Nice place for brunch! The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The recommended Chorizo and Sweet Potato Hash was good and light even if the sweet potato hash was just a little too sweet for me. A plain Fried Chicken Sandwich by request was perfectly crunchy accompanied by well seasoned fries. Parking next door in the public parking lot is free for the first 90 minutes which should be enough time for you to enjoy your meal comfortably. read more

Really wonderful. Have been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally had the chance to stop in. Came by during happy hour on a Thursday and the bar and lounge were packed within a fun and lively crowd. Great happy hour 4-6; we got margaritas which were excellent, just $10; a delicious rockfish aguachile for $12, and a half dozen oysters - just $1 each on Thursdays, 4 pm til they run out. 4.5 stars Food was excellent. We had breakfast here on a Saturday morning in late January. Everyone very much enjoyed their meal. Service was very friendly but also quite inattentive. Twice I had to wave our server down: once so we could order as he had not come back and once to repeat my request for a cup of coffee. It was not busy, only a few tables had customers, and he was chatting up another server/hostess for several minutes before I could catch his eye. He was very friendly though. Ambiance is okay. Brunch - mine and my boyfriend's favorite meal of the day. I was celebrating my birthday in Santa Barbara for the weekend and saw the great reviews here. It's located inside the Kimpton Hotel and about a block away from State St. (Downtown SB). There's a public parking structure just a few steps away from the restaurant. NOTE: Yelp business says they're open at 8am on Saturdays however when we got there the employee said 9am. I believe the same applies for Sunday. I did not see them seating anyone upstairs on the rooftop, as indoor dining seems to be open now. We had the nicest waiter, I forgot his name but he was great! He gave us suggestions and seemed to know the menu really well. What we ordered: Cinnamon French Toast: 5/5 Oh my god, this was so good! We're used to restaurants serving french toast with a large thick slice of bread, but at Finch and Fork the slice is like a regular sandwich bread but oh so tasty, done perfectly, not too sweet and topped with cinnamon and strawberries. The portion wasn't overbearing and was the best way to start our brunch. I highly recommend this Egg White Omelette (Wild Mushrooms, spinach, roasted sweet potatoes, Ricotta salata, and added Bacon and Sausage) : 5/5 I thoroughly enjoyed my omelette. I wanted something not too heavy, the roasted sweet potatoes were crispy and soft and the bacon and sausage overall made the omelette more savory. It was sooo good. I wasn't expecting the omelette to be so big, but this is definitely a shareable plate. I still had so much leftover after sharing half with my boyfriend. Grilled NY Strip Steak, Eggs, and Frites: 4/5 This is like your regular steak and eggs, nothing special. It definitely wasn't a standout dish, but my man loves his steak so it was a must for him. The service was incredibly slow for some reason, and the server confirmed the kitchen was backed up when we asked after quite a while of waiting. When the food did come out, my dish (the pork chop) was not hot at all, maybe room temp at best. I went to Finch & Fork for brunch with a friend to celebrate her birthday. The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance, and is located within the lovely Canary Hotel. There were only a few patrons eating inside when we arrived. Our server was very amicable and helpful. We ordered the "Breakfast Bread" and the "F&F Eggs Benedict". The breakfast bread was akin to a dense carrot or banana-like bread, with delicious salted butter. They did not bring us any plates to eat the shared appetizer and though we waited, no one was around to ask for quite some time, so we had to eat it with our hands with crumbs going everywhere over the table and ourselves. The Eggs Benedict was extremely disappointing. The menu states it is served on "English muffins" which was not the case. Being foodies, my friend and I know a brioche bun bottom when we see one, and that is what was used instead of English Muffins. On top of that was not Canadian Bacon as the menu advertised, but extremely thick ham. The eggs were not quite cooked enough, nor was there sufficient hollandaise sauce. We left eating only a few bites. At least the breakfast bread was good and presented as advertised on the menu. A sad Birthday Brunch indeed. read more

