Great food, place & atmosphere!!! My coworkers & I came here last weekend and called ahead to reserve the back room that accommodates up to 15 people. We had much better service than we had the last time and our server was on top of our drinks and everything came out on a timely fashion. We ordered a bunch of appetizers & all were very good- buffalo wings w hot & finnegals sauce, nachos & sweet potato fries. My coworker & I then split the finnegals wrap & the chicken Cesar wrap- both were also very good and solid portions!! We were more than stuffed after. However what is a meal without dessert???ale sure you save room for dessert because they are delicious & HUGE! We then split a bunch of desserts at the table including brownie ala mode and the peanut butter pie- excellent. We have been coming here for over 5 years . This was the first time we were treated so rudely by our server Cynthia H . Kind of just threw stuff at us . We sat down waiting for our party & never came for our drink order . Took her time to wait on our party when they came so we would miss happy hour specials . I called 2 days before & was told they do separate checks & when we mentioned it to her she said we don't do that here & left table . Terrible service thanks to her never coming back . I went to Finnagel's with a group of family friends for lunch. Since it was a group of 5, they sat us away from everybody in a colonial room. It was a very nice space and I loved the privacy we had. The building was very antique looking and I liked the architecture. Their playlist was also very nice and I enjoyed almost all the music they were playing! They have an array of options on the menu and can customize dishes for different dietary needs. I had a grilled shrimp cocktail with a side of French fries and it was delicious! Good tasty $10 burgers ordered rare that came out somewhere between rare and medium rare which was just fine since most places way overcook. On a past visit had the prime rib special which was also excellent. Martini was good and they have a good selection of draft beer. Happy hour 4-6pm on Friday is insanely busy with not enough parking but it started to empty out by 7pm. read more

My wife and I had a nice lunch outside at Finnagels on Nov 7. I had the Chicken Fiesta Quesadillas and my wife had the Finnagel's Salad. Both were excellent as usual. It was a beautiful fall day and we just needed to get outside and we weren't alone. A lot of people had the same idea and Finnagel's had a very safe set up so we felt comfortable being there. I went there for the first time to meet some family members who live in Clinton NJ, and thought this may be a good place to meet. It is typical sports bar food, with one exception -- the food was great! The beer was cold! The service was excellent! Did I say the food was Great?! It was really good! There were six of us, and my wife and her two sisters are very picky eaters. I told them, I am just looking for a normal sports bar ( priced decently ) to grab some appetizers, and a few drinks, and the food was so good that we all ordered entrees after ordering and trying six different apps. We figured if the apps were bad, we would not order entrees, but we ended up ordering meals afterwards, took our time and enjoyed the excellent food, drinks, and service! I would highly recommend the potatoes skins, onion rings, Finnagel burger, and the salads were all great! We ordered ribs, nachos, mozzarella sticks, chicken Quadasia's, and more--spent 260.00 plus tip. Nice little spot! Nothing extravagant, but the food and drinks were really good! I was rather impressed with this restaurant's menu, several pages of tempting options. I decided on a turkey BLT wrap with homemade potato chips and a raspberry/lemon rickey (as I am from the south I have never heard of this drink) to drink. Afterwards I topped off the lunch with a piece of carrot cake. Everything placed down before me was excellent, and because of this I highly recommend the restaurant. read more

Customer Service is by far the most important aspect when you deal with the public. First impression at this place.... Hostess.... was so rude. We went in for dinner with my family. We approached the Hostess and I told her there were 5 for dinner. Her response.... "Uh.... we are really busy. You will wait.... a long time." No problem. We can wait. She walked away, never took my name. When she returned she again told me.... "I cannot tell you how long you are going to wait... a really long time". Still did not pick up her pen to take my name. All the while shaking her head and frowning. I told her we would take our business elsewhere. Will not be going back. Perhaps some retaining is in order. read more

Nope. Ordered a burger and fries. No tomato lettuce..nada nothing. Dry burger big huge magnificent roll but the burger...duh where did it go. Really...and those over zapped chicken wings. You didn't need to microwave them so long...shrunk to dried up pieces of old bird crap. Never going here again...disgusting...go anyplace else...don't waste your money...burger fries and wings cost over $30..what a waste...garbage read more

In the 3x we have been here, we left dissatisfied with our meals. They were basic and tasteless.

Food was ok. The French dip was good, not fatty. The potato salad had a strange taste of pickles. The burger was very dry for being cooked medium. The service was fine. Although there were 2 empty waters at the table and only one got filled. The downfall was the loud yelling from the bar. The f word was flying which was just ridiculous. I understand it was a pub but we were in the restaurant part and couldn't carry on a conversation over the screaming from the other room. I'm just glad I didn't have my kids with me. read more

Surprisingly lame. The pics and reviews were so good but maybe I just caught them on an off night. Bartender nice and cute but what a weak pour! Small glass with lots of ice and 3/4 ounce of whiskey. TOTALLY FLAGGED! I never write reviews, im 25 and have been going here since i was a kid. Twice now i have been rejected to place an order between 5-7pm because they're "too busy"...even was nice enough to wait 30 mins to call again by 7pm and WAS STILL REJECTED. Went to dinner here, first time since the pandemic.... I think something went desperately wrong ... maybe management, maybe staffing , etc. whatever it t was the service was horrible. Started out with being served wrong wines. A Merlot instead of a Chardonnay, and a house white instead of a Kendall Jackson. Dinner came. Entrees with no sides , then after asking at least 10 minutes later a salad ( no dressing and a baked potato .... meanwhile entree getting cold.... One at our table got no fries at all. .... Tried ordering desert and coffee . First selection was not available... desert came with a promise a new pot of coffee was being made. After eating desert coffee came. ... oh and one of us order tea and was given a box put on the the table and left there ( along with an array of dirty dinner dishes. And the topping on the cake our friend's side of French fries came out with desert!!!! All this for quite a hefty dinner bill ...... read more

Ate here after hiking in Vorhees State Park. It was a Wednesday around 6 p.m. but we had no problem getting a table for five. The menu offers a lot of choices and they have a fair number of beers on tap. My order was slightly screwed up (the shrimp was supposed to come on a bed of rice) but otherwise everything was fine. Katie is a truly amazing bartender, she's been here for years and knows the menu and drink selection like the back of her hand. Her parents own the place and they run a tight ship - it's been open so long for good reasons! They know their regulars and I'm sure they want to get to know you too! I've never had a problem with the food, in fact it's all really good bar food! Great prices too. A spit shot from 78 and right off 31 near downtown Clinton leads for the perfect location! Stopped in here for a Sunday evening meal. We decided on appetizers. The pretzel sticks were awesome and my boyfriend absolutely loves the beef quesadillas, (he's a repeat customer for those!). My family and I wanted to support local restaurants at this time. We ordered for delivery. That being said, noone mentioned the $12 delivery fee which is crazy. Extremely disappointed with this and will not order again from Finnagels. They should have left it up individual as to how much tip to leave them. Stopped here for dinner after a long day on a train ride and corn maze in Phillipsburg. Found it on yelp. The chicken wrap was the BEST I'VE EVER HAD! I almost never order chicken of any kind because I'm worried it will be a rubber chicken and over cooked. The chicken in this wrap was warm, tender and dark..just how I like it! And the home made honey mustard was amazing! The cajun fries and onion rings were great too. My boyfriend had the reuben and thought it was very good. The waitress disappeared after we got our meal though. I could have used a refill on my drink. We will definitely be back again when we are in the area! read more
