Cowboy burger with sweet potato fries

Great service and pub food! Our first time in, driving through the area and so glad we stopped! If Superbowl Sunday takeout business is any indication, this place is a local favorite! Nice casual atmosphere on Sunday afternoon, Im sure its even more fun on a crowded weekend. Lots of theme specials on the board for weeknights. Looking forward to stopping in again!

Lunch stop on our road trip home avoiding the big cities! This pub is so cute and the staff are super friendly. Enjoyed extra cold brews and some great sandwiches. I asked for extra crispy fries and they came out perfect! Thanks!

Superb onion rings. Robust onions but cooked through.

Great local place for some comfort food. The onion rings were outstanding. The onions were robust which is usually a problem for me because they are almost always undercooked but they managed to get them cooked very well without burning the batter, which was excellent. The burger was very well cooked and full of flavor. It was a bit tough to eat due to the tall brioche bun but was still very good. It could have used just a hair more salt and pepper but there is plenty of that on the table so a problem that can be overcome. That is a nit anyway. The fries were coated and nice and crispy. The server was super friendly and the vibe was nice. Great spot.

    Corned beef and cabbage

I was in the mood for corned beef and cabbage since it's Saint Patrick's Day weekend. Even though The Rail is closer to our house, I decided to try Finnagel's since it was also on NJ101.5's list of restaurants that serve the best corned beef and cabbage. https://nj1015.com/st-patricks-day-best-corned-beef-new-jersey/ Both my wife and I had the corned beef and cabbage platter. We were only able to eat half and brought the rest home. The staff were very friendly. When we arrived, we chose to sit in the bar area. They have a free booths slightly raised up, some high top tables, regular tables, and obviously seating at the bar. The bar area was decorated for St. Paddy's Day. They are on Toast, so most of the menu is available for pickup through the app. The check can also be paid by phone, also via Toast. We definitely plan on returning to try out more of the menu.

Finnagel's is a long-time local favorite. I've been coming to Finnagel's ever since I can remember. Great food, great drinks, great service, great prices. As a kid, I loved the Finnagel's Salad, and it's still my go-to order today. If I'm looking for simple bar food, I stick with Cajun fries and/or the wings. I personally prefer the atmosphere of the bar area, and I'm much less of a fan of the dining area. The bar area is intimate and lively but never too loud with classic sports bar vibes.

    Side of beef.

Came here today. Was not impressed. We ordered the nachos with beef on the side, friend ordered cream cheese poppers, and we shared a turkey club sandwich. The turkey club was the only thing that was good because how can you ruin that. Oh wait, they brought the mayo on the side. So I had remove the toothpicks to take apart the mini sandwiches and try to add mayo. I made a mess. The Cajun fries were good, but they did not have a hint of Cajun flavor. The cream cheese poppers were over fried and hard to eat. I didn't like them. The nachos were soggy, loaded with velveeta cheese, jalapeño's, mushy salsa from a jar, not fresh, slimy avocado that tastes fake, black tasteless olives and pieces of lettuce and tomatoes. Friend did not like the way the beef looked so he decided not to eat it. I brought it home for the cat as I don't eat ground beef and this one looked like cat food. Cat said NO! He would not eat it. Thankfully, I didn't order anything else. I don't plan to return. Forgot to add that friend ordered the sangria and it was too sour. I think it had too much lemon and not enough peach snapps.

    "Spicy" Chicken sandwich
    Jackie S.

The French onion was good but I told the server I was allergic to tomatoes and peppers, including spices made from peppers (paprika, chili powder, cayenne, etc) I ordered the chicken sandwich figuring it would be a safe choice. I specifically asked for plain mayo on the side instead of the chipotle mayo because again, allergy. What the menu doesn't say is that it's spicy and the server didn't relay my allergy to the kitchen. I took one bite and I knew immediately i was in trouble. I asked again to please check with the kitchen and she did and came back and said don't eat it, drop it. Long story short I had to leave, but she still charged me for the sandwich that I couldn't eat.

I gave the bartender $100 bill for a $14 tab, she lied and gave me change for a $20, Emily, I literally watched her, put it in her overly tight stinky yoga tights!!!! Never again!!!! Horrible service................

French onion soup - piping hot like it should be (many places don't serve it very hot) and tasty!

Solid casual bar/restaurant in the area. Must have the Finnagel's Hot ones (the Finnagel's hot sauce....but beware it's pretty hot) Great French onion soup The garden salad with their amazing honey mustard is something I order every time. Cute cozy bar area.

Nice place. Has a nice bar and the wings are good. The house wing sauce has a slight mustard flavour.

I noticed AFTER we ordered that there was a cocktail special that night. Our waitress never mentioned any specials, so I tried to flag her down after I had already ordered a different one not on the list. I mentioned to the hostess what I needed, and I hung out waiting for our waitress at the front. After waiting at least 15 min for her to show up from the back, I was able to ask her to change my drink order. The food here is FABULOUS. We got the housemade Irish soda bread and it was amazing. Hubby got the shepherd's pie and it was delicious. I got the lamb chops over asparagus and mashed potatoes and it was FANTASTIC ! I don't know if our waitress was new or what, but our meals were delivered without silverware. We waited several minutes, then finally flagged down another waitress so that we could eat ! If it wasn't for the poor service, this place could easily be 5 stars due to the fabulous food. Thankfully we got out of there before the live music started, loud music is not our vibe. At the very end of the meal, somehow my original drink order made an appearance (that's what I was afraid of, that she didn't cancel the order). The folks at the table next to us ordered the exact same cocktail, so when the bar tried to give it to us, the waitress told them to give it to the table next to us instead. Geez, we were already paying for our meal at the time. Lol The manager did come out and the end of the meal to ask how things were. I did mention I thought our waitress might be new. I didn't get an answer as to if she was, but I posed it more as a statement than a question.

Service was great and beyond friendly. Directions are a bit weird as your gps will tell you to cut through the Exxon gas station and it's easier to just go to the next light and turn right into their parking lot. I ordered their fried pickles and these are on my top 5 for crispness, ability to hold breading, and overall flavor. A must try.

I…read morespent two weeks in Ireland recently, spending most nights in pubs, so I was a both leery and excited to be going to another. Ultimately, while it scratched that itch, it obviously doesn't hit those same highs. Walking in you have the typical Irish pub decor, but with a lot more TVs. However, for the area, that's what you're looking for, as most come to watch a game with a pint. When I went, there was even a projector up to show an additional football match, though I myself was more interested in a soccer match, which they also had on. The bar staff was wonderfully friendly and let me try a couple of beers before settling on my choice for the morning. For food, Guinness Beef Stew was go-to in Ireland, so trying it here, was also very good. The broth was a bit milder and meat was less tender than what I had recently experienced, though I imagine that's just the difference between domestic/imported Guineas and Irish/American beef. It was enjoyable overall and I would certainly have it again. Willie Mcbride's is probably one of the best Irish pubs in the area and I would certainly come back again, especially since comparing to Ireland itself isn't entirely fair.
