I had already done my shopping for the night having completed my second visit to the Apple Store to check out the iPads - I was now heading to the parking lot to go home- Then I passed the Sketchers store- It was very clean, well lit, with plenty of space between displays for me to roll in with my four wheeled walker -It was not like the small selection of merchandise you find at the big box Outlet Stores. Dalton the salesman there asked how he could help me-- I let him know what I'd like to see - He brought out two different types of Sketcher shoe designs after determining my size- I wore them both in the store for 20 minutes- I am very happy with my purchase- / They they look and walk great - Dalton was a great help! A week ago I called the store, spoke with Martha and had her hold a shoe. I got sick and wasn't able to come in for the date that I saved those shoes. - I bought the massage fit in July but got the wrong color & needed to exchange - after coming in with the receipt and explaining my problem, I was assisted by Fernando who brought me out at least 10 pairs of shoes to try on to replace the ones that I already wanted to exchange. He was patient and kind and not rushing me and also able to help other guest as they walked in and requested shoes to Tryon. It's a small retail (high priced) store in the mall. The selection was small. The salesperson was very helpful but couldn't find my exact size for different shoes. I'm a 10 1/2 so I think that's not an odd size. I went on line and found a much better selection at a much better price. I did buy a pair from the retail store and am happy with them . read more

The store itself is nice, but the worker who "helped" me was so bad. I asked him if I can have an item in size 6 and he comes back with this dirty, used box. He didn't even give me new shoes as one of the shoes was the sample I handed him. It had dirt and hair in it, and when I asked for a new pair he slapped the shoe's contents out and said it is clean. I was so shocked at how gross I felt to receive shoes from this store because of him. Then he leaves and only brings me back one new shoe. I will never come back to sketchers since "the best" I could get from there was one (not really) clean shoe and the sample shoe. read more

The website and the posted store hours state that they open at 11 a.m. on Sundays. They didn't open until 11:10. The retail associated appeared to be on a personal call, and then took his time opening the registers. When the store opens at 11, you arrive at 10:45 a.m. to clock in, open up the registers, and get the store ready. You don't stroll in at 10:59 a.m. for an 11 a.m. opening. When he finally got around to opening the doors, he glibly commented, "Sorry for the late opening." He didn't ask if he could help us with anything, and didn't seem interested in actually selling anything. When we asked him to go back to get my son's size in two pairs of shoes, he acted like it was a major chore to do so. This type of attitude would almost be understandable when you're making minimum wage at $7.75/hour, but now since everyone in retail is earning $20/hour, it's inexcusable. Show up, be present, and do your job. When he came back out of the back, he said, "Yeah, we don't have your son's size." Suprise, surprise. I doubt he even checked. We had much better luck at Adidas and Footlocker, where the associates actually care about customer service. read more

When it comes to shoes for looks, I'm a boots man. So, when it comes to sneakers/athletic shoes, I'm not looking for shoes that wow me in the aesthetics department, I'm looking for shoes that feel comfortable and support my feet. I go the gym a lot, typically about 5-6 days a week. It's a pretty important part of my gym equipment. Now, for a long time I'd go to a Foot Locker and buy the most comfortable shoes. They didn't look great, but they served their purposes. But eventually I discovered Skechers. Here was a collection of sneakers that A) felt comfortable the first day of wearing, B) stood up to wear and C) actually looked pretty cool. They've got a style that I can appreciate and, given that my entire wardrobe is black, a wide variety of black sneakers that actually look good. And that I don't feel like a slob wearing. For the last five years all my sneakers have been from Skechers. In other words, I've been a very loyal customer. And, as far as the service I've gotten at the Glendale Skechers, I've been pretty happy with the customer service. I've bought pairs of sneakers that have stood up to daily wear for two years with little damage. But this last time has been a very different case. I bought my most recent pair of sneakers from Skechers approximately 4 months ago. They felt great and I liked the style. But within three months of no more than my typical wear, the seams at the top of the shoe had burst open and the two top lace holes had ripped into one gaping hole. If you look at the heel of the shoe, you'd think I had just bought them, but the leather looks like I've worn it for four years...and stuck it in a paper shredder. I'm not sure what's happened here: different manufacturer, different materials? All I know is these are not the Skechers that I've grown to love over the past half-decade. I'm really disappointed. I haven't completely lost hope...but Skechers may well be losing a faithful customer. read more

Went in there looking for a specific pair of shoes, so it wasn't long before I found them and needed assistance getting my size. Looked around. Stood waiting. Looked at the counter where there were two employees and no other customers. I walked up and asked politely if I could try them on and then the girl that helped me started assisting me. She did happen to be super nice! But then, another irate customer took up her time and she spent a little while with her while I waited again. They not only have comfertable shoes that they are well known for, but they have the most knolledgable and patient staff. I had to buy 2 pairs for my 11 year-old, who's feet are too big for kids's styles and barely big enough for adult styles. The sales girl measured her feet, brought her 2 sizes of each shoe she liked, recommended the best P E shoes for her needs. Beware of the sales personnel in this store! Yesterday (1/28/19), I went to shop in this store with buy 1 take 50% off the second pair of shoes promotion. I purchased a total of $120.45 shoe item. The lady cashier charged me twice and she used two different cash register. First, she used a hand held cash register (ipad), she said the this register didn't go through coz it did not print receipt so she needed to re scan the two pairs of shoes to another cash register, their main cash register equipment this time. I was skeptical of her move so I asked her why two different cash register? She said the other one didn't go through and it was void. I was still not conviced coz before she process the transaction, she asked me if I would pay cash?? Why asked me like i was buying in downtown retail store? So I gave back my debit card and she continue to process the items. So when I checked my online banking account there were two different transactions processing. I heard her say, one transaction will be voided but "no". I was charged twice having two different transaction code#. I called the bank and dispute this right away. To sum up my frustrations, I hate this lady for deceiving a customer about how they operate their cash registers. And of course why did she use 2 registers when she knows it will create discrepancy?? If one is not wise enough, she will be swindled! Please improve your customer relations! Be honest! I came to realize that what if I use credit card? I normally would not check the charges til my statement comes?? Then I was charged and would pay this merchants because they made an error? May it be incidental, not an excuse!
