The tints in my rear window all got peeled off. They also caused electrical and transmission issues to my car. I would give them less than ZERO stars if I had a choice. Car was taken here by their tow tuck driver after an accident in park slope. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was told how bad other mechanics are in the area that I knew, and how good they were.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was told that there was no way my car would be totaled, and I should have it back in about 2 weeks or so. As the time goes by I find out that they asked my insurance to total the car. Why? I think I have a good idea...The one thing I cared about besides taking good care of the car, which also was not done at all either and should always be without having to be said. So after trying to get my car totaled (it's a nice rare appreciative car), which keep in mind; this was a low speed impact that did not set off airbags, no one was injured, my car needed a headlight module, front bumper, side fender, new hood, and a front rim. The hood was slightly dented, but nothing by the engine was damaged or impacted. The collision was a slow clip of the passenger side against a parked car. After my insurance approved $15,000.00 in repairs, they went wild and basically ordered a bunch of stuff they probably didn't use or need. After over 1.5 months of them holding my car hostage, dam near I went to pick it up. I went when they weren't expecting me. Upon arrival I see my car has over 3 packs of Newport cigarette box's on my passenger side floor (I don't smoke myself, and I don't allow smoking in my car for many reasons). The rear bumper was scraped around the wheel well, but outside and where the paint is. The accident was strictly front damage. The rear bumper did not have this scrape after the accident, until it was in Finest's possession. My sun blocker for the windshield was stolen I'm assuming by an employee. The whole thing was a complete joke and a mess. I could tell my car was the "club hangout and smoke room." They turned a M3 into a smoke room?! I know go figure. They thought my car would be totaled and then maybe the idea was to buy it from the insurance company allegedly? (I'm making assumptions regarding what the plan was with my car before insurance ruled it was not totaled). They either didn't understand that the V8 M3s go for a lot even though they are from 2008-2012 (mine a 2011), insurance wasn't paying me $45,000.00 sorry Finest. Or they DID know the value (makes more sense), hoped I didn't have full coverage, and that the insurance company would listen to their shop's recommendation to have the car totaled. If you recall I was told this would be done in about 2 weeks. The summer is now over and 2 months approximately have passed. I cannot get them to give the car up because apparently it's still not done. I was told it would be done week after week, but it was never completed when they said it would be. In fact it was never completed at all! When I left the body shop I was told to bring it to an alignment shop. This alignment shop told me my passenger side tie rod was loose. This means a simple 200$ tie rod on the side of the accident was not replaced. Where did the 15 grand in parts go? My windshield wiper fluid was empty because the hose was never reconnected. I almost forgot, my clearly shiny powder coated black rims, that were stock M series 19in rims, was replaced by a matte black rim, since the front passenger side rim had to be replaced. I was told I can give them my car back to get the rear bumper painted, new tie rod replaced, rim painted, and the windshield fluid hose fixed (beat on the sunblocker). Imagine that. I'm finally back driving my car that I've put so much into and love. The cigarette packs thrown out (thank god I have no burn holes). They got a free sun blocker, a nice chill spot to smoke on breaks for 2 months. I left with my windshield fluid hose disconnected, my tie rod loose and my bumper badly scraped. The one star instead of 0 is because at the end I got to drive my baby home and these people would never touch it again, and that was a fact. It drives great to this day! I live in the Park Slope area and took my friend's 2011 Nissan SUV here because I accidentally made quite a scratch on the back bumper. I met Eddie (the owner) right upon arriving who was very friendly. Eddie gave me a super fair estimate to fix the damage (other places were charging higher) and was able to take the car earlier than I had hope and kept it overnight for me which was a HUGE help given the difficulty of parking in Brooklyn. When I arrived to pick up the car, they fixed the scratch and even went above and beyond with polishing the rest of the car and making it look honestly brand new. The technician Winston told me he "revived" the car and he truly did! All around it was a great experience and I highly recommend this auto repair shop. The receptionist is really good at building clientele. She is an absolute doll. She made this inconvenience a pleasant experience. Very friendly staff also. However, I was supposed to get my car on Thursday, but actually received it on Saturday. Each time they pushed the date back I had to call to find out, they didn't think it was a good idea to let me know the work wasn't done. Owner is unprofessional, insinuating that it's my fault that the work wasn't done in time because I "lied" about the work needing to be done, which is just insane because he's the professional who assessed the car, and I'm a 21 year old with no mechanical experience. They also tried to raise the prices on me. Disappointed that it took so long, and that the owner was unprofessional even though it was one of his men that hit my car to begin with . read more

This is the worst repair shop I have ever dealt with. They don't have any specific person who takes the responsibilty of your vehicle and let you know the repair status. It was really frustrating for me going from start to end for just a little work involved in repair, these guys made it unnecessarily so prolong and even after 30 days I still have to take my vehicle back in half repaired state. I had completed my repair in just four hours from another place which was pending, waiting to be done by these crooks since a month. My adjuster eventually advised me to withdraw my vehicle to have it inspected from some other repair facility coz they were keep telling lies and new story each time in supplements they put in under my insurance and no one even tried to diagnose the problem in fact. So this is the level of proficiency what they have and wanted it to share with anyone who wanted to know.  