked for more direction if they were not sure what to do. I look at my couch and it was not hooked up as they had found it. In other words the pieces that are a pain to latch together were not done. And there was a scratch along the side - a part that was not covered by the plastic. I bite my tongue and let them finish. The very last item is my treadmill. I left them along to put it back together and went to a different room. They're ready to go and asked how everything went. I pay and share that I am really annoyed about the scratch on my couch. They say nothing . I pay. They leave. I walk back to the area where the treadmill is - again, the very last item they brought in before they asked for my payment - and it is disassembled! Just sitting in parts on my floor. I call their boss, Tom I think. I mention this and that someone had to actively make the choice not to assemble and leave because it was the last item brought in. He says he will call them to come back and fix it. Cool. I also mention my couch. He says not to worry. They are insured. Someone will be in touch soon to repair it. I was satisfied with that and thanked him. That was more than a MONTH ago. Now I get no responses to my emails. Back to the treadmill. So I watch them this time and apparently one of them doesn't know I am watching because his back is to me. He pulls some plastic thing out of his pocket and throws it on my floor. I pick it up and tell them that was not necessary. They get defensive. They leave and I still have heard nothing about the repair of my couch. I would not recommend them. My daughter used Finale Destination, they picked her stuff up on May 19th going from WI to OK. My daughter got to OK on May 21st. No movers ! Today it is now June 10th and she still has not gotten her stuff she had them move. They keep giving her the RUN AROUND that she can only talk to one person about this, what a bunch of bull. We are ready to get a lawyer on them and they can pay the lawyer fees !!!! Read some other reviews and none are good. This company is horrible and nothing but a scam. We hired them to move us from North Dakota to Arizona. They said they had a truck dropping off in the state on Wednesday and we would get a call either Wednesday or Thursday from the driver to come load. We had closed on our house on Wednesday but had until Friday to get our stuff out. We never received a call from any driver (ever) but we called multiple times between Wednesday and Friday and were told over and over that they would be there. Finally on Friday, we were told there was a weather delay (the sky was completely clear and we rented a Uhaul and drove ourselves and the entire route was clear). They never intended to move our stuff. It was nothing but a scam. And then on Friday, when they didn't show up, they said in the moving industry they can't control when a driver will show up. Really? We've moved multiple times with several different companies and NEVER had a driver not show up. So anyway, they stole our 33% deposit and refuse to refund after they screwed us over. Overcharged us about $4000. Padded our estimate (ex. included 30 bookcases, but we only have 7). They said the movers would adjust - they didn't. Instead the movers increased the price! When I called to resolve after the move, Final Destination told me that I had to work with the moving company (Unlimited Moving) to get a refund. Moving company told me that I had to work with Final Destination for a refund. I have wasted many hours trying to get a refund and I am still trying. In addition, FInal Destination Moving Customer Service is worthless, the supervisor actually yelled at me and hung up. I have sent many emails and voicemails - no response. I decided to go with the final destination moving and storage based on the reviews I've read, unfortunately it has been a total headache and money drained down the toilet. My quote was done by Jeremy Bowman he was very nice over the phone, pushy at the same time but I understand they try to get customers. Based on the trucks coming in from my area which makes you think your moving should arrive within a few days I decide to use them. The "binding quote "they tell you the price is locked right?, well think again, when the quality assurance guy called and went over my inventory as a mistake from Jeremy my binding quote went up by $1500 of course I was upset and I thought that would be it, oh no, more headaches to come. The moving guy was supposed to call within 48 hours before pick up that didn't happen instead I got a call from my dispatch who informed me of the truck had an issue and as a result they have to work with a third party company which meant another $500 extra for the inconvenience and reroute like that was my fault. The move-in date the cubic feet went up and resulted in another $850 more, All State is the third party. It has been 15 days, I have called several times no one knows anything about when my moving arrives. Today I have finally talked to somebody and they said it could take another two more weeks can you believe that? Unbelievable. So if you want to save yourself a headache many of them and save your money do not hire final destination they are just a broker company and their five star reputation is a lie, I would give 0 star if I could. read more

When I called to inquire regarding why our move was so much more, I was told that Devon would need to speak with her manager about it and get back to me. She never called back. I called and left several voicemails and never got a call back. When I did finally call back, Devon's manager preceded to yell at me over the phone, assumed that I was looking for a refund and assured me I was not getting one, then hung up on me. They gave me a quote of of approximately $2400.00 and took a $1000.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. Then they called and told me that they "forgot" to add labor. The quote then went to over $4000 and they said I needed to send another $1000. I told them all the logistics- third floor apartment in a building that had a sidewalk to the street. I estimated all my belongings and they listed them. He said if we went over with the estimate I could get some money back. Therefore, I sold things like my bed, my dresser, a tv, a recliner and got the list smaller. THEY WERE THREE DAYS LATE GETTING THERE. I was there alone and they told me that they were not aware of my third floor apartment and charged me on the spot... and I had to venmo $300.00 more dollars. Then when they loaded my house- they told me that i was almost 200 cubic feet over and they then gave me a final estimate of over $5000.00 and they are not even sure when they will get my things to me. I had an unexpected cancellation from the moving company I originally had scheduled for my move (recommended by a friend) I found Final destination by a quick google search, I called with very low hope but to my amazement they were able to squeeze me, thankfully! We hired final destination and a whole another company came to our home. That company charged us another 6,000. How do you hire one company and another one shows up. They asked us what is the time that you need your stuff in Fl. We advised them a week. We ended up calling them and finding out our stuff will not be here for another week. Now it's the final day of the week for them to come and still haven't received a call, a text or email stating when our items will be delivered. We finally called today asking when will they show up and he tells me they will call us by the end of the day. I was quoted $2700 for a move, with special discounts if I lock in the price right away with a 30% deposit. When the moving company shows up, they said the move would cost $15,000, without acknowledging any of the so called discounts. When I called Final Destination regarding the outrageous 500% price increase, the call reps just say, deposit is non-refundable. One rep gave me the number for a manager. I called and left a few voice mails for that manager but they never called back. This moving broker is a scam: they provide very low quotes to lure customers into paying a non-refundable deposit. Then, the move either does not take place because the final price is unacceptable or it takes place at a vastly higher cost than even other moving companies would charge. Either way they profit. I opened a dispute with my bank on the electronic withdrawal for the non refunded $900 deposit and they opened a case to investigate. The bank may refund my deposit as a courtesy in part or full. The bank has also issued a scam alert on charges made by Final Destination, which will hopefully forewarn other customers going forward. read more

We bought our first home and this moving company totally ruined the experience! We were only moving to the next street so we decided to save our back on the big stuff. We took everything apart in advance to make it as simple as possible. The Movers showed up late and were just standing around a lot...my husband did more work than they did and they clearly were stretching it to the quoted time. It was one of movers first day and they did not communicate well with each other at all. The broke a piece of furniture, put a huge hole in our wall, scratched up our brand new washer and had very poor attitudes. Upon speaking with manager she was not apologetic or empathetic and was pretty rude as well. She said "this kind of stuff happens in a move and legally we don't have to repair your items" then proceeded to tell me some legal jargon without showing an ounce of care about my new dresser, washer and wall being damaged. She did say she would send some to fix the items but made it seem like she was doing us a favor. What was the worse thing about this entire experience was the awful customer service and lack of understanding. I would never use this company again. read more
