I am very disappointed in the quality of service and care. I paid $150 for a tire rotation and balance and the service tech didn't even bother to adjust the tire pressure. He stated that he did so on the service report, but apparently he just pencil wiped that part. Then I called twice trying to talk to the service advisor, Nick Sova about this and he's dodging my calls. Take your vehicle elsewhere for service. There's a reason why this location has a 2.5 star rating.

Had a good experience here purchasing a used vehicle. Staff was all very friendly and no issues came up with the purchase.

Let's look up that definition. res·er·va·tion noun the action of reserving something. We reserved a medium size car only to get there to pick it up and they had nothing for us!! Jessica said that they have a fleet of cars the come through there and have no control to what comes through. Please tell me again why we RESERVED a car? So she offered us a DOWN GRADE to a small Ford focus. Not to mention a dirty Ford Focus. There was dog hair everywhere. They had not even cleaned it. She basically said take it or leave it. extremely RUDE lady to say the least. When she called her manager she asked him if he wanted her to give us the Toyota which was probably the one we reserved or the Focus. She hung up with him and said you have to take the focus. Unbelievable! We were SO irritated. We called all the other rental car companies and they had no cars available. So we had to borrow a car. They are unprofessional. DO NOT rent from them. They won't have what you reserve and they don't care. They really don't. That's the said part. We will never rent from them again.

My husband is a flight attendant who flies for a large airline in their Phoenix hub. We live in…read morePrescott, and we travel very frequently. We have rented cars during our travels at least 20 times in the past few years. Never have we had such a terrible experience with, well, any company anywhere, not just car rental businesses. We reserved a mini-van on September 9 for our cross country journey beginning on Saturday, September 22. We got our reservation confirmation email literally seconds after booking the reservation. On Thursday September 20 we were driving near the Prescott airport where this Hertz is located. We decided to drive to the parking lot (it's a tiny, tiny airport) to see what kind of mini-vans they rented. They did not have any in the lot, so we went in to inquire. (Now, when I tell you it's a tiny airport, I mean TINY. They have 2 flights per day on the one and only airline that flies there. My husband was a passenger on the inaugural flight a few weeks ago for this airport & airline. The Mayor of Prescott was on the flight along with a bunch of local dignitaries & my husband. They had music and food & drinks served to guests in the terminal. A Prescott fire truck shot water from its water cannon over the plane when it taxied to the gate/terminal. It was a huge deal to get this airline service here). Anyway, we went in to the terminal to speak with the Hertz associate about our reservation. I told him we were just checking to see what kind of mini-vans they rented for our reservation in 2 days. He replied, "You have a reservation for a mini-van for Saturday? We don't even have any mini-vans. I have one coming in tomorrow, but that's for someone else." He said that there was no way he could get a mini-van for us and that "corporate" does this to him all the time" (booking reservations for vehicles that he does not have). There was an SUV on the lot, so we asked if we could reserve that one. He said it was reserved for someone else as well. We asked him "what about our reservation?" & he told us that it was "corporate's fault". So, we called (doing his job) Hertz central reservation line. We were able to book the SUV that was on the lot with a pick-up date and time of right then and there. Even checked in online & gave the credit card info. Went back to the counter & he told us that "there's no way in hell that I'm renting you that SUV". We asked him why & he said it was for someone else on Saturday. We asked why he couldn't give it to us today & get another in the next 2 days for the other people. He told us again that there was "no way in hell" that he was going to rent it to us. And that he was going to call TSA/security if we didn't leave. We did not raise our voices at all during our entire interaction with him. He was a jerk from the moment we walked in and said we had a reservation for the mini-van. I should point out that on this particular weekend our local car rental companies are nearly sold out of all cars, and none have mini-vans or SUVs. But we booked this mini-van weeks ago, so it should not have been a problem at all. We were left scrambling to get a van & finally did find one in Flagstaff at Alamo, about 100 miles away & for hundreds of dollars more. I can sincerely say that I've never had a customer service experience that was this absolutely disgusting in my life. Anywhere. Ever. This person has absolutely no customer service skills at all. He's a cretin. And Hertz has some really dismal business practices themselves. They apparently rent out cars left and right without actually having them available. (their central reservations reps who were trying to find us a replacement van/suv booked us several times with locations down in Phoenix, 100 miles away. Then the local agents for those bookings called us to say that they did not have any vans or SUV's available & they didn't know why central reservations booked them). Stay as far away from Hertz in Prescott, Arizona. It's a shame that Hertz is the only car rental in the Prescott airport. The passengers are sure to experience difficulties and grief here. Book at Avis, Budget, or Enterprise if you're needing a car in Prescott.

