We started with ham and chicken croquetas from Islas Canarias -- best in area. Followed with Korean fried chicken and kale ceasar salad with buffalo chicken. Washed it down with saged by the bell and margarita drinks. The chicken had a lot of flavor with a tinge of spice, really liked the boniato bread which reminded me somewhat of a better tasting cornbread. Crunchy yummy fries. I love this place because of the variety and unique twist of most menu items. Also serves as a cool spot for date night, dinner with the family and has a nice bar for a night out for drinks. Went here for my mom's birthday and we were so happy with the service and food. The appetizer we chose were nachos, really good nachos! 10/10. Great size for a family of four, it had so many flavors!!!! We ordered individual entrees, all of us were happy with our meals. We ordered some beer during happy hour. they don't have domestic "normal" beer they only sell beer from nearby breweries, mostly IPAs. The bartender was super nice, allowing us to try different beers until we found one we liked. The place is dark and homey vibes. We ate very well and were attended to perfectly. We got water without having to chase the waiter, she gave us new silverware without us having to ask. She was on point. I would definitely come back here. First time eating here the food was delicious, it is a little pricy but still worth it. The people serving were very kind and well taught. The environment was a baby friendly place. I brought my daughter who was 9 months old and she was very fond of the place. There were a lot of others babies there that I saw so I wasn't the only one. We came here from out of town for a rehearsal dinner and had a great time. Service and food was great! We had limited options to select from so we had the Brisket with White Sweet Potatoes and the Cuban Fried Rice. Both meals were great! The brisket was good perfectly but unfortunately I'm not a fan of sweet potatoes so I didn't have much of it, everyone else ranted about them though. I mainly had the Cuban Fried Rice which was great twist on typical Fried Rice. Overall it was great just wish there was some more shrimp in the meal. Finka definitely does fusion the right way. The blend of cultural flavors makes this a delightful culinary experience. We started with the malanga nachos and goat cheese and yuca fritters. Make sure you ask for extra sauce for the fritters. It is so good! For our entrees, we tried the gochujang noodles and the Cuban fried rice. If you like a perfectly spicy dish, you must try the noodles. The fried rice had a pleasant, slightly sweet touch. We finished the meal with warmed banana bread and vanilla ice cream. We didn't leave a crumb on the plate. Besides the great food, Finka has a wonderful aesthetic with its brick and wood farmhouse style. Our server, Deivid, was fantastic and took great care of us. I keep wavering on whether to rate this meal as 3 "OK" or 4 "Good." Elements were "good," even "great," others were "ok" or definitely "could have been better." The experience managed to feel rushed and yet painfully slow. We were sat promptly yet it took awhile to get a server and also to get water. Finally one came and we were advised to use the scan code for the menu, but I think because of how dark it is in there, our phones couldn't pick it up. It was very loud (music) where we were sat, so if you're hoping to talk to your dinner guests, this probably isn't the place for you, or ask to sit in the front room. We each ordered a starter off the Para Picar menu as well a salad to split, followed by the Cuban fried rice. Perhaps this was my mistake, but I thought things would be coursed out. Everything came flying to the table within about a minute of each other and it was a bit overwhelming. My partner said the empanadas of the day were just ok. Crust was good, but this is probably on him as he's not a big medianoche fan so he probably should have tried something else. I started with the salmon tartare, which I didn't really like. Whatever sauce was mixed in (supposed to be aji amarillo) was so sweet and overpowering. The papaya salad was fresh and delicious, and I ended up mixing in the salmon tartare with it and it was actually really great together. The sour from the papaya salad offset the overt sweetness in the salmon and made for a great combination, so I polished it off. The Cuban fried rice I really enjoyed. There was barely any maduros in it though. Would also have been good to know it comes with an undercooked egg (runny yolk) on top, especially as I noted to the server when she asked about restrictions and allergies that my partner can't have undercooked or raw egg (immune suppressed). It wasn't a big deal though as I scooped it onto a plate and had it separately. When we were finished it took an awkwardly long time to get the check, and then to get her to pick up the check, which was annoying as we could see her chatting to other servers by the station. I had been looking forward a long time to try our Finka, so it was a little disappointing that things weren't as great as I had hoped. If there was a group dinner, we'd go again, as I think it's a fun place for a special night with friends. I just hope we get a different server and that the customer service is better. I don't think we'd go again for a date night. read more

The ambiance was really nice with the Miami vibe but the music was too loud for my liking. The lighting was also very low, definitely not a place I would bring my parents or older friends. Service was quick and friendly but had a hard time hearing the waiter because the loud music. We have the brisket wonton ravioli which was a bit too salty for me but the brisket was amazing. The Cuban fried rice was terrific just needed a little more sauce that they drizzled on top. The sriracha ribs were surprisingly delicious. You could order anything from Croquetas, to Branzino, to Sushi, to apparel from their sister restaurant, Islas de Canarias. The decor alone is worthy of five stars, as you will see from the pictures. Which I was unaware is a thing until visiting FINKA and thanks to my sis and brother in law for getting married to give me a reason to visit. We were a huge group celebrating a rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding so we were tucked away in a portion of the restaurant to accommodate our large party. The décor was rustic, adorable and very inviting. There was a set menu in place as far as appetizers and we had a choice for our entrée. For starters I did not know brussels with fried wontons would make me as happy as they did but here we are. The mac and cheese came topped with carne asada with little bits of bacon and was a table hit. The Cuban fried rice was the best of both worlds combined in a bowl of heaven. The one downside we experienced was not taking the bride's maid of honor's dietary restrictions into account and with this being a planned private event, this was previously discussed and agreed upon. Went with my wife to celebrate my birthday. Luckily, it wasn't full as normally is and we had a reservation, therefore everything was quick. Our waitress was very nice with us. As always, the ambiance at Finka is lovely with their decorations and low light, perfect for date night! I ordered the Cuban old fashioned which is delightful. I sipped it very slowly to enjoy it as long as I could. We had the alligator jalea and the malanga nachos. The jalea is one of our favorites! Don't let the "alligator" part fool you! The malanga nachos was a first and loved it. I really like salty mixed with sweet, and the malanga nachos were like that as they have sweet plantain plus guacamole, ground beef, chili, etc. As an entree I ordered the pork belly paella which was a first too! It was delicious!!! I'm allergic to shellfish so this was great for me! My wife had the churrasco which is her go to dish always! Portions are big, so there was no room for dessert and even had to ask for boxes to take food home...no cooking today! YES!