I will not recommend this place to anyone. Beware. Don't let these people near your car ! You won't believe my story. My husband was involved in an accident under the Gowanus Expressway one night a few weeks ago. The police unfortunately for us called these scam artists. The tow truck driver named Cody said his uncle owned the shop and they would take good care of us. Our close family friend owns a body shop in queens where we live. My husband expressed that he wanted the car towed there. Cody said it was illegal to tow out of Brooklyn ( which we found out is a big lie ). Cody was confident that the car would be totaled anyhow. I got to the scene and knew that the car would not be totaled. He said after driving it he was able to tell they would total it. He also said he had an "in" with both the cops and the insurance adjusters. He knew how to get us to lose our guard by saying it would be totaled. My husband gave him clear instructions not to do any work on the car. It took a week for the adjuster to come and check the car. Of course it wasn't totaled There was over $7000 worth of damaged. My husband immediately instructed the insurance company to Issue the check to our friend's shop. We were going to send a tow truck for the car. When we told our friend that we were transfers f the car , and where the car was he informed us that we've been scammed. These people tell you the car can't be legally be towed to your desired shop because they rack up storage fees. My husband called Finest and informed them that he was sending a truck to get the car. The guy who got on the phone named Calvin said he had to come in person to get the car. After much arguing with him my husband and I got into the car to drive over there. We called to say we were on the way. To our utter shock they said they wouldn't release the car because they had already ordered parts. We called the police and headed over there. They clearly have a script all ready because this scene must be repeated several times a week. Calvin sits quietly and allows us to scream , yell , and abuse him. He then talks very nicely , tells us that Cody is just the night time tow truck driver who has lied to several other people. He is not a partner or Eddie (the big con artist) the owner's nephew or partner. My husband went to get our things from the car and came back horrified. In 12 hours they fixed the car It was almost completely done ! They had people working on it round the clock so that we would be stuck. They made all kinds of promises to have the car back 2 days later. There were lots more back and forth , and a lot more deception. It's been 2 weeks from hell. Thank God my husband walked in and fought them off guard So he walked out with the car. They probably were trying to rack up as many $100 a night storage fees as they can Do yourself a favor. Recently on a trip to NY, (I am from Virginia), my car was broadsided in an intersection, leaving it undrivable. Fortunately, there were no injuries, but it was 95 degrees outside and while I and my passengers were still stunned with what had just happened, our car was sitting in the intersection, creating traffic issues. We had cars honking their horns at us, and the police telling us that we needed to "get your car out of there!". While no one could offer us any type of guidance as to who we could call (a towing recommendation), I called my insurance company to try to get the answer from them. Every towing/auto body shop that they recommended that we call, was closed, as this was now 3 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon. After 45 minutes of being told to get our car out of there, and not knowing how to do so, a tow truck finally pulled up to the scene, and asked if we needed a tow. Eddie could not have been more friendly, helpful, or accommodating. He instantly put us at ease. He quickly connected my car to the tow truck, and knowing that we needed to get to the upper west side in Manhattan, even offered to drive us there after we filled out the paperwork at his shop! There was no way that we could accept his generous offer, but then he INSISTED that he at least drive us all to the subway station to get back to Manhattan, and that was at least a half hour trip for him one way. On the drive to the subway station, he offered us bagels which had had just purchased from a local vendor, (the "best bagels in the world!"), and when we got out at the station he told us to take the whole bag, since he knew we had not eaten all day. He also offered to run into a pizza shop along the way to the station, saying that he could quickly run in to get us a few slices. He could not have been more helpful - he knew we were all dealing with high emotions from the accident, and he just wanted us to be okay. I offered to pay him when we he dropped us off, but he absolutely refused, and said that he didn't want my money. As far as the body work goes, my car was beautifully done, (survived the long trip back to Virginia!), and it was done ahead of schedule! I felt like Eddie and his guys truly repaired my car with TLC, and I felt at ease just knowing that. They were truly professional, skilled, and very friendly. Eddie happening on the scene of the accident that day was the best part of the entire situation. I would definitely recommend Finest Towing and Auto Body to anyone in need. Dishonest Crooks!!! Finest how about the Worst! My car was towed to this body shop after my accident and my insurance was to recover the vehicle. The owner and everyone in that shop harassed, badgered me to allow them to do the body work service on my car. I declined their service and said, I would go with my insurance company services. They hounded me for about an hour when I was only there to pick up my personal items from the vehicle. They did less to help me get my personal belongings but instead try to coerce me to give them the job. I left there with minimal of my belongings very frustrated and upset. When my insurance company sent a tow truck to recover my car they refused to give it to them demanding cash instead of the insurance companies check. Someone from the Finest shop texted me and told me that my insurance company doesn't care for me and my car because it is still at their lot and that I should give them the job instead. Upon reading this I called my companies adjuster who then explained that they would not release the car demanding cash which was an unlikely request. This prolonged the pick up of my car adding more money to the pick up cost and also hindering immediate work on my vehicle and the lost of compensation on the rental amount allotted to me. I was also notified after various research that this is typical of this shop in order to get compensated for more money especially if they will not be doing the job. They are a disgrace to the community and they are not reliable, honest and dependable. read more

Finest is a SCAMM! They take advantage of people and give them a whole scripted story. My parents about two months ago got into an accident. This guy named kuldeep (Cody)came around just pretending like he really wants to help. He is in the scheme and tells us that his father owns a body shop and can have his tow truck bring it to their shop. That's when we met Eddie the so called mechanic. We only learned after that he has no idea how to fix a car and goes to other body shops to fix the cars. Our car did not have much damage but they ended up keeping the car for a whole month. As we were dealing with insurance we realized they had tripled the costs that they charged for the car. When we tried to pick it up the car and refused to leave it in their garage any longer Eddie would yell and argue with us over the phone threatening to give him extra money. The police were involved and only then we were able to have the car released. When we had received the car the wheel alignment was completely off ! We immediately went to another mechanic, and they fixed the car within two hours. He was the one who told us about Eddie and us guys! PLEASE STAY AWAY !! read more
