Very disappointing. We ordered clam chowder which came out cold. The crab melts that two of us ordered had so much cheddar cheese on them that you couldn't taste the crab. They were understaffed which led to poor/slow service. And lastly their credit card machine was down. Amazing brunch!!! I'm a frequent bruncher and quite a restaurant snob. The ambiance was very nice. There was a welcoming warm fire in the indoor fire pit to make you forget the cool rain outside. Finn's Favorite Benedict and Chicken Fried Steak with eggs were the best. The sweet cream pancakes were some of the best pancakes I've ever had. This was one of best meals we have had during our Oregon trip. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will come back when in area. read more

One of my favorite restaurants at Seaside. The fish and chips (Halibut and salmon) are delicious.

I'm sure that this is not a popular opinion, but we were not at all impressed with our dining experience at this establishment. I should mention that I myself am a server so I do understand the ins, outs, ups, and downs of service industry life. After being sat at our table, it took about 10 minutes for a server to come and say she would be right with us. Patiently, we waited again for about 7 more minutes for a different server, who's hair was not pulled back, to come begin taking our order. First we were asked what we would like to drink, then she inquired if we were ready to order our meals. After our chowder and starters were dropped, we began eating while we waited for our drinks. Our server came by asking if everything was ok, and at that time we had politely requested our drinks again. Soon after, our entrees we dropped before we had really even made a dent in our starters not leaving much room on the table. The chowder was honestly bland, cream heavy, and not at all appetizing. The two entrees we ordered were the Cioppino and the Smoked Salmon Ravioli. The Cioppino tasted like canned tomato sauce with dry assorted seafood, while the Ravioli had an overpowering dry salmon flavor throughout. Needless to say we did not finish our meals, feeling uneasy, dissatisfied, and eager to leave. Like good patrons, we paid our bills and tipped our service. Not too long after leaving, everyone in our group began having unpleasant reactions to our meal. I then called to report our experience to the manager, who was not available, and had a congenial conversation with the lead on staff. Stopped here on a Sunday night and ate in the bar.....crab cakes were amazing, but fish and chips were rather greasy. Not great service, we happened to be there when one of the staff stopped in for dinner on their off time, and the focus seemed to be on them, so we didn't feel very well attended to when spending 75$ for dinner for two. Service started out a bit rough. We got seated right away, but then forgotten about for about 15 mins. As soon as a waitress noticed though she was super on top of it. Explained to us what had happened and apologized without us even having to say anything. She then got us a full round of appetizers and drinks on the house. None of that was necessary, but it was appreciated. I really appreciated how on it they were to make up for the event ( which really wasn't a big deal we were in no rush) and to make sure we had a great dinning experience. Took the family to Seaside for the day, we were craving some great fish & chowder, most of the reviews were better than most of the other local restaurants so we stopped by, first of all we were told it was happy hour yet the hostess couldn't tell me what exactly was on half price and rambled off a few items and walked away, we decided on our order and advised the waitress who told us sorry since we are not sitting in the bar its full price - so that right there irritated me. We started with the chowder, was decent nothing to write home about. I ordered the fresh fish basket, was a bit greasy for my taste, my daughters creaser salad was better than fish- so with that being said I could barley give this place 2 stars, No I won't go back here again- not just to the so-so food but the issue with being told it was happy hour and then not allowing us the happy hours prices put this place on a low end for us all. Great place to eat if you're in seaside. Went here for a late dinner and had only bar food. Their late night menu is limited but surprisingly Amazing! Their chicken fried steak was to die for I'm not kidding. We then went there the next day to try something on their regular menu and once again fell in love with something else, their Combo crab melt and prime rib dip! They made those two items to perfection. The prime was nice and tender and made the way i requested(medium rare). And the Combo crab melt was the best that my wife has ever had and she works in a big kitchen that serves high quality food daily. This place exceeded our expectations. We were really disappointed in the service at Finns Fish House. We ordered fish and chips, cheese burgers, and a house salad. The food took 30 minutes to come to us. The table next to us came after and got their fish and chips first. It seem as the people around us who came later got their food first. Not only that it took so long for the food to come out, but each item came out separately with 10 minutes in between. By the time our last order came one of our water cups was empty and about 10 minutes later. All three of our cups were empty. One server even walked by twice with a pitcher of water and didn't fill our cups but filled up the cup for the table behind us. Our server, McKenzie, didn't have a very welcoming attitude as we came into the store. It seem as she was okay with all the other tables but us since we were the only Asian family in the restaurant. read more

The hostess who was unnaturally blond gave me a table next to kitchen entrance where pile of booster chairs were on top of each other, while just 4 more tables were occupied!!!! Really bad attitude. Asked a waiter for another table next to window and when the hostess or replacement hostess saw the change she just put the water glass so rough that the water spilled!!! The only good thing was the waiter who was really nice and polite. I think Finns should ask their hostess to dress nicer rather than yoga pants and sweater. Will not go back. read more

Went into Finn's with a group of ten of us midday. We were assuming a wait as ten is quite large, however we didn't even get into the restaurant. The hostess curtly informed us that no outside drinks were allowed inside the restaurant premises. My Nalgene bottle filled with water had to be "put away" as apparently it's against policy? Seriously not a way to do business with such a fixed and unyeilding policies. Could have been an outlier employee however the whole interaction caused us to decide that this wasn't the restaurant to eat at. I had the Cioppino - came with jasmine rice in the middle?? The best items in the bowl were the crab legs & shrimp. The scallops and fish were under seasoned, but cooked thru. The mussels were definitely over-cooked. My husband's Halibut needed a bit more seasoning.