Just had the best meal here. The food was excellent and very fresh. They also had $1 oysters, unexpectedly (only on Thursday's). Very good! Service was great and ambience was nice. Dinner was paparadelle and short rib pasta- pasta was significantly salted- too salty for me to eat so husband who loves salt ate it- he said it was on the upper limit of edible for him. We had Easter Brunch at Finch and Fork: $89 per person for buffet and entree. At the entrance were 4 valets who did not acknowledge us or open the door. There was no one at the hostess desk for several minutes. When she arrived she appeared stressed and we gave our name for our reservation and she said there would be a wait. Then another person came up and looked at the book and said to follow her. We were seated and given menus. No one came to us for about ten minutes and finally one of us asked a passing server for a coffee which didn't come. Finally someone came up and asked us if we were ready to order. We asked her to explain how the buffet worked and she gave a quick point to the various areas and left, we called her back and asked her again for the coffee and placed a drink order. Two bloody mary's and one virgin mary. We went to the buffet and returned to our table. No drinks no coffee. Finally we got the coffee, no cream no sugar included. The oysters and shrimp from the buffet were good. The salad bar looked pathetic and we passed on the white bean soup. We ordered the following: Crab cake Eggs Benedict: eggs were hard cooked no hollandaise and the crab cake was fried through. Croque Madame: Everything was wrong with it: cold, congealed and basically inedible. Shortbread Hash: teeny amount of shortbread overcooked swimming in an oily base. The dessert bar was pathetic, obviously outsourced and the petit fours and mini cheese cakes were still frozen. The sign for the macaroons was upside down. Amazing !!! Had the braised beef with carrots and Brussels sprouts in a red wine reduction with pouched eggs. It just melted in your mouth, the beef just had an incredible taste and texture. The vegetables were delicious as well. The coffee is top notch along with the service. Found this spot just by googling it. It on the streeet level of a hotel in DT Santa Barbara. We got the Dan Dan noodles, broccolini and farmers market salad, I think we also got either the lentils or cauliflower or both but I can't remember. I understand the allure here. It's inside a beautiful hotel, and the restaurant decor infers upscale. My friend and I visited for brunch with a BOGO coupon and were a bit taken back with how sparse it was for the holiday weekend. Nonetheless, we sat and noted to the host that we were celebrating our birthdays; the server then greeted us with a couple of complimentary mimosa cocktails, a pleasant surprise. I ordered the chicken sandwich which was overall good, but I didn't like how much gochujong aioli they put on it, as it not only overpowered the other flavors in the sandwich, but it made it messy to eat. It was also the only poultry dish offered in a sea of red meat dishes, and I was hoping to have more poultry, fish or vegetarian options. I wish there an option to give more than five stars, maybe even more than six because words cannot explain how amazing this place is. First of all when you walk in you see the full bar and it's beautiful. The seating and couches are so comfortable and so aesthetically pleasing you can't help but want to order as much food as you can just so you can sit there for longer! I came here with my boyfriend, and we started off with coffee and bloody Mary's, pretty standard. We decided to order two items and split them since we were so indecisive with the menu we ended up getting avocado toast, and the breakfast burrito. The avocado toast includes one poached egg on top, but when we told the waiter thought we were sharing she offered to give us to poach eggs, which was so nice and thoughtful! One thing to note is that I don't really go towards breakfast burritos, but when I took a bite out of this one, I couldn't help myself when I excitedly said " Oh my gosh this is the most delicious burrito I have ever had!" it was hilarious, but necessary because that's just how delicious it was!! We went here for breakfast and the breakfast was absolutely outstanding. I got the French toast and bacon and my husband got a burger, and we both loved our food. This is a beautiful restaurant inside of a very nice hotel. At first it was kind of hard to find due to all the construction but once we found it, it was easy to locate it inside of the hotel. When you walk into the hotel, the restaurant is directly on your right. The service was okay. It wasn't anything to bark about. We were missing some items from our dish, but it was not the end of the world obviously. we would definitely come back again, as the food was absolutely amazing. But then a diifferent staff person told us we could still sit in the dining room. Great! Food service didn't begin until 5:00 p.m. and we had arrived 15 minutes early so we ordered drinks and waited in the bar. 5:00 pm came and went and the staff person who told us we could sit in the dining room never came to get us and seat us. In fact, she vacated the area for several minutes and could not be found. Meanwhile, we saw guests being served burgers. Hmmm...we were wondering if we could place an order too! After waiting several more minutes for a staff person to come over, I finally got up and asked