This is my go-to lunch stop with friends. The food has never disappointed and they have the best wings around! I've always liked the atmosphere. There seem to be a lot more college kids hanging around the place these days instead of the older tougher crowd but its not a deterrent! I always recommend Finnagel's to friends and family. Must have been an off day. We went to Finnagels' with a few co-workers for lunch. We'd never been there before but it's local and decided to give it a try. We got there at noon and the place was empty (but people were wandering in). We each ordered burgers & onion rings. Rather than medium-rare, they were very well done and the onion rings were burnt. I couldn't believe they even served them like that. Fortunately, the beer was cold. I ordered fried onions on my burger thinking I'd get "fried onions." It was more like onion straws or the fried onions you buy in a can. Very disappointed with the food. I've heard good things about this place so we were very surprised with the meals we were served. Won't go back again. There are better places in the area for a burger and a beer. read more

Upon arrival I was concerned that it might be more of a bar than a restaurant - but my family was hungry so thought that we would give it a try. They have an extensive menu with something for everyone. They also gave a great beer selection. Our family had virtually something from every food category. We started with their homemade chips - which were great. All of the food was exceptional. Portions were very reasonable. Their deserts were great as well. Been coming here for years especially on Monday nights for the prime rib special. I've been getting disappointed over the past few months with the quality of the meat that has been served. Tonight's prime rib was extremely tough- and when I told my waitress about it, all she told me was that she was sorry- nothing else was done. I also ordered water which when I tasted it had a weird taste to it. I was informed that the salt got into the water of the well and that they were working on it. I was offered a beverage instead, but due to my dietary restrictions there was nothing I could have. Usually on Monday nights this place is filled- tonight it was like a ghost town. One has to wonder if the quality of the food is diminishing, is the customer base because of it? read more

I'm really disappointed in this place. Every time I go, I vow that it will be the last time, but then, Somehow months later family or friends talk me into going again. This time I mean it, I'm not going back. If you're looking to get drunk and want some food to go along with your drink then you probably won't mind Finnagel's. However, if your goal is to find a good place to eat lunch or dinner, pass on this place. The baby shrimp in my house salad were not cleaned and were filled with excrement. A good amount of the lettuce was brown as well. I was tempted to send it back, but I was so hungry that I just tried to pick around the "bad parts" hoping my entree would be better... It wasn't. The waitress got my order wrong and then told me several times that she was correct and she brought out what I ordered (um, no, sorry). Then she walked away to go do something else and we had to ask a different staff member to ask her to come back to the table so I could ask for my food to be corrected. She did take it back but she seemed to have an attitude about the whole thing. By the time my corrected meal came out most of the table was done eating so I felt I had to rush to finish. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was the horrible smell of cleaning solvent. Holy hell did this place wreak! Turned me off big time! It's basically a local dive, where the locals go for beer, (probably the best thing on the menu). The food leaves little to be desired, and the place needs a major overhaul. read more

The foods great BUT.... when we walked in the hostess at the front told my boyfriend he wasn't allowed in bc he was wearing a basketball jersey (aka it was sleeveless). Went in tonight for the first time with my husband for a bite and a beer and was turned away immediately because my husband was wearing a sleeveless hoodie. It was not a "tank top" which I saw at the door was against their "dress code." Give me a break! It's a bar, not fine dinning. Never going back. I love this place! Always in good company at the bar. There is such a great selection of food options, and has to be the best restaurant in the Clinton area! It's ok. Burgers are good. Don't get fancy - forget anything with proscuitto - it will be sliced as thickly as the New York Times and be just as tasty. The dining areas could use some updating but it's a decent burger and sandwich place. It's a fine place for drinks and snacks. If we want real food we got the Reilly and Jakes. read more

I would have given it 4 stars but lately the food has been slacking. I get the same thing every time -- buffalo chicken tenders with the mild sauce and their fabulous nachos. Each time I would expect it to be the same, and it had been for many years until very recently. I hear they have a new chef and I was very disappointed when I got my last order because it just did not have that same magical quality as it always had. The sauce on the buffalo tenders was just OK - it was not as good as the sauce I was used to for so many years. The nachos were not as loaded as usual and the ratio of chips to beef to everything else was a bit off. Other than that, service was prompt as usual. I just wish they hadn't changed the sauce that I've come to love so dearly :( read more

Great pub food especially the Finnagel burger which is ALWAYS cooked to your liking. If you like some pink in your meat I'm sure you know how hard it is to find the perfect burger. Finnagels is the place if you want a delish medium-rare burger with some yummy cajun fries. Their onion rings are crispy perfection, not some frozen Ore-Idas. Finnagel's makes for an enjoyable night out at the bar or a casual lunch or dinner. They offer seating in both a separate dining room and in the bar area. The bar area can get a little loud, but provides a fun, lively atmosphere with lots of TVs to watch whatever game is on. The food is above average and the service is good. My husband and I just moved to the area and came to Finnagel's today to try out a local place to watch football. We were so impressed with how good the food was (especially the Finnagel's wings, holy mackerel!), as well as everything else (homemade chips were delicious as were our sandwiches!). I had the blackened chicken mango wrap, it was so good! Above all else, our server Selina, was fantastic. As a former server myself all throughout college and grad school, I can say her timing was spot on, we never felt rushed, had everything we needed, we felt completely acknowledged, and above all else, we felt valued. As first timers at your establishment, we will 100% be back and can't wait to continue to try new things as we wanted everything on your menu! Wine isn't good but other drinks are. Food is ok. We usually come for the fun vibes/atmosphere!
