    Oxygen sensor hitting frame

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I reached out to exhaust works through yelp and Gina contacted me and provided some available times.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It took a little time to schedule as I have limited availability myself but once I brought the car in, it was well worth the wait.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Dan worked on my 2009 C6. Note that Stevens creek Chevrolet replaced the catalytic converters on a recall as part of some other work that was required and was the worst experience I ever had with car repairs. To make a long story short, they installed a faulty converter and damaged the oxygen sensor along a slew of other issues which I reported to GM. Dan at exhaust works corrected the faulty catalytic converter, he repositioned the oxygen sensor and the welding quality and overall quality of repair was outstanding. I had brought in a new GM oxygen sensor but was the incorrect part so as Dan was about to install, realized it wouldn't work. It was around 415 and I had to leave asap to pick up my son at daycare. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dan made a call to find an oxygen sensor, jumped in his own car and sped off to get the correct sensor, returned shortly and installed and got the car going minutes after his return.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have never seen service like this and it just made my day! When I received the bill, he even undercharged me for the time he put in. Dan is a perfectionist. Forgot to mention that the dealer bent the stud on the converter and damaged the threads as well and Dan corrected it all. I went to smog station after a short drive to reset and car passed and picked up my son before daycare closed. I am so happy to have my Vette back. Lesson learned, find a smaller local shop and if you are lucky enough to find someone like Dan that takes care of your car like it is his own, do it! Avoid service advisors that add no value and work on commissions. These days the staff at most dealerships are kids with zero experience. Thanks Dan and Gina, you restored my faith in honest repair shops. If I can rate 5+, I would!

Dan worked on my Lamborghini tirelessly for days to make the exhaust look perfect. He spent hours to make sure the tips are aligned and welds are perfect. He found unexpected work as parts are taken off, but never complained. He just put in the extra work to make custom parts and solved problems in his own time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This guy takes pride in his workmanship, if you need quality work, this is the place in the Bay Area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I unfortunately have to update my review after taking my car to another muffler shop and they shared some information on how this shop installed my exhaust. I'm now out $8,000 because of the install that Todd did due to welding (which wasn't suppose to happen and I wasn't aware that it was welded on) and in addition to this, he tightened a clamp that he purchased (which was meant for trucks) to the car and the clamps he used damaged my $1,500 midpipe. I got quoted roughly $2,000 (1,500 for the midpipe and $500 for the install/fix) because my $6,000 exhaust has to be fixed from the welding job he did. Super unhappy with all the news I received and I wouldn't recommend taking a euro car to this shop for any exhaust work. Find a better shop that specializes in euros. To Todd's credit, he did tell me that he was having issues with the install and I told him if he could figure it out to do it but I shouldn't have done that. Regardless I wish I had went somewhere else because I'm SOL at this point if I ever decide to sell the exhaust/midpipe.

As another reviewer wrote, "[[HIGHLIGHT]]Dan is the Man!" He truly is an artist with his craft[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I had a "wicked works" muffler and tip placed onto my Corolla and Dan was meticulous and very detailed oriented with placement of the new exhaust. I was completely satisfied with his efforts and the pipe is absolutely beautiful!

All respect to Dan the Man! :-D

If you're looking for great service and an honest appraisal of what you need look no further! I can't thank Dan enough for all the work he did verifying that I DID NOT NEED to have work I REQUESTED-even though he simply could have. Instead, having over 40 years in the industry, he could tell by looking that whatever what setting off my CEL for misfires wasn't the catalytic convertor... that he just went and picked up at my request-at the end of day-on a FRIDAY-when he could have just said, " Sorry, come back on Monday." He did a LOT of work and checked all the way back to confirm no obstructions-and charged me a pittance. I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to have him work on my tired old car. Incredible to find integrity hasn't left all of CA! THANK YOU DAN! -Jonny

Was referred to Todd by another mechanic due to a rattling exhaust, but soo glad I found this shop. Todd was super helpful and friendly. I enjoy the vibe of the shop and Todd style. He's been in the business for decades. - quick turnarounds -affordable pricing -quality work -very accommodating Ended up getting a custom exhaust for my e30. Will definitely come back for more service.

I also spent some time with the owner, Sharif Khan. The way he runs that business, trains his team no just in the craft, but in how to treat customers, -- you could write an HBS case study on this guy. First remove a…read more3rd party wing on my car, install a replacement for a factory front lip that I broke during track day about 3 years ago, and get some wraps and painting done. So in my research, I found a a lot of shops as you would expect. Ended up choosing Silicon Valley Customs, mostly because it was close and in an area I was familiar with since I was a child. After some initial contact via text and phone calls, I setup my first appointment with SVC to bring the car in for some estimates and discuss what I was looking for. The owner was very accommodating and provided me many options for what I wanted to do. Mainly the removal of the spoiler and patching the holes that are leftover. He went over the many options they had and we managed to agree on the option that was best suited for me and my budget. No pushback and judgement at all. We also discussed the other options like installing a front lip replacement that I brought and asked for service on and wrapping the car. We came to an initial agreement and the appointment was set. And I left my replacement front lip with them to paint. Between this and the day of the appointment, I had some changes that I wanted to make to what was agreed on and the again, no problems there. Changes were accepted very easily. And for me, the big thing was, I wanted to wrap the antenna, which the owner mentioned wouldn't be an issue to do but would take longer. And I said no problem if it would take longer we don't have to do it. Unfortunately, the day came for the appointment and I fell sick out of nowhere. Kind of funny how that works right? So I gave the shop a call. The owner had no issues re-scheduling, wished me well and we agreed upon a new appointment. On the new appointment date, I came to drop off the car, it was quick and easy. They reconfirmed with me everything we discussed and I just left them my key. They had quite the few cars to work on that day as well so it took them a while to get to my car but the great thing was, they still managed to get my car back to me the same day I dropped it off. So when I came to get the car, I remember specifically that I didn't actually clear with them for doing the antenna. But they still did it anyway AND gave me the best price for it. Even though it took them much more time to wrap it because they had to remove alot of parts to get it. I REALLY appreciate them for that. Not only did they wrap what I really wanted even though I didn't specifically say, the owner gave me a SOLID price for it. That's the kicker here. All that work and still gave me a good price that even I would say is quite generous. Overall, I am more satisfied then I thought I would be. And I would be willing to come back to them in the future for any further wraps or projects!
