My son has 91 Acura and we needed a clutch plate, a simple thing most of the time, except, Acura made a spline size change mid year and getting the right size has been a non-stop hassle. Forget trying to explain it to some kid who barely speaks english, or getting them to keep trying because they mis boxed the part (Common for this particular thing). Enter Youngs Autoparts. First up, Larry does the natural thing a real car guy would do, He gets out the calipers and measures the old spline. Then the girl behind the counter (I can't remember her name) tripple checks and orders the part. all while a little country music is playing and conversations are going on Even with that, the part is wrong... Enter Scott, who CALLS ME BACK!! Tells me, I'm gonna double check the next box that comes in and keep double checking till we get the right part. He says " this has to be a mis-boxing of the part so we'll just keep on it" Sure enough second box comes in, same part numbers, different part. On May 23, 2026, my dad went to AutoZone to buy a car part. Unfortunately, it ended up being the…read morewrong part for his vehicle, so he returned the same day to exchange it. When he spoke to the manager, the manager began mocking my dad in English, assuming he could not understand the language because he is Hispanic. The manager repeatedly said my dad could not return or exchange the part and made rude comments about him. What kind of manager belittles a customer and talks badly about them right in front of them? It was disrespectful, unprofessional, and honestly came across as racist behavior. After the manager walked away, another employee stepped in and confirmed that my dad actually could exchange the part since it had been purchased that same day. So the manager was completely wrong. My dad has been a loyal customer at AutoZone for many years and has spent a lot of money there. No customer deserves to be treated this way. AutoZone seriously needs better management -- people who know how to treat customers with respect regardless of their background.