if we could be seated in the dining room and order. But I was told they had to ask the manager. When he asked, we were again directed to remain in the bar area. It felt very confusing to be told conflicting information by different staff members. Did I mention that no diners were in the dining room? It was 100% empty! We stayed in the bar and ate our burger and fries which were tasty, but what left a sour taste in our mouth was the mixed reception we received from staff. On a brighter note, Daniel was a highlight of the night and was gracious and personable as he bused our tables. Ivan, the bartender, was also helpful and kind. If you aren't concerned with consistent service then this might be a good spot for you. As for.me, I'll spend my time and money where I feel I am ore valued. We made reservations to this restaurant due to 1. Father's Day and 2. Popularity of this restaurant. Finch and Fork is located in the Kimpton Canary Hotel. When I stepped foot into the hotel lobby to get to Finch and Fork, it made me want to book a hotel stay at the Canary due its warm charming architecture. We apparently parked in the parking structure directly south of this hotel, but the restaurant offers complimentary valet parking via the hotel entrance. Obviously we didn't know that until we got here, but I guess there's always a future visit. Anyhow, since we came during brunch time, they had a special on mimosas. You could get peach, grapefruit, and orange mimosas. I chose to stick with the peach ones. They were $14 for the first one and $1 additional after that. I guess to really get your money's worth, you'd have to drink a couple. I ordered the shrimp and polenta with a side of bacon. They were really generous with the side of bacon. As far as the shrimp and polenta, it was decent although I think I would have chosen a different dish as the polenta was not seasoned enough and too grainy. The sophisticated ambiance is what makes this place charming. I think the best part of the meal was our extremely attentive waiter who was so eager to keep those mimosas flowing and his friendly attitude. read more

I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon and added avocado and my friend ordered the cheeseburger cooked medium rare. Both were so delicious and the salsa served with the burrito was amazing. Also, they have a Saturday/Sunday mimosa madness special where you pay $14 for the first mimosa and then $1 for each additional mimosa, which is essentially like bottomless mimosas. Had the chance to visit on our first family vacay to SB and definitely was happy with it!! Started with the Fig Old Fashioned and was incredible...ended up ordering another. My wife had a glass of the Austin Hope Cab and she really enjoyed it...paired very well with her steak frites. Our starter was the FF Deviled Eggs...WOW!! Dyed eggs with mustard seeds, scallions, and topped with with roe. We moved onto the iceberg wedge salad which was adorned with bleu cheese, grape tomatoes, and pancetta. We also just had to get the grilled mushroom and goat cheese flatbread...the earthiness of the multiple mushroom varieties used along with the creaminess of the goat cheese was amazing. My wife had the NY strip steak frites which was cooked perfectly. I usually don't go for pork chop but it was lauded as the house specialty and so had to give it a shot. Glad I did. Mouthwatering tender chop with bacon gastrique and Granny Smith apples for just a slight tartness. Dessert was the famous milkshake...you MUST get this!! Definitely will be back!! read more

Maybe we came on a bad night, to be specific, Sunday night the day before Memorial Day. We came here hopeful for the Sunday special - Slow Roasted Prime Rib. Guess what? First thing our waiter announces about the menu was that they aren't offering it. So disappointing. On top of that, our reservations were for 8:30, food came out after 10:00 pm, wow. To add to that, a wedding was going on and the bathrooms were not conveniently located at all. Modern restaurant, nice decorations and the food was good, aside from the extremely long wait, my husband and I ordered the New York Strip (the only thing close enough to the prime rib we were set to order). We also ordered the deviled eggs and brussels sprouts. Both were good, not the best, but good. All I have to say is... Covid visit to the space on the rooftop of the Kimpton Hotel. They are really doing all they can and it was so appreciated. It was ridiculously windy and cold the evening that we went and I wish I could say this was a great option, but it's simply just good for the current state of things. That said, the skeleton staff ( I think 4 total people including Chef in main restaurant ) did a truly amazing job to serve everyone somewhat seamlessly. Just an outstanding job! The food was, as always, excellent, drinks were very good and I 100% recommend! I will be happy when they go back to the restaurant space but if we lived closer, I'd support this effort on the rooftop as much as possible for as long as it took. read more