I was a little skeptical by all the reviews, but I'm here to tell you, don't listen to them. It is a very tiny airport (which I love) and walking straight off the plane I was greeted by Travis at the front desk for Hertz. It was such an easy and great experience I was literally blown away! I couldn't stop bragging to my family how easy and hassle free that was! It didn't take more than 5 minutes to get the keys and then Travis walked us out the doors and the SUV was already pulled up to the curb just waiting for us. The convenience of this car rental location was amazing. I'm very excited to make multiple trips to Prescott considering how easy this was. I want to thank Travis for making our experience so perfect! & to all the yelpers questioning this location because of the reviews, ignore them. After gifting our son our faithful 9 year old Subaru Forester with 120,000 miles, my wife and I…read morerecently found ourselves in the market for another car. Despite a good history with our previous Subaru, we expanded our search to include similar vehicles including the Toyota RAV4, Mazda CX50 and Honda CR-V. We began our search looking for a late model used car but also considered new vehicles. After many hours of internet research and multiple trips to local dealers, we settled on the Forester and the Rav4 as the best choices to suit our needs. We usually make every attempt to shop locally whenever possible, so we started with Findlay Subaru Prescott and were helped by Gabe Maciel. Gabe was the consummate professional, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, informative, and was never in any way "pushy" in the way that car sales people can be. He was happy to show us anything we wanted without complaint or impatience. Our relationship with Gabe continued over the course of several days because we were also looking at other cars at other dealerships. Gabe was always professional, patient and customer service focused. Although we did not travel to Phoenix, we did shop the Phoenix market online for target vehicles, and we had a few conversations with sales people concerning pricing and availability of potential cars. Furthermore, a friend had just days before our purchase, traveled to Phoenix to purchase a similar make and model as our target vehicle. With his purchase information in hand, I felt I had good inside information as to Phoenix pricing. Ultimately, we decided to pursue the purchase of a new Subaru Forester at Findlay Subaru Prescott if we could secure a fair deal. Initially, the car we were most interested in, was missing a feature we considered essential, so we left the dealership and went home to continue our online search. Almost as soon as we walked in the door, John Ward the Findlay sales manager called and assured us that he could easily install the feature we wanted and sell the car to us at a price we would find competitive. He impressed upon us his desire to sell us the car and keep the sale local if at all possible. He assured us that he wanted the sale and would do all he could to sell us the car at a fair price. We agreed to return to the lot for further conversation. The next step in the process is the one I do not like, negotiating the deal in a salesman's office. I was expecting a stressful hour of high pressure sales tactics but was instead offered the car that we wanted, with the desired option installed by Findlay, at a significant discount from MSRP. Mr. Ward was very "matter of fact", professional, friendly and polite. There was still a little "back and forth" negotiation which was a little stressful but in the end we ended very close to his original discounted offer. What usually transpires next is another stressful experience with the "Finance Guy" in the back office, which is usually an opportunity for the dealer to sell you a host of other things you probably don't need. Instead we met met Mr. Pauly Meyers who was the most unassuming and low pressure "Finance Guy" I have ever dealt with at a car dealership. He did offer us a whole host of things to buy for our new car, and was happy to explain in detail any of them, but Mr. Meyers did not pressure us in any way to buy anything else for our car. He was as personable, friendly and professional as the rest of the team at Findlay Subaru. It's difficult to accurately evaluate different deals from different dealers, so therefore difficult to compare my deal with the one my friend received from the Phoenix dealer, but I believe them to be comparable. Some car dealers sell a car at an attractive price but then tack on fees for dealer installed options you don't want (that they almost will never remove), all sorts of things sold by the finance team in the back office, and sky high loans offers and insurance. It's nearly impossible to compare deals between different dealerships and different buyers. In the end it comes down to the attitude and personality of the dealership. If the dealer you visit is laser focused on making a sale, takes every opportunity to sell you a car jacked up with all kinds of stuff you don't really want, constantly badgers you for the sale, constantly sends you endless texts, email or phone calls, be careful! You are dealing with people who have ONLY THEIR best interest front and foremost in their mind. Other dealerships are happy allowing YOU to decide what you want and need, happy to provide information when YOU ask, happy to provide test drives when YOU are ready, happy to sell you what YOU want, and when YOU want it. To me, that is the mark of a well managed, professional dealership. Findlay Subaru Prescott is that sort of dealer, they provide you with the service and information so you can decide what is best for YOU and YOUR family. Thank you Gabe, John and Pauly
